For starters, anything spiritual is not allowed as a prefix. These include:

-Moon*

-Spirit

-Star

*The Erins admitted Moonflower's name was a mistake

Also, don't name the cat after something it wouldn't know, like a human object or plant or animal that doesn't exist in its territory. For example:

-Alligatorclaw

-Shoefoot

-Bearface

-Cartail

Ew, right?

Clan prefixes are also off-limits:

-River

-Wind

-Sky

-Thunder

-Shadow

Those are obviously for the canon series. If you have a clan called "SandClan", "Sand" is not allowed.

Some other no-no prefixes are:

-Cow

-Sheep

-Horse

-Dog

-Dung

-Twoleg

-Pig

-Cat

-Numbers

-There are more, believe me

Now for suffixes.

You can really go crazy with these, just stick to these rules:

-No animals ('cause "Fattoad" is weird)

-They have to know what it is

-"Moon" and "spirit" are allowed

-You can only use "star" for leaders

For names in general, they have to make sense. Sort of. Mostly. Here are some no-no names:

Also, if you aren't using canon Clans and making your own in your own area, feel free to use plants and animals native to your own area as prefixes.

There are TONS of suffixes, so you're on your own. I'll still list some, though, for examples. Almost all of those prefixes can be used for suffixes. Almost.

Keep in mind, too, kittens are realistically born with blue eyes so you can't see their eye color for awhile.
