《My Hero Is A Gangleader》Chapter 10

I know it's definetly a guy because he has big hand covering my whole mouth. I have never seen a lady's hand as big as the one covering my mouth and rough. I just can't stop shaking in fear.
"Hey it's me. Calm down." I heard his deep familiar voice. The familiar voice of Chase. I felt a bit relieved. "Promise me you won't scream when I let go of my hand. Okay?" I slowly nodded. So he let's go.
I started searching for the switch on button. Once I found it I turn the light on. I looked around and found out we in the room were the cleaners put the brooms and mops, etc. Yep, the janitors. I turned back to Chase giving him a questioning look."Why did you bring me here?"
"I....I just..." Is he stuttering? "...I just wanted to say sorry for what I said to you earlier in the cafeteria. I didn't mean to shout at you." he said guilty written all over his face.
I can't believe the all mighty Chase said sorry to me and also feels guilty? This is unbelievably. I should probably just forgive him because he's the first person to ever say sorry to me when he hurt me obviously after Michelle.
I was just about to say it's okay when he cuts me off.
"What happened to your neck?" he said pointing at one of the bruises that Kiara's minions did to me. I can't tell him what happened or else I am calling for more troubles from Kiara if he approaches her.
"Why weren't you at class?" I asked quickly changing the topic.
"I said what happened to your neck? Why is it bruised?" he growls clenching his fist. Why is he overreacting? Does he cares?

"Oh, I don't remember. I just waked up this morning and there it was." I said chuckling nervously.
Another lie Ashley, another lie. My second time lying to Chase Martins.
"Are you sure you're okay?" He asks raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, hundred percent sure" I gave him a fake smile. He keeps silence as he just stares at me. Something tells me, he doesn't believe me. But I'm happy he didn't ask further questions about it.
"Okay and so you accept my forgiveness?" He asked.
"Yeah sure, can I go now?" I asked. I'm really in a hurry now. You never know what's waiting for me at home - in hell.
"Yeah but I'll drop you off." He said.
My eyes widen.
"No!" I said almost too quick. He gave me a confused look. " I can walk. I actually feel like walking. Thanks though." I said before opening the door and ran out of the janitors and the school.
I don't want to get beaten again just for being dropped by a guy. He will just call me slut again. No one likes being called a slut, even a slut doesn't like being called slut.
I checked the time and found out I'm five minutes late from school already. I let out a tired sigh. I started running hoping he wasn't home yet. I finally got the view of the house. I fasten my run to the porch. I stood there to regain my breath.
I took out my keys and unlocked it. I slowly and quietly stepped inside the house. I felt relief rush through me as I heard his loud snores coming from the sitting room.
I went there and found uncle Benson sleeping peacefully on the couch, while holding an empty beer bottle. I rolled my eyes. I went there and took the bottle slowly out of his hand. I went to the dustbin in the kitchen and throw his bottles inside.

Then went straight to my room. I was so tired so I just jumped on my bed and drift off to sleep.

I woke up by the sound of my alarm. I stopped it and took slow steps to the bathroom.
About thirty minutes later I was done doing my job in the toilet and also dressing up, not forgetting to add my sweater on top. I want downstairs, straight to the kitchen and took an apple. I went to the front door, opened it and went out, closing the door. Not caring wether Benson is alive or not.
I turned around and bump into a hard chest. I step back and rubbed my nose. I looked up only to see Chase. He looked a mess, but still hot, what's wrong with my mind? I wanted to chuckle at myself. I lightly shook my head and looked back at him. He has a bleeding nose and a small cut on his left cheek. I gasp, not expecting this look at all.
"Can you explain?" I said looking at him in shock.
"Can I get in?" he said point to my door. Completely ignoring my question. Wow.
What is he even doing here?
