"Gun!!!" Mac yelled as shots rang out, echoing through the safe house...

It all happened so fast, Kandy's brother went for a gun that he had concealed, he and Mac both opened fire, taking him out. It felt like it took minutes, but it was over within seconds.

Kandy was yelling and screaming, rightfully so. Jude grabbed her arm gently, taking her out of the house. There was no reason for her to see it all.

They needed to leave, someone had to have called the cops, after the gunshots in the small neighborhood.

"Let's go." He said, handing her a helmet. She got on the back of Mac's bike and they went back to the clubhouse.

Once they arrived, Mac brought Kandy inside and down to the basement, where Noah was being held.

"You told them everything?" She yelled, rushing toward him. Mac grabbed her and pulled her back. "Yeah, he did, but we want to hear it from you so start talking." He said as Noah looked at Kandy nervously.

"I just wanted to be with you." Kandy said desperately, looking at Jude.

"And he wanted to be with her." She said, pointing at Noah.

"So we were going to work together to break you two up. We weren't going to hurt her, he was just going to take her somewhere, and I was going to see you while she was gone, I was going to get you to see that we should be together, and he was going to help her find out about it, about us. And then everything would be perfect, we would be together, and they would be together." She said.

"You're delusional." Jude said, shaking his head incredulously.

He took a step toward her, getting into her face. "We will never, be together, you are nothing compared to Maddie." He told her.

Kandy nodded. "I know now." She said, sighing.

"But we were never going to hurt her." She said, seriously.

Jude shook his head. "Leave town, if ever see either of you again, it will be the end of you." He said threateningly, looking at both of them. They both nodded feverishly, agreeing to the terms.

"Mac is going to drive you to the airport and buy you tickets to Maine, do not ever come back to California. Is that clear?" He asked.

After they both agreed, Mac took them both to the airport and made sure they had gotten on the plane to Maine, the farthest state from California.

Maddie paced in the living room, waiting for Jude to call her, or text her, or come back home, anything at all. He had been gone for two hours already.

She heard the front door open and turned around. Jude walked in and smiled at her. "It's over, you were right, it was Kandy, and you won't be seeing her or Noah ever again." He told her as he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her.

She sighed against his chest. "And you're okay?" She whispered, looking him over.

"Yeah babe, I'm fine." He said with a smile.

He looked over at Katie.

"Thanks for staying with her, Mac is going to come pick you up in a few." he said before kissing her cheek.

Katie nodded.

"Let's go to bed." He said to Maddie, kissing her lips. She nodded and they went upstairs.

"What happened?" She asked softly as she changed into her pajamas.

Jude shook his head. "Not tonight." He told her. "Tonight, I just want to be with you, and sleep, we can talk about it later." He told her.

Maddie nodded, she was exhausted and needed to sleep anyway.
