Bella killed her way through the throne room, making her way to Aro who was busy killing the Romanians gathered army.
A battle cry was heard from behind, making Bella turn around but before she could find to whom did the cry belonged to, her vision was covered by a tall body.
A gasp left Bella's throat as she realized who it was. His body stepped behind, losing his footing and almost falling on Bella. Corin stood dumbfounded as she saw James falling on Bella.
"James," Bella whispered, her hand going to the dagger in his heart. "James!" She exclaimed, catching the kings and the high guards attention. Aro ran in his direction, kneeling down beside Bella.
"Arrest her," Aro said coldly. Alec and Felix sprang into action; Alec let his power control Corin and Felix picked her up easily.
The fighting continued but Bella sat there on the floor, drenched in James blood. Bella didn't know what happened but she felt Aro's hand grip her waist. He, carefully and effortlessly, picked her up and walked to back to their chambers.
Aro helped Bella clean up and change into something more comfortable than her combat suit. Aro gently laid her down on the bed, his hand caressing her hair.
Bella curled up into a ball in the middle of the bed. Tears brimmed in her red eyes. "Why did he had to die?" Bella asked, her voice breaking in last. A dry sob leaving her mouth.
"He died saving you, love," Aro replied. "But why him?" Bella choked on her words. Aro laid down beside her, his hands coming to rest on her waist. His hands giving Bella some sort of comfort.
Bella placed her head on Aro's chest. The couple laid like that for hours before Aro grabbed Bella's hand. Bella looked up, her eyes finding his.

"Will you marry me, Bella?" Aro asked softly. Bella let out a smile. "Yes," she leaned into a kiss. Aro smiled into the kiss, sensing a smile grow on Bella's lips as well.
Bella broke the kiss to admire Aro, her eyes soft and expressive. Aro's fingers automatically interlaced itself in her brown, soft hair. He curled a string of her hair around his finger.
"I have never told you but I love your hair," Aro said, his eyes scanning Bella's every single feature. Bella giggled like a teenager girl. She bit her lower lip, a smile breaking on her face.
"Thanks," she whispered. Aro smiled, placing a small kiss on her temple. Bella interlaced her fingers with his.
Bella stood on a raised podium in a ball room. The ball room was decorated with red and black decorations. Bella wore a black, off-shoulder, sweetheart neckline gown. The gown bugged Bella's figure beautifully.
The sequins embedded on the gown glowed in the moonlight. A smile graced Bella's face. Beside her stood the king of the Volturi. Aro. His face was also adored by a rare, genuine smile.
Aro looked at Bella with love and affection in his eyes. Bella returning his gaze equally, her smile widening. And then, they leaned in for a slow yet passionate kiss.
"You look ethereal, my queen," Aro whispered in Bella's ear, a smile on his face. "Thank you, my king," Bella replied, leaning in for another kiss.
