He slept in and woke up at lunchtime. He stretched his arms over his head and yawned. His eyes fell on the phone on his nightstand and he reached for it and dialed Niall.
"How much do you want to kill me on a scale from one to ten?" Niall asked when he answered the call.
Harry laughed.
"Zero."
"Really? So the date was a success then?" Niall questioned.
"It was amazing. Thank you, Niall, but don't try shit like that again!" Harry said, sounding chipper.
"I don't think I have to. Louis called a minute ago and he said the same thing." Niall answered.
"Really? He did?" Harry said cheerfully.
Niall laughed.
"Yes."
"That's...yeah. I have to go and get my car. I'll see you tomorrow." Harry said.
"Alright. Bye Harry." Niall said and hung up.
Harry felt energetic and jumped up from the bed to hit the shower. Thirty minutes later he left his apartment and took a bus to the restaurant. His smile grew big when he saw no other than Louis getting into his car. He shouted his name and waved. Louis waves back so he walked up to him.
"Hi!" He said breathlessly.
"Hi Haz. Getting your car?" Louis asked.
"Yeah." Harry replied. He was at loss for words and just stood there, shifting his weight between his left and right foot.
"I was about to call you. Wanna hang out?" Louis asked.
"Absolutely! What do you wanna do?" Harry asked.
"I don't know? Wanna see my place? I'm hungry. I haven't eaten yet. I slept way too long." Louis chuckled.
"Same! Yeah, sounds good. I'll just follow you with my car." Harry smiled.
They drove to Louis's apartment building and Harry parked his car and got out. They went inside and Louis unlocked the front door. Harry looked around as they walked into the living room.

"Nice place!"
"Thank you. So, what do you wanna eat? Chinese?" Louis suggested.
"Sounds good." Harry smiled.
He sat down on the couch. Louis went to the kitchen and grabbed a menu for takeout and a couple of minutes later they had placed their orders through the phone. Louis noticed that Harry had scooched closer to him and hid a smile. He turned to look at him.
"Wanna make out?" He blurted out and mentally facepalmed over the fact that he just said that.
Harry's face slowly lit up in a dimpled smile and he let out a surprised laugh.
"Sure."
"I didn't mean to be so blunt about it but I didn't just wanna kiss you in case you didn't want me to." Louis rambled and chuckled nervously.
"That's sweet. Shut up and kiss me." Harry grinned.
"You kiss me!" Louis retorted playfully.
Harry giggled and hid his face in his hands before he leaned in. Louis watched him fondly. How could anybody be that cute? Harry's eyes flickered between Louis's lips and eyes before he finally went for it and presses their lips together, cradling the back of Louis's head with one hand. Louis let out a content sigh and kissed him back. It felt even better than the first time they kissed.
They opened their mouth to the kiss and let their tongues play. Harry came climbing into Louis's knee and wrapped his arms around his neck, pressing their chest together. His actions made Louis moan softly and his hand found his way under Harry's shirt, caressing his back.
Louis was growing hard and his head was spinning. Harry was electrifying to be around. His heart jumped in his chest and he was already turned on. He broke the kiss and tried to catch his breath.

"You are fucking fantabulous but I don't want to go rush into things."
Harry burst out in a fit of giggles.
"Fantabulous? Nice choice of word."
"Fantastic, marvelous, wonderful, just pick a better one." Louis chuckled.
Harry's cheeks got a rosy touch and he hugged Louis, wrapping his arms and legs around him.
"Thank you. So are you by the way, or should I say fantabulous?"
Louis buried his nose in Harry's neck and breathed in his scent.
"Stop teasing me. Are you okay with taking it slow?"
"Yeah. I like that." Harry answered, still hugging him closely.
"Good." Louis smiled.
The doorbell rang and Harry jumped in surprise and burst out laughing. He let go of Louis and climbed off his lap.
"Shit! That scared the hell out of me."
"Talk about mood kill but I'm starving. I'll be right back!" Louis laughed and went to get the food.
Harry just sat there with a goofy smile on display. Louis asking if they could take it slow meant the world to him. Maybe this was the start of something great?
Louis returned with the food and they ate while the conversation flowed naturally. When they were done Louis leaned back and grunted.
"I'm full!"
"Me too, but it was good." Harry said, resting his head against the couch cushion behind him.
"Harry? Would you like to catch a movie someday later next week?" Louis asked, eyeing him with a sweet smile on his lips.
"Of course! Yeah, if we eat like this every time we hang out my jeans won't fit me anymore." He added with a giggle.
"Then you just have to buy bigger jeans. You look great no matter what." Louis replied.
"Thanks, Lou!" Harry beamed.
"Wednesday?" Louis asked.
"Wednesday...oh! Cinema? Yes." Harry answered.
"Good." Louis smiled. He put an arm around Harry and pulled him down with him so Harry was resting his head on his chest. He kissed the top of Harry's mop of curls affectionately.
They laid in silence, listening to each other breathing, noticing when they started breathing in and out at the same time, synchronized. They both fell asleep like that.
Harry woke up an hour later and nuzzled his face against Louis's chest before he remembered where he was. He tried to sit up but Louis held him down.
"No, snuggle me some more. It's cozy." He whined, sounding like he just woke up.
"I should go home, workday tomorrow." Harry giggled but he wrapped his arm tighter around Louis and played with his hair.
"Mmmm...okay. I'll let you go in a little while." Louis answered, almost purring.
A couple of minutes later Louis let go and they sat up. Louis yawned and stretched his arms over his head.
"We fell asleep."
"Yeah. It was cozy. See you tomorrow?" Harry asked and got up.
"Of course." Louis smiled and followed him to the door to give him a goodbye kiss.

Shift (Ben 10+DCU Fanfiction)
Omnitrix+ DCU, what's not to like? The main character will not be Ben Tennyson, rather someone from our world who gains the Omnitrix Hello! This fanfiction Shift is what I wanted to do for an homage to what I thought were underrated pieces of media, Ben 10 and some DCU characters. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t add context to two of the major works that inspired Shift, Dial, and A Practical Guide to Evil. Dial is another ben 10 fanfiction, however that story takes place in the MCU, and with an adult that is already a grown-up at the beginning of the story. Dial, by my own accounts, is more superficially Like shift, even though the Omnitrix is a central device in both. My protagonist starts out around 18 years old, so is less serious and can build relationships with some of the junior justice league members, and then later on in the story meet the Justice League officially. The tone will be more light-hearted at the beginning of the story as teenagers are known to use sarcasm and jokes at each other’s expense. Furthermore, in Dial, the protagonist has a well-developed knowledge of the MCU which he uses to have knowledge on events and characters, that the character in Shift will not have. While the MC will have some knowledge of people's abilities, lesser-known characters and people's real identities will be not included as much, but the MC of Shift will have some knowledge. APGTE's influence is deeper than Dials'. The epigraphs at the beginning of every chapter are an example of that, a place for light-hearted jokes and worldbuilding that's not pure exposition, but I also want to incorporate narrative stories to Shift (heroes win more than lose, providence, etc) on a lighthearted scale. While the heroes of Shift will have to work to win against villains, the MC of Shift will be allowed limited precognition, through narratives tropes and archetypes as a trade-off of less knowledge of the DCU. For example, a villain a hero faces might monologue, but the MC will not instinctively know how to counter every villain they encounter. I also wanted to bring in more realism than usual superhero stories, ie: the MC cannot just walk and have a meeting with Batman or Superman, he would have to “work his way up” in terms of credibility and whatnot. The Aliens that show up in Shift I tried to make different than the ones in Dial, just to share the love for lesser-known characters. And to make it fairer for the villains of the DCU, the main character will not wantonly use if gain at all an Alien X or a ben 10 form of Kryptonians, just so the characters have to work a little bit for victory. I urge anyone reading to consider checking out both APGTE and Dial as they are both amazing works, and I hope you enjoy them. The beginning of how the MC enters the DCU will not be as important as him actually existing in that universe, so that is why a ton of time is not spent on that part of the story. Chapters will be around 2.5 thousand words and come out around every weekday.
