- Has to train to be a warrior or medicine cat with their assigned mentor

- Has to carry out apprentice duties, such as cleaning out bedding and checking the elders for fleas and ticks

- Is expected to help with hunting and patrolling with their mentor (if they are training to be a warrior and not a medicine cat), but still aren't entirely responsible for feeding their clan yet

- No longer in training

- Generally don't have to do any of the apprentice duties, unless there are no apprentices in the clan. The youngest warriors take over until there are apprentices again

- Is expected to hunt for the clan, go on patrols, and go into battle if necessary

- Organizes border patrols and hunting patrols

- Is still expected to hunt, patrol and go into battle

- Communicate with their leader regarding clan issues, and help come up with solutions

- Is responsible for making decisions in their clan's best interest

- Appoints new apprentices, warriors, and medicine cats, as well as choosing names

- Speaks for their clan at gatherings

- Must lead their clan into battle of there is no other choice

- Occasionally goes on patrols and hunts

- Heals sick and injured cats in their clan

- Looks after pregnant and nursing queens

- Collects herbs to help heal

- Communicates with StarClan regarding clan issues, prophecies, etc.

- Have fulfilled their duties in the clan, and are no longer expected to patrol or hunt

- Are one of the first groups of cats to be fed

- Usually likes to tell stories about the clan's past to kits and apprentices

- Nurses their kits

- May start to teach their kits about things such as the warrior code or hunting

- Stays in the nursery while they have kits until they become apprentices
