《Secrets keeper》23 - Not until you two kiss

^^Janitor's closet

In the morning, I woke up with a gigantic smile on my face and I didn't know the reason for it. Then I got ready for school and went downstairs for breakfast. I showed my parents the picture of the event Chloe sent me and Mom complained that why I was in a few of them. She said that I should take more pictures and make them memorable... I was sure Ben and Andrew's fight made it a lot more memorable so did Nate's secret.

When I reached school, I saw Andrew and Ben in the parking lot eyeing each other. I followed him inside to make sure they wouldn't start beating each other again. On the way, everyone's eyes were fixed on them and I knew they got the news about it. They went to their lockers, then Andrew left for his class while Ben stayed behind. I sighed and walked to my class.

I didn't like them fighting, and I wanted them to be friends again.

I was thinking of talking to Andrew about it when I saw him earlier, but he was with Nate, so I didn't. It still bugged me that Nate was having an affair with a teacher not because I liked him, but because it was against the rules.

"You guys shouldn't have gone MIA on me..." Chloe pouted, then gave a sheepish grin. "But since Ben asked Louis to drop me. I forgive you all."

We were sitting at our usual place under the tree at lunch, and this time Ben was also with us.

"I still don't get how Louis helped with this," Ben mumbled, sipping his drink.

"I thought I explained it to you." Toby groaned.

"But still doesn't make any sense." He rolled his eyes.

"Don't worry Ben, I'll tell you." Chloe scooted towards him and leaned to his ear. "I like Louis!" she squealed, making Ben wince and jerk back.

"Ok, Woman." He rubbed his ear, and we laughed.

"Louis is my weakness. I was planning to bury you all alive, but when he came to me last night asking if he could drive me home..." She covered her face with her palm and squealed. "OMG! I couldn't be happier!"

"Why do you like him?" Ben scowled. "It's not like he's special." That made Chloe halt.

"Louis is special." She narrowed her eyes at him. "Tell me this, none of the Cliches won any awards last night, but the only one did. Know who?"

Ben rolled his eyes. "I know-"

"No!" Chloe cut him off. "You are supposed to ask 'who'?"

Ben scowled but still did. "Who?"

"Louis!" Chloe bounced. "And know why?" She paused and blinked her hazel eyes at Ben. He glanced at me and Toby and we nodded our heads.

"... why...?" He asked unsurely.

"Because he's outstanding!" Chloe exclaimed. "Oh, and his speech was so good." She dramatically put her hand on her heart. "It touched here."

I took a bite of my sandwich and wondered what speech he gave.

"Louis is stupid." Ben scoffed, and Chloe gasped.

"No, he isn't! You are!" she huffed. "Why is he here again?" Chloe scowled, looking at me and Toby.

"He's hiding here so he wouldn't have to see Andrew and feel guilty." Toby snickered.

"Aww, Benjamin Forbes is feeling awful for beating his best friend?" Chloe smirked, and Toby winked at her.

"No, I'm not!" Ben shrieked. Toby and Chloe started teasing him while my mind went back to their fight.

It was my first time being in the middle of a fight and it didn't feel right. It was like my responsibility to get them together since I knew the reason.

When the break was over, Chloe and I walked inside while Ben and Toby stayed behind. Chloe was busy thinking about Louis, she didn't pay attention to them. After getting books from our lockers, Chloe went to her class and I ascend the stairs to go to mine. I was strolling towards my biology class but halted when I saw Brittany standing in front alone and her eyes fixed on me.

I'm in trouble.

She pointed her finger at me and jerked her head to her right towards the same class they kidnapped me last time. Without waiting for me, she went inside, and I knew I had to follow her. Gulping, I entered the class and clutched my books to my chest.

Guess I'm going to miss bio again.

"Close the door." She ordered, and I did but glued myself to the door. The fact that she was alone made me alarmed. "I will not eat you." She scoffed, leaning her hip to the podium. "I already had lunch."

"O... K..."

"I have little time, so about we make it quick." She raised her brows, and I bobbed my head. "Good... Now tell me, why did Ben and Drew fight and why were you in the middle of it?"

I knew this was coming. Without wasting a second, I told her the same thing I did to Chloe, keeping Toby out.

"I should have guessed it was that jerk!" Brittany fumed. "That's why Ben didn't come home last night." She halted and snapped her eyes at me. "Was he with you?"

"No..." I shook my head. "Andrew dropped me straight home."

"Then where was he..." she asked herself. I stood there, not sure what to say. She glanced at me and waved her hands. "You can leave now." I blew a breath in relief and turned around, but stopped.

Brittany is Ben's sister and Andrew's best friend. She doesn't want them fighting.

"Um... Brittany..." She glanced at me and lifted her perfectly shaped brow. "Do you want Ben and Andrew to make up?"

"Of course." She scoffed. "I would do anything for them to stop this nonsense."

Great.

"I have an idea that might work."

She narrowed her eyes at me. "What?" I explained my idea to her, and she mocked me. "That will not work."

"You'll never know until you try." I shrugged.

She stared at me for a second, then sighed. "Fine. I'll bring Andrew there."

I beamed. "And I'll get Ben." I extended my hand towards her, but she snorted and push past me.

"Go to your class."

No problem. One step at a time.

"Are you sure he's going to come?" Chloe whispered.

"He will," Toby smirked.

We were sneaking behind the wall in the corridor and waiting for Ben to come. I told Toby and Chloe my plan and they agreed to help. Chloe thinks I texted Ben to come, but actually, Toby asked him to meet him in the janitor's closet. It was after school, so everyone else went home.

"Here he comes!" Chloe alerted, and we stepped back so he wouldn't see us. Peeking from the wall, we watched as Ben entered the janitor's closet with a huge grin on his face.

Poor boy doesn't know what's coming.

"He looks happy to see you." Chloe teased. I shook my head and texted Brittany to bring Andrew.

We sneak behind the wall again when we saw Andrew and Brittany coming.

"Look behind them," Chloe whispered, and I darted my gaze and saw Madeleine, Jordan, and Louis sneaking behind them.

"Why are we here-" Brittany shushed Andrew.

"Just wait." They paused in front of the door. "Open it." Brittany gestured, and Andrew rolled his eyes. He turned around and opened the door inaudibly, peeping inside.

"What the-" Ben and Andrew said simultaneously and before they could do something, Brittany pushed Andrew inside.

"Have fun, boys!" She grinned and slammed the door.

"Hurry, lock it!" Louis, Madeleine, and Jordan came running.

"I'm doing it!" She inserted the key into the doorknob and locked it.

"Let's go!" Chloe ran towards them, and Toby and I followed her.

"OPEN THE DOOR, B!" Andrew's voice came as he banged on the door.

"Not until you two kiss!" Louis snickered.

"This is a brilliant idea, Lilly." Madeleine praised us when we reached them.

The banging paused, and Andrew's questioning voice came. "Lillian? Who else is behind this?!"

"Everyone!" Chloe exclaimed.

"So..." Brittany turned towards me. "How long do we have to wait for them to get back?"

"Depends how stubborn they are." I shrugged.

"It'll take the entire month then," Jordan grumbled.

"I'm going to count to three!" Ben yelled. "And If the door isn't open, I'll teach you all a lesson."

"Maybe we should open the door." Louis shuddered.

"No way!" Brittany shouted. "I'm not letting you out, Ben. I'm your twin I can be stubborn as you."

"Whatever you are trying to achieve will not happen," Andrew said.

"We'll see about that," Chloe said.

"How did you get those keys?" Toby asked, inspecting Brittany.

"You can get anything you want with a little money." She grinned.

"Your mom will flip," Louis eyed the camera in the top corner of the wall, and my eyes widened.

I didn't think of them before!

"We'll all get in trouble for this..." I mumbled, looking at the camera.

"Chills." Madeleine patted my shoulder. "We have the Principal's daughter with us nothing will happen."

In the background, Andrew kept pounding on the door, but no one paid attention to him.

"She's a pu**y." Brittany extended her middle finger toward the camera. "She can't do anything."

The twins seriously hate their parents.

"What do we do now?" Jordan said and glanced at everyone.

"I will not miss this drama," Madeleine sat on the floor opposite the janitor's door. "Let's play some games till we wait." Jordan shrugged, sitting next to her and I smiled discreetly, watching them.

Jordan is like a puppy around Madeleine.

"You all can leave," Brittany looked at me, Chloe and Toby. "We'll take it from here."

"No way." Toby and Chloe shook their heads. "We are staying."

"I can tell you all my story behind my wolf loner costume-" Louis began but was cut off by Brittany's gaze. "Or not."

"I don't mind listening to it." Chloe shrugged and Louis grinned.

"Great!" He dragged her a little further away in the hall.

Brittany took her phone out and sat on the left side of the door. I glanced at Toby and he shrugged. We leaned to the right side and slid down. I turned my head to my side and there was silence in the janitor's closet.

Hope this plan works.

"Let me out!" I screamed for the nth time but no one answered. I knew they were sitting outside and chatting. It's been around fifteen minutes since they've locked us.

"Brittany, open the f**king door already!" Ben shouted.

"Nah-uh, my little brother." She mocked.

"By a minute!" Ben groaned as his face turned red.

I chuckled and hide my grin with the back of my head when he snapped his eyes at me. I averted my eyes from him and looked around the janitor's closet. There was an LED light attached to the ceiling, and a few cleaning supplies were there. I came here many times but only to hook up with girls. And now here I was sitting with my best friend on the floor.

"Maybe we should try a different tactic." Toby's voice came.

"That you open the door," I suggested, but no one answered.

"How about we make them talk?" I heard Lillian whisper.

"How will we do that?" Chloe asked.

I rolled my eyes and leaned the back of my head on the wall as they talked about their plan in hushed voices.

They don't know we can still hear them.

"Idiots," Ben mumbled.

"It's decided," Brittany said after a few minutes. "We will ask some questions and if you both answer them honestly, we'll let them go."

"I'm not playing this game, B," Ben grumbled.

"If you want to get out then yes, you will otherwise you 'both' are stuck in there."

"Fine. Shoot." I said, and Ben narrowed his eyes at me.

"Good. I am going to start with a simple question." She cleared her throat. "I'm the prettiest girl in our high school. True or false."

"True." Ben and I rolled our eyes.

"My turn." Maddie's voice came as she pushed Brittany, making her yelp.

"I'm not done!" She complained.

"We all get one question, so you should have thought about it," Maddie answered and knocked on the door. "My question for you both is... When was the last time you two hooked up?"

Brittany scoffed. "What kind of question is that-"

"It's my question." Maddie cut her off. "Now answer boys."

I ran my brain the think about it when Ben answered. "Yesterday."

Everyone gasped, including me, and I glanced at Ben.

It couldn't be with Lillian because I dropped her.

"Why are you all looking at me?" Lillian nervously asked.

"In case you all are wondering." Ben narrowed his eyes at me. "It wasn't Lillian."

A Series of questions started coming as everyone inquired Ben who it was.

"I will not answer that."

They all groaned, and the pointer turned at me.

"Before Christmas..." I answered, and they burst off laughing.

"You are supposed to answer the truth, Drew." Brittany snorted.

"What about that redhead you were hanging out with." Jordan scoffed.

"Don't mention that bit*h and I haven't hooked up with her," I growled.

"Aw." Maddie cooed. "Has our playboy gotten celibate?" They burst out laughing and I glared at the door.

"Next!" I yelled.

"Have you ever been in love with a girl?" Chloe asked.

"No." Ben and I said simultaneously.

"They are heartless jerks." Maddie clicked her tongue.

"Do you have any regrets that you wished you could change before you die?" Louis asked. Everyone went silent after that.

"That's deep bro," Jordan said.

"It's better than Brittany's and I'm curious." He said calmly.

"I don't have any regrets-" I began, but Lillian cut me off.

"Of course you have."

"I don't." I frowned.

"Look around and you'll figure it out." She said, and I knew she was talking about the fight yesterday.

I side glanced at Ben and saw him staring at me. I knew it was wrong of me to assume they hooked up and called him what he despises.

"Fine." I sighed. "I regret calling you your father. I shouldn't have said that."

"And I regret I punched you," Ben smirked. "I should have broken your bones."

"I just apologized and you are making it worse." I stood up and pointed at my face. "Isn't this enough?!"

He scoffed, getting up. "If Toby wouldn't stop me, you would be lying in some hospital right now!"

"I'm sorry ok! but you haven't been the best friend these days. I'm trying to look out for you!"

"You sound like a clingy girlfriend right now." He said deadpan.

"If you don't want me to worry about you then let me know and we'll end this now," I growled.

"Of course, I need a friend like you in my life but I also need to be alone sometimes!"

"Being alone doesn't solve problems!"

"Fine. Then I'll tell you when I'm ready!"

"Fine!"

"Fine! And I'm sorry I did that to your face!"

"You should be!"

"I am!"

We huffed, staring at each other, and the door burst open. We turned and saw everyone looking at us with wide eyes.

"Damn! I thought I'll catch them making out." Maddie said we all gave her a blank look. "What? They were fighting like a couple."

Brittany rolled her eyes and darted them between Ben and me. "You two done?"

"Yeah..." Ben and I smirked.

"Good. Let's go celebrate it. I'm hungry." Louis said, rubbing his stomach and everyone agreed.

"I can't," I said, putting my bag strap on my shoulder. "I need to go home."

They all frowned, and Maddie gave me a lopsided grin. "Is Drew the dare grounded."

Squeezing my eyes shut, I groaned while they burst out laughing and teased me. I opened my eyes and they caught Lillian's sparkling green ones. I gave her a grateful smile, which she returned.

It was because of her we made up, otherwise, we take days or months. I was thankful to her.
