I opened my eyes to be welcomed by the warm sun. I blink a couple of times and looked at my chest. There staring at me was a bird. I stared at it as it cocked its head to the side. The bird then moved closer to my face. I screamed and smacked it off of me. The bird flew but stared down at me.

"What do you want you stupid bird" I said soon regretting it.

The bird screeched and started to attack me. I screamed and ran into the forest. I jumped through the trees hoping to loose the bird. I finally did after five minutes. I slid down the tree I was hiding and looked around.

I looked ahead and I saw a blob of orange sitting on the ground a head. I journeyed over to see it was Naruto. I then paused when I saw someone standing over Naruto. I couldn't see the person's face. But all I know is that they had long hair.

I watched to see what the person was doing. I watched as they kneeled down and eyed him. I growled my fox instincts kicking in. I appeared over Naruto glaring directly at the person in front of us. I grabbed that person's wrist.

"Don't ever touch my brother" I growled.

"I wasn't going to hurt him, I was trying to wake him up" said the guy.

"YOU'RE LYING!" I hissed. I guess my shouting woke up Naruto because he slightly opened his eyes.

Naruto stared up at me and then towards the guy in front of us. Naruto slightly blushed and sat up quickly. He pushed me off when he got up so quickly. I narrowed my eyes and sat on Naruto protecting him.

"Who the heck are you" Naruto asked still in a daze,"Oh I mean where did you come from?"

"I'm gathering herbs" said the guy/girl

"Herbs"

"Yes that's right. They are used for treating illness and wounds" the person said.

I hissed at the person but they just smiled at me. I puffed my cheeks, and Naruto sat me next to him. He then began helping to pick herbs, being the nice person I am I helped to.

"You start early don't ya" Naruto questioned

"Its calming. I didn't think I find anyone out here sleeping out in the woods" the person stated.

I watched as Naruto and the guy/girl started to have a conversation. I would have joined in but it was nothing I wanted to be apart of. A sigh escaped my lips. I looked over to see that guy/girl stand up and start to walk away.

"Oh and by the way. I'm a boy" the boy replied before walking away.

Naruto's jaw dropped and his face turned different shades of red. I snickered and laughed at his face. I rolled over laughing, my face burning from laughter.

"AAAAA! HE'S EVEN CUTER THAN SAKURA!" Naruto exclaimed falling over.

I chuckled and stood up. I looked ahead to see Sasuke walking this way. My face turned red remembering what happened last night. SASUKE KISSED ME! TWICE! Sasuke looked at us and turned his attention towards Naruto.

My ears flattened against my head. That was kinda rude, Sasuke punched Naruto in his head and Naruto whinned.

"OW! HEY WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" Naruto whined

"Hey dork just forget about breakfast? Your such a loser. " questioned Sasuke

"Hey NaNa I'm going to go so some exploring. I'll be back soon" I said heading towards the forest.

"Alright Kitsune! See ya!" Naruto waved as he pulled out a kunai.

I smiled I guess they were going to do some training. I looked at Sasuke and he didn't even look at me. I sighed and jumped up into one of the trees and set out to explore the forest.

I jumped down when I came to a clearing. I saw nothing but more tree I sighed and started to head back. Sasuke then came across my mind. I wonder why he didn't even look at me. Maybe he doesn't like me anymore, or maybe he just messed with my emotions. I sniffed and felt my cheek. I hadn't even noticed i was crying.

I whipped my face and picked up my pace. I looked to see my father and Sakura looking up at a tree. I narrowed my eyes to see Naruto up in the tree. I grinned proudly for him.

"What do you think! High enough for you guys!" Naruto grinned.

Naruto jumped up and stood up. I glanced at him as I saw him slip. I gasped and Sakura let out a girly scream. I was about to run to the tree when Naruto caught himself. I growled.

"YOU IDIOT!" I screamed

"Haha! Just kidding I fooled you guys!" Naruto laughed.

"Why do i think this is going to be bad?" muttered my father.

Naruto let out another laugh before he lost his chakra control. This time I knew it wasn't a joke. I screamed, this idiot is going to hurt himself. I heard footsteps and I looked to see Sasuke had grabbed Naruto. I sighed knowing that he was safe.

But i was suppose to be the one to save him not Sasuke.

******Time Skip********

I quietly ate my dinner while everyone else ate. I laid my head on the table trying to relax from all the thoughts running through my head. My father looked at me with worried eyes, i turned away from him. I didn't need him to worry about me.

"In a few more days the bridge will be finished. I have you to thank for that" Tazuna said., "I have something to ask you, but i haven't got the chance until now"

My father and the rest of us looked at him. I rose an eyebrow at him. The great Tazuna has something to say everyone! Bow down to the king! I snickered at my little joke, but then my father kicked my foot. I glared at him.

"Hmm" hummed my father.

"Why did you stay and protect me? Even after you found out that I was lying to you to bring you here" Tazuna questioned, his gaze was more towards Kakashi.

"Those who stray from the path of justice have, no courage. But under the wing of a strong leader, cowardness can not survive." Dad quoted.

I laughed at everyone's dumbfounded face. Cause they didn't understand what he just say. I was even confused myself.

"That was a quote from the first Hokage" Dad said.

Then dinner went back to be being very quiet. I sighed and laid my head on my father shoulder. He patted my head and rubbed behind my ears. I sighed happily. I loved it when people petted me behind my ear. I looked at Inari and saw in deep thought. He glanced at Naruto then back at this plate. I could see tears forming in his eyes.

"Inari..." i muttered worriedly.

"But why" Inari whispered loud enough for us to here.

Naruto sat up looking at him, "What did you say?"

"All this stupid training is just a waste of time! Gato's got a whole army, they'll beat you down and destroy you. These cool things you say that doesn't mean anything. The strong always win and the weak always lose!" Inari exclaimed.

"Just speak for yourself, it won't be like that for me you got that" Naruto said.

"Why don't you just shut up!?! Just looking at you makes me sick. You don't know anything about his country you're just butting in! Always laughing and playing around. You don't know what it's like to suffer or to be treated like dirt." Inari snapped.

Naruto looked up and I could feel his emotion. Naruto knew how Inari felt, but Naruto's matter was even worse. I kinda went through this but it wasn't bad. Only because Lord Hokage adopted me as his granddaughter.

"Just listen to yourself, whining and complaining like some sorry little victim. You can whimper all day for all I care. You're nothing but a coward!" Naruto said synthesizing the word coward.

"Naruto you went too far" scolled Sakura.

Naruto grunted in reply and walked off. I was going to go after him but my father grabbed my arm. He shook his head.

"Kitsune let Naruto cool off a bit before you go talk to him" my father suggested. I sighed and nodded.

***minutes later***

I walked into Naruto and Sasuke's room. Sasuke wasn't anywhere in sight, and I looked over at Naruto. He was sitting on his bed facing the window. I climbed onto the bed and laid my head on his shoulder.

"You okay?" I asked looking up at him.

"Yeah..." Naruto replied.

I nodded and laid down behind him. Naruto laid down and faced me. I smiled at him, and poked his nose. Naruto sat up holding his nose faking like he was hurt. I laughed.

"Naruto, you'll shown Inari. You're the only one that can show him that there can alway be a hero" I said smiling.

"I know, that's what I plan on doing! Thanks Kitsune" Naruto grinned.

I placed a kiss on his nose and headed out the room. I walked down the hall to my room. I smiled knowing I was able to make Naruto smiled. I then bumped into something. I squealed by my hand was caught before I fell. I opened my eyes to see Sasuke. My cheek turned slightly pink.

Sasuke pulled me so I was standing on my feet. I smiled at him with slight pink cheek.

"Thanks duckbutt" I said.

"Hn.." sasuke replied before walking away. I felt kinda hurt.

"Hey ducky wait. I wanna ask you something" I grabbed Sasuke's arm.

He turned around, "What Kitsune"

"Do you remember what happened last night" I asked.

"No" Sasuke snapped, "is that all you need"

Out of shock I kissed him again, but this kiss wasn't anything like the one last night. Sasuke pushed me and I hit the wall. I whimpered slightly. He glared at me with rage.

"What the hell Kitsune. You're acting just like Sakura, you're being annoying. I don't want anything between us. I don't care about your feelings towards me cause I don't feel the same way. I only see you as a comrade and nothing more. Beside I wouldn't date anyone like you" Sasuke growled.

I felt my heart break for the first time in forever. Tear filled my eyes as his words sunk in. 'I wouldn't date anyone like you' his words replayed in my mind. I felt my breath start to get heavy. I cried harder and my tail shook. My body felt super numb.

In a flash I saw something orange hug me. I snapped out of my shock to see Naruto hugging me. I whimpered and cried harder into his shirt. I heard Sasuke's footsteps vanish. Naruto rubbed my head calming me down. He may have calmed me down but my heart was still broken

(SASUKE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. YOU NEVER SAY THAT TO A GIRL NEVER EVER. i JUST WANNA STRANGLE HIM FOR HURTING KITSUNE BUT THAT'S NOT MY JOB. Back to the story)

I woke up the next morning not seeing Naruto anywhere. I got up and walked downstairs towards the kitchen. I peeked from the corner to Tsunami washing the dishes.

"Hey do you know where everyone is?" I asked.

Tsunami turned around, "Oh your sensei and the others went to the bridge. You just missed Naruto he just left a couple of moments ago. Oh and your sensei gave you the day off"

I sighed and headed back upstairs. I did my normal morning routine and I slipped on my ninja outfit. I then headed back down stairs. Tsunami gave me a cup of tea and I drank it slowly. I smiled at the taste of the tea, it was calming down.

"Hey Kitsune do you mind going to get Inari for me" Tsunade asked.

I nodded, "Sure thing!"

I got up from the table and walked upstairs. I heard the water running in the bathroom. I knocked on the door and I heard a faint reply from the other side.

"Inari your mother wants you to come and help her" I said.

"Alright, i'll be right down" he replied.

I walked away from the door and towards my room. I packed up my ninja pouch with some weapons and then a summoning scroll. I placed the pouch on my hip and tied my hair up. I heard a glass break from downstair, I shook it off. Until I heard a scream.

I raced downstairs to see the kitchen a mess and Inari balled up on the floor crying. I looked around for Tsunami, I then walked over to Inari.

"Inari? What happen?" I asked.

He looked up at me with tears flooding his eyes, "Two of Gato's men took her hostage!"

I hugged him tightly while he cried harder. I then wiped his tears away, and I smiled at him. Inari looked at him with a sad expression on his face. Man this kid went through a lot. He lost his father and now his mother is gone. I know how he feels. I watched as my father was taken from me and sealed away.

"Inari don't worry you tried your best but sometimes our best just isn't enough. You're a strong kid with a very strong heart. Just like father was you're going to be a hero to. We are going to save your mother, from the people who took her. I'm going to prove that heroes can be anyone even you" I smiled.

Inari looked at me and gave me a sad smile while looking down. I picked him up then formed a hand sign. I transformed into my ninetails form or somewhat of it. I still only had one tail but i was bigger than the average fox. Inari held onto my fur as I ran outside the house. I came to a halt when I saw the two swordsmen who were holding Tsunami.

I glance up at Inari and nodded. I ran jumping over the swordsmen and growling at them. They were taken back along with Tsunami. I snarled while Inari climbed off my bad.

"Let go of my mother!" Inari commanded and ran at them.

"No Inari! If you dare hurt my son I'll" Tsunami was cut short as the gray guy knocked her out.

I gasped and appeared in front of Inari quickly and used a substitution jutsu. I laid Tsunami on the ground, and I turned around about to attack when something appeared in front of me. I narrowed my eyes and saw Naruto.

"Late as always hmm Nana" I chuckled standing up

"Naruto!" Inari exclaimed.

"Inari! What you just was brave" Naruto smiled at him.

"Oh look they're those ninja that Tazuna hired! Let's get them!" They exclaimed.

I watched Naruto smile at them, "I already did"

In a flash two of his clones came from behind and kicked the two sword guy. I watched in amazement, Naruto has gotten stronger.

"You did it! That was so excellent. Just like a real ninja" Inari exclaimed.

"Believe it! I told you I was a real ninja" Naruto laughed.

Inari smiled then laughed. They both were laughing like something was wrong with them. I sweat dropped, to think that I have knucklehead laughing like mad men. Oh boy. I sniffed before I sneezed. Naruto did right after me.

"They say when you sneeze that somebody is talking about you" Inari said.

"Do you really believe that, do you?" Naruto questioned, "Oh yeah sorry about yesterday. Calling you a coward was kinda mean but that's not true your-"

"Brave!" I started hugging Inari while picking him up. I glanced at Naruto and he narrowed his eyes at me. I laughed.

Inari then let out tears of joy. Naruto placed his arms around his head grinning at Inari. I smiled and kissed Inari's cheek causing him to blush. I smiled at him.

"Alright Inari we are leaving you in charge. We're going to the bridge" I smiled.

"Yeah it's not easy being a hero!" Naruto said.

I then took off running towards the bridge with Naruto right behind me. I grabbed Naruto's hand and teleported us to closer to the bridge. We then continued running. As soon we got closer there was a heavy mist. I stopped and closed my eyes feeling the chakra in the air. I sense a chakra form surrounded by many.

"Naruto let's do!" I whispered to him.

"Let's make an entrance." Naruto grinned and jumped up towards the bridge.

I formed a hand sign and teleported us towards the bridge but surrounding us were flames. Everyone stopped and stared at us. Naruto was also able to knock the boy in the mask out of his mirrors.

"Number one hyper-active knucklehead ninja, and the fox" the boy said.

Hey how come Naruto gets the cool name and I'm just the fox. I pouted and the smoke cleared.

"Naruto Uzumaki and Kitsune Hatake are here!"
