《do you》ii

after minutes of waiting, chaeyoung finally arrived with her arms wide open. i accepted this and laughed at my friend's act.

"come on chae, we just talked on the phone a while ago."

"i know," she replied and we both laughed again then broke the hug.

"i'm glad you didn't get slaughtered."

"yeah, chaeng." i say. 'just bumped right into an angel'.

"and because of this, you have to treat me to all these," i said motioning at the restaurants surrounding us. chaeyoung shook her head.

"you gave me a headache for searching for you. it should be the other way around!"

we bantered for a couple of minutes then chaeyoung surrendered.

"good thing i gave you my number before we left,"

"i saved it on my phone, which i broke before we left." i timidly smiled and did a peace sign.

"goodness gracious, you never handle things gently." chaeyoung clicked her tongue. "so you asked for a stranger's phone? how did that go?"

"it was a girl, was alright," i mumbled stoically.

"you didn't made friends with her?" i nodded. i was already screaming inside. "okay? ya weird. " chaeyoung expressed, confusion written all over her face.

"she was intimidating,"

"she's pretty?"

'the most beautiful girl, chaeng.'

"she's nice," i said instead.

never trust chaeyoung with your crushes. i learned my lesson when we were nine. she spent her vacation with her family back in thailand, the second time we spent months together. you see, at that time, i think i was already curving a bit– talking about my sexuality. i found girls extra beautiful and boys extra bland, and stars were always everywhere whenever i spot good-looking girls. they were extra attractive, and i was getting more curvy.

i told about this to chaeyoung one day, and she was so happy for me. she told me boys were ugly and bad and we were so happy we feel the same things towards them. we talked trash about them and it was full of fun. (did chaeyoung literally lowkey confessed she was gay too?)

anyways, i got a haircut two days later, and told chaeyoung about my girl crush. she was laughing and giggling at my haircut, and i told her i followed justin bieber's cut. it was because i had a huge crush on a girl, and she loves justin bieber so much so i thought, what if i followed his footsteps? would she love me too?

a week later we were invited to a party and so i tagged chae along, introduced her to my crush then she confessed for me. without my consent!

so i never trusted chaeyoung again, my girl crush never talked to me again and regretted my haircut.

"anyways my treat, let's go!"

"pokpak, are you sure you're fine on your own?" chaeyoung said in concern as she took her things from the locker.

"yes i'm sure chaeyoung-ah. i don't want to disturb you or anything." i said.

a week had passed by since school have started. i've been having a good time, being surrounded by friendly classmates was a good start. although speaking korean was a little difficult, i managed to learn. i'm also accepted and treated nicely even if i have a broken accent. well, it turns out that, being a foreigner is not that bad at all.

"and please, stop calling me pokpak, y'know it annoys me." i added.

chaeyoung smirked. "see you later, pokpak. " she bid her goodbye while chuckling.

"see you too, chipmunk!" i shouted back.

she was thinking about the girl again. every time she enters her mind, her energy goes high and she's very enthusiastic. she's too good to be true.

is it what they called love at first sight? lisa doesn't believe in those things. but how can you explain what she feels? or maybe it was just extreme adoration that she feels.

all she want to do is go back in time and ask the girls' name. maybe if she knew, she might be already getting to know her.

lisa is just sitting in the corner of the room, her eyes fixated on the test paper, her body sitting while her mind was above the clouds daydreaming about the mysterious, pretty girl.

she waited for a little while, for her classmates to finish the test. she didn't get bored. the girl in her mind is entertaining her thoughts.

after a couple of minutes, the bell rang and she was dismissed. she quickly fixed her things and hurried off to the canteen.

the sound of chattering noises, and the sounds of the utensils clanking greeter her. lisa immediately looked for chaeyoung.

she gestured a smile when she spotted a long hand waving at her then waved back. her lunch was already on the table and she quickly opened then drank the juice box.

"so how was today?" chaeyoung started.

"the usual," lisa simply says.

"nothing interesting?"

"not at all," she says blankly.

they started to eat their foods, both in their own worlds. chaeyoung munched her food cutely while lisa sipped on her juice.

"when are you going to your dorm?" chaeyoung asked. "today," lisa replied then stretched her arms upwards.

"do you know who you'll stay with?" chaeyoung asked. lisa wasn't that interested. she's lisa. meeting a total stranger for the first time, she can make them friends a minute later. she shook her head.

chaeyoung doesn't need a dorm, in fact, she lives in a mansion with her sister alice while her parents are in australia working.

"don't you want to stay with me instead?" she asked, pouting a little.

lisa cringed. "stop doing the aegyo rośe, you don't look cute." she teased.

"says the one who keeps on telling me i'm cute while pinching my cheeks." she huffed.

"i just don't want to disturb you. i don't want to be your responsibility 'cause i can take care of my own. i'm big now see."

"who acts so childish, eh?"

she laughed and nodded her head approvingly. it's true. lisa is so loud and childish. that is her charisma. everyone gets close to her because of her friendly and welcoming attitude, never making you feel bad. she's optimistic and cheers you up whenever you feel down.

they went home immediately to chaeyoung's house.

"hi alice-unnie!" lisa greeted, smiling. her sister greeted back while chaeyoung ignored her.

"the disrespect, roseanne park, " alice huffed with raised brows. chaeyoung rolled her eyes.

"i think they had a fight," lisa muttered to herself.

"i'll tell you what you've done chaeyoung. they wouldn't be so happy knowing about it don't you think?"

chaeyoung tensed up.

alice won.

"hi unnie! how was your day? wanna hang out?" alice grinned smugly.

the thing that scares roseanne the most rośe is her parents. just a sermon will make her emotional. she doesn't want to see the disappointment on her parents' face. she just want them to be proud and bring happiness.

"oh chaeyoung! i'm fine, there's no need to worry." she said sarcastically, still smirking.

"goodbye unnie!" lisa said as she waved her hand. alice waved back.

"ugh, she's so annoying," chaeyoung said as she rolled her eyes.

"sister culture. can't relate!"

after hours of packing, lisa finally finished. rośe drove the car, since lisa still doesn't have her license.

"are you sure you can carry all of those on your own?" rośe asked, and lisa nodded.

"it's alright. besides, there's a lift. just have to drag it then swalla!"

"okay then."

lisa clutched her luggage and waved goodbye to chaeyoung.

"hope you have a good night! love you pokpak!" she exclaimed loudly, causing the thai to get embarrassed.

"shut up chipmunk! but love you too!" then she puckered her lips at chaeng's direction and gave her a flying kiss. chaeyoung drove away.

lisa nervously fiddled with the keys in her hands. with her hands shaking, she opened the door.

she was greeted with the sight of the living room, creamy colors on the wall. then her face landed on a girl. this must be my roommate, she thought.

the girl's hair was tied in a messy bun, her face covered by a book she was reading.

lisa clears her throat, getting the other girl's attention to her. the girl raised her eyebrows and slowly placed down her book.

the pair of cat-like eyes , adorable nose, squishy cheeks and heart-shaped lips. she looks so familiar.

lisa's eyes widen.

the girl she met in the busy streets of seoul, the girl who kept on invading her thoughts, the one that provokes her curiosity behind those cat-like eyes, is her roommate?!
