"Where are they headed?" I asked, trying to conceal my anger.

"They went to Barbados, sir."

"Where at in Barbados?" I asked.

"The Crane Resort, sir."

I took a deep breath as my leg began to bounce fast. "Y'all let that nigga take my bitch?"

"N-no. They haven't left yet, sir. Their flight leaves at 1:30." He stuttered.

I crack my knuckles, standing up slowly. I walked over to the clock that was posted on the wall. I took it off the wall and looked at it.

"Isaiah, what time do you think it is?"

"I-I would g-guess 10 o'clock, sir. That's t-the time I got the information on them."

"It's already 1:30, Isaiah." I turned around to face him, before throwing the clock at his face. "Look at me!"

"Shit!" He yelled, lifting his head up.

"I told you to make sure she doesn't board that damn plane and look what happened. She boarded that fucking plane. This is why I gotta do dirt myself."

He held his head back, pinching his nose so the blood doesn't drip on his clothes and my floor.

"I'm sorry, man. I won't let it happen no more. I promise."

"I know you won't. Leave before I off yo retarded ass." I said, balling my fist up.

He hurried out the room with a scared look on his face. I sat down in my chair, feeling pissed off.

I inhaled then quickly exhaled. Everyone around me was failing at simple tasks that I appointed them.

First, my mother just couldn't set up a stupid fucking brunch with Sarah's naive ass and that should've been the easiest task to do.

Isaiah couldn't just keep track of time. Now it's up to me to get her.

I didn't wanna get my hands dirty too much, but hell people already know what kind of man I am.

I get what I want and if I can't have what I want. No one can and I'll make sure of it.

I pressed that buzzer, calling in Angel.

"Yes, daddy?"

"Wanna go to Barbados?"

She smirked. "Of course."

"Pack a bag, now. We need to hurry up and leave."

"What's in Barbados, baby?"

"Relaxation."

"And Sarah?"

"Maybe." I said, rubbing my chin.

She nodded, smirking. "When are you gonna let me taste her like you let me do your ex wife?"

I got out my chair, grabbing her by the throat. "Don't bring her up. Do you understand?"

I began to choke her, watching her lips curl up into a big smile. I let her go, sighing.

I forgot what I turned this crazy bitch into.

"Did you forget who I was, baby? I love getting choked and slapped. Hell, I'd love getting stabbed if it was you doing it to me." She said, licking her lips.

I backed away slowly, eyeing her. I remember how naive and scared she use to be when we met. She did everything I said, no hesitation and no back talk.

As scary as she was, she made sure I was pleased with her.

"So will you let me taste her? You told me she taste pretty good."

"No."

"Can I at least do what I want to her? Like have a tea party?" She giggled.

I knew what she meant when she said do what she wants. Angel is what her name is. This broad isn't at all innocent or an angel.

"No."

"But why not, daddy?" She said, grabbing my arm.

"Because the last time I let you do whatever you wanted to do with someone, you fucked around and killed them." I hissed in her ear.

She smirked, caressing my neck. "It was a mistake. I promise I'll be gentle."

"Angel," I sighed. "I said n–"

"Hold on, baby." She took her ringing phone out of her pocket and quickly answered it. "Hi, baby sis."

I ignored the ridiculous phone call with her and her retarded ass sister and sat down in my chair.

Barbados is going to be hard to get her, you know?

"Man, I know." I mumbled, running my hands down my face.

You're stressed out... Why?

"Because I cant catch this bitch. As shook as she is, I cannot get her."

He must've taught her the game. You know how protective he is of her. This shouldn't come as a shock to you.

"I know. I'm just fucking frustrated." I growled, kicking the desk over.

Angel quickly looked over at me. "Parker, I'm gone call you back later."

She rushed over to me and grabbed my face. She stared at me in my eyes before her left eye twitched.

She cleared her throat, smiling. "Let's go to Barbados, honey."

I nodded and we quickly left.

"Just stay in your room and I'll stay in mine." I said, leaning my head against the door.

"Why you pushin me away?" He asked, folding his arms across his chest.

"I'm not."

"But you are. We both decided ta come hea ta betta this relationship. I rode hea separately from y'all and I was cool. Then I had ta book a separate flight, even though I wanted ta ride with cha'll, I still ain' fuss. Na, I gotta room by maself and keep ma distance from y'all? How that sound?"

I sighed, "At least for tonight. I just need to get my mind together."

"Man, whateva." He waved me off. "Be ready at 3."

He walked off before I could say anything else. I watched him as he slammed his room door and I frowned.

I bit my bottom lip, scratching my arm.

I honestly didn't feel like I was pushing him away. And even if I was, this space is very needed.

Even though I already know August is my husband, we still not married. Me forgetting what kind of woman I'm trying to be and forgetting who my God is and sinning, was just a wake up call for me to put some type of separation between August and I.

After the first time we did whatever we did, I could feel myself losing sight of who I was trying to be.

I never intended to get that vulnerable with August just yet and I understand that emotions were high and that I acted off those emotions, but I knew I just didn't want us to go that far yet.

Even though we did go far enough, we still went too far.

I bit my lip and entered into my hotel room.

"Mom, did you see the water over there?" Christian asked, pointing outside the the beautiful beach.

"I seen it. It's gorgeous isn't it?" I smiled st him, tickling his sides.

"Yes," He screamed, laughing.

"Come on. August is taking us there in a couple hours. Wanna go swimming?"

"Yes!" He threw his hands up.

"Well, lets go freshen up and get ready."

He smiled and ran off to the our room to find his swim trunks.

After a few hours, it was not going on 4:30 and I can't lie and say I wasn't a little annoyed with August. He knows I hate when he's late like this.

"When we leaving, ma?"

"Ma? What happened to mommy?" I laughed.

"I heard AugDog call you ma and I wanted to say it too." He smiled.

I roll my eyes, smiling. "You learn so much from him, huh?"

He nodded. "I know how to say good morning like him. We say good morning and he say good mawnin." He giggled.

I smiled, kissing his cheeks. "Let's go get AugDog before we jump him."

I grabbed my beach tote with all my things inside and we made our way to August's room.

I knocked on the door, throwing my hair behind my shoulder.

The door opened and there August stood in his swim trunks.

"What took you so long?" I asked.

He shrugged, closing the door behind him.

"August?"

"Wazzam, little man?" He lifted him off the ground and threw him in the air.

Christian laughed, hugging him. "Wazzam AugDog."

"Ready ta swim?"August asked and Christian nodded. "Aight, you gon' save me then? AugDog can't swim."

"You can't swim?" Christian laughed again.

"August?" I tried to keep up with them, but it was like August was trying to get away from me.

"Man, nah. I'm scurred."

"Scurred." Christian repeated.

"August," I grabbed his shoulder, making him look at me.

"What?"

"Put him down, first of all and two, we need to talk."

He nodded and put Christian down in his feet. "Aye, lil man walk ahead of us real quick. But stay close, aight?"

Christian could hear the sternness in August's voice so he nodded and did exactly what August said.

"Whatchu want?" He said as we entered the pool area, which was beautiful by the way.

"Why are you ignoring me?"

"You clearly just told me you needed space. Fuck ima crowd you fa?" He said with so much attitude in his voice.

"August, you can calm down and stop cussing at me. I ask you a simple question."

"A dumb ass question. Sarah, what do you want?" He said, breathing out through his nose.

I could tell from his demeanor that he didn't want to be around me.

"August, I'm sorry for having us separated like this, but I really just need time to gather myself."

"Why? You just said fuck August and came up with the conclusion ta just x me out of everything."

"Because after we did what we did, I just feel like I'm losing myself. I wanted to wait until marriage for us to–"

"Christian getcho ass away from the water!" August yelled.

I looked over and saw Christian near the deep end of the pool.

"Get over here now!" I screamed.

I didn't mean to scream, but seeing him over there knowing good he wasn't supposed to be alarmed me. I'm not the best swimmer, so if he would've fell in the water, I wouldn't know what to do.

He walked over to us with his head down. He knows he's in trouble. Big trouble with August too.

"Fuck you doing by the deep end?" August said. "I said stay nearby and whea were you?"

"Over there." He mumbled.

"You need ta lift ya head and talk ta me. I'm not ya mama."

I side eyed him.

He could've kept that last comment to his self. "You ain't gotta be me." I muttered to myself.

"I was over there." He lifted his head, pointing to where he was.

"Just for that, go sit down until ya mama and I done talkin."

Christian nodded and sat down on the beach chair.

"Thank you. Anyways, I wanted to wait until marriage for us to do anything and I just feel like I backsliding because of that. I just need space to get me back on track."

"And that undastandable, but you completely blew me off and pushed me away. If I overstepped ma boundaries, I apologize, ma. I didn't mean fa you ta feel like this."

"I accept and I apologize for blowing you off. That was never my intentions. I just wanted some space so we wouldn't do that again."

"Aight. No more until marriage." He sighed.

I know he's probably hurt by me saying that, but I just can't risk my relationship with Jesus just for this.

"No more." I breathed, biting my lip.

He nodded, and opened his arms. "Can I get a hug and some kisses?"

I smiled, wrapping my arms around his torso. "I miss you holding me like this."

"Who fault is that?" He said kissing the top of my head.

"Mine." I mumbled in his chest.

"Mhm."

I pulled back and kissed his cheek.

"Ahhh, back ta square one."

"Yep. No more kisses on the lips until I see a ring on my beautiful, size seven finger." I winked at him.

"Gotchu, baybeh."

"Christian." I called for him.

"Yes?"

"You learned your lesson?"

"Yes, mommy."

"Aight then. Let's go swim. Y'all can catch me in four feet." August said, making me shake my head.
