《Alphas》Hell

Brooklyn sat on the edge of the bed, glaring at the door which her sorry excuse of a mate locked. All she could think about was how badly she wanted to wrap her hands around his neck and strangle him slowly and painfully. She felt no guilt for thinking such violent thoughts, she was pissed.
But aside from being mad, Brook was scared. No, she was terrified. She didn't know what was gonna happen to her. She didn't know when she would be able to go home, or if she'd be able to go home at all. One thing she did know was that she was going to do everything in her power to make the alphas life hell.
As if on cue with her thoughts, she heard the door unlock. She didn't have to guess who it was, the smell of her mate gave it away. He stepped into the room, taking her by surprise. Not because he was hot, Brook had seen hundreds of hot guys, why was he any different? But this was the first time she had seen Connor in person.
For some reason she expected him to have blonde hair, but instead it was brown and super curly. The longer hair seemed to make him even hotter. Everything she thought he would've looked like was basically the opposite. Even his eyes which instead of being blue, were brown.
"You look a lot younger than I expected." Brook blurted, her face remaining emotionless. When Brook got here she was determined not to speak to him, but at this point she didn't care. Now that she had been taken away from her family, he had nothing to threaten her with.
Brook rolled her eyes when Connor tried smiling at her. "Please don't act like we're best friends, because last time I checked you're a monster."
"Well I guess that makes you the monsters mate." Connor spoke, closing the door and walking closer to her.
"I'm not anyone's anything. You don't own me." Brook snapped, watching as Connor's brown eyes darkened. She smiled wickedly, realizing that his weak spot was him knowing that he wasn't in control of her. "Oh I'm sorry, did I upset you?" She asked innocently.
"I do own you. And you will do as I say from now on." Connor growled, his eyes growing darker by the second.
"Did I not make myself clear?" Brooklynn asked, standing up. She watched as his eyes raked her body before looking back at her. "I don't take orders from psychos, or their pack." Big mistake.
The alpha had her pinned against a wall in a matter of seconds, causing Brook to gasp in surprise. He had one hand pinning her own hands above her head, and he had one hand squeezing the life out of her hip. She could feel his claws piercing the skin on her hip, making her struggle against him. He just continued to tighten his grip as he looked at her with black eyes.

"This is my pack, I'm the alpha!" He screamed, "You do take orders from me, I'm your mate and I'm your alpha. You are here courtesy of me." By now, Brook could feel blood trailing down her leg.
"I am here because you kidnapped me!" She screamed, throwing him off of her. Connor looked up, stunned that she was strong enough to get him off of her. He started to walk back over to her, but stopped once he saw what he did to her hip.
Blood was steadily flowing out of the claw marks on her hip and down her leg. He felt his wolf whining that his mate was in pain, but when he looked back at Brooklynn's eyes, she seemed pissed and sad at the same time.
"Brooklynn your hip-"
"I'll take care of it myself," She spit. Connor had seen people look at him with hate and never once did he care. But the way that Brooklynn looked at him made him sick and uneasy.
Before he could do anything else, Brooklynn walked into the bathroom and locked the door. Now normally Connor would've lost his shit and knocked down the door for willfully disobeying him. But instead he just walked away, guilt weighing down on him like a bucket of bricks.
Brooklynn stared at her hip, watching as her healing was kicking in. She didn't know what to think. Different emotions were drowning her, and for some reason she couldn't stop any of them. If someone asked how she was feeling, she might not be able to use just one word.
She felt angry, and betrayed, and sad, and lost.
"Why did you mate me with him?" Brooklynn spoke, hoping that the Moon Goddess would answer back. "He's cruel. He won't ever care about me, and I don't think I'll ever care about him. So why did I get stuck with him?" Brooklynn could tell it was pointless to expect an answer. The Moon Goddess only spoke to her when some life changing event was about to happen.
Oh wait, this was a life changing event.
"Moon Goddess, please." Brook felt her eyes stinging. "How do I get through this?" For the first time in years, Brooklynn cried. She collapsed on the floor, and just cried. She had only been away from her pack for eight hours, and she already missed them horribly.
Tears seemed to come harder when she thought about her dad. He lost his mate and now he's losing his daughter. She couldn't bare to imagine the pain he was feeling, but she did anyways. She thought about Fiona who she had spent every waking day with since she was three. She knew there was a huge chance that she'd never see her again. This didn't help her stop crying, in fact it made it worse.

An idea popped into her head, it was a bad idea but it was still worth it. She had nothing left to lose. She heard Connor leave, but she didn't hear him lock the door. Maybe she could escape if she just ran and didn't look back. She knew she had to stay in human form, but since it was getting dark they might not see her.
She picked herself up off of the bathroom floor and left the bathroom. She went over to the door and twisted it, smiling when the door opened. She walked through the house quickly, praying that she wouldn't run into anyone.
It seemed that Brooks prayers were answered when she made it out the front door without any issues. She wasted no time and took off running. She ran as fast as her legs could take her, running faster when she heard howls echoing through the forest.
She knew that her cover was blown, she figured that one of the three million spies in this pack had seen her. But still she didn't stop running, her wolf aiding her in her run. For once, her and her wolf both wanted to leave this place. After Connor cut her, it seemed to piss her wolf off too.
Brook's wolf kept begging her to be let out so they could go faster, but Brooklynn ignored her. "We're almost there." She said to herself and her wolf, knowing that there was only about a mile to go until the territory ended.
They were so close that Brooklynn could taste her freedom, She was practically jumping for joy. But luck wasn't on her side today.
In a matter of seconds a person slammed into Brook's side, sending her flying into a tree. Brooklynn became dazed when her head hit the tree, but she could tell that it was Connor and boy was he furious.
Brook was hoisted up by her shoulders and pinned against the tree. She could faintly hear Connor shouting at her, but it felt like her mind was somewhere else. But when Brook's ears finally stopped ringing, she didn't like what she was hearing.
"You're a fucking bitch. I brought you here instead of killing your mother fucking pack." He yelled at her, causing Brooklynn to immediately forget about her head which felt like it was going to explode.
"Did you just call me a bitch?" Brooklyn asked, her voice quiet and her eyes refusing to meet Connor's. Her wolf was itching to be released, and Brook was seconds from doing it.
"Fuck yeah I did." Connor smirked, his wolf feeling a sense of power at Brooklynn's quiet behavior. Usually when people were quiet around him, it meant that they had become afraid of just given up and backed down.
Obviously, he didn't know Brooklynn.
Connor's prideful demeanor dropped as soon as a fist collided with his face, sending him back onto his ass. A loud growl erupted from his mouth, as he prepared for his wolf to take over. Nobody disrespects me, not even my own mate, He thought to himself. But when he looked up, he realized Brooklynn was already in wolf form, her bold green eyes focused on him ready to pounce.
"You asked for it." Connor snapped, shifting into his huge wolf. He was determined to teach Brook a lesson.
His wolf for once, was hesitant on attacking the golden wolf that stood in front of him. He didn't actually want to injure Brook, but Connor himself did. It was only fair since she punched him, right?
After a minute of staring each other down, Connor charged at Brook first. Brooklynn hid her smile as she stepped to the side, landing a painful bite to his shoulder. His wolf yelped in pain, spinning around quickly and swiping his paw across her face.
Brook snarled painfully as blood started to drip into her eyes. Fucker. Brook yelled at him through the mate link before charging at him. When she hit him, they both went tumbling in a heap of fur.
They both bit and scratched each other wherever they possibly could. Brook wasn't weak, but she was definitely taking the brunt of the fight. Brook didn't go into this fight expecting to win, the alpha was huge compared to her already large wolf. She just wanted to prove that Connor didn't own her.
But the fight was short lived, maybe only lasting about a minute.
Enough! She heard Connor yelling at her, making her growl in anger. Connor's wolf snarled back at her, pissed at his rebellious mate. He thought having Brooklynn Bradley as a mate would be incredible, but so far he didn't feel like they were gonna ever get along.
Glancing at Brooklynn who's silky gold coat was now covered in blood and scratches, he felt sick. He did this to his mate. And though he didn't like how much she fought back, he understood why she did it.
He wanted her to love him, he wanted to be there for her. But he didn't know how to do either of those.
He didn't know how to love.
