"Hey, baby." Mother said, walking into my office.

"Hey ma." I mumbled.

"Why you look so sad?" She asked, coming over to give me a hug and a kiss.

I accepted the gesture and gave her a kiss on the cheek back. "Nothing, just thinking."

"About?" She sat down in the chair across from me.

"Sarah."

Even saying her fuckin name made me want to snap. I can't stand that dumb bitch, yet I couldn't live without her. I needed her in my life.

"Peter, after what her and that skinny little anger filled boy done did to you, you still want her? Just like yo damn father. Don't know how to let go of these toxic ass females." She scolds, rolling her eyes.

"It's something about her, mother. Though she's everything I hate, I love everything about her."

"You sound so contradicting. Are you taking your medication?"

I clenched my jaw, nodding. "Yes, I am."

"Which one, because ain't no damn way you taking your medication and still acting like you ain't got no damn sense. Now, I'm going to ask you again and if you sit here and lie in my face, I got you." She threatened, staring hard at me.

I sighed, shaking my head. "No, I haven't. I haven't gotten around to doing it consistently. I'll take it one day then the next days, I'm not."

"I'm about to get up and beat yo ass. Why not?!" She yelled.

"Because Sarah! Without her, I can't think straight, I can't act straight, or live straight. When I had her in my life, I was consistent with it, taking it everyday. Now, it's choppy." I shrugged.

"Let me call her and arrange this brunch. When you get her, take your fucking medication." She threw her two shoes at me, making one hit me in the face.

I mugged her, clenching my jaw. "Stop, Mother. My face is already bruised up from fighting her little boy toy. I don't need anymore damage done to me."

"You knew what he was capable of when you decided to mess with him. You need to ask yourself if Sarah is really worth all of this trouble and damage to you and your body." She said, making me nod.

Of course she worth it.

As my mother left, I couldn't help but think about what she said. I knew what August was capable of and yet I toyed with him. I knew and yet, I provoked him.

Provoke him more. Don't you want Sarah to yourself?

"Yes, I do. But, how can I get her alone. I'm sure if mother sets this brunch together, he's going to be there." I mumbled, trying to piece everything together.

Hopefully, Mother gets a hold of Sarah, because if they can get together and hang out in an secluded area, it can be easy for you to get here. But, August.

"How can I get rid of him? Now that he knows what I want and what I'm after, he's going to be more aware of their surroundings and the people he allows her to be around."

Notice how he seem to go crazy when your around her?

"Yes." I mumbled, leaning forward in my chair.

Don't have mother take Sarah to a secluded area. Have them go to a coffee shop or just somewhere in the open.

"Why?" I mumbled, rubbing my hands together.

Because nine chances out of ten, August will be present somewhere. You can have mother tell Sarah you're her son and obviously that weak bitch will panic and call for August. August will yell at Mother and this is where you come in.

"That's perfect. Then August will try to fight again and one of my "bystanders" can call the police. August goes to jail then boom! Sarah's mine." I smiled.

If this doesn't work then I don't know what will.

"Hi, Ms. Jackie," I said, answering the phone. "How you doing?"

"Whew, chile, I'm doing fine. I wanted to call to check up on you. The last time we sorta saw each other, it was a mess and I was really worried."

"Oh, I'm fine. I–"

"Are you really fine? I watched you enter the building cautiously then exit out holding your stomach area. Are you okay? And don't lie to me, Sarah."

There goes the mother in her. I just knew it was going to show up. I sighed. "I'm fine, Jackie. I got into a car accident weeks prior to showing up at that place. I didn't know any of that crap would happened. And I'm still healing."

"I'm shaking my head right now, Sarah. I'm so disappointed in you."

I felt my heart drop as I began to pout.

"What's wrong?" August mouthed and I just shake my head.

"I know this isn't you and you know that isn't you. What happened to my sweet, innocent Sarah? You don't even call me like you use to. We use to talk almost everyday and you were like a daughter to me."

"I know and I'm so sorry, Jackie, I've been dealing with a lot, but I'll make it up to you."

"Okay. How about we go out for brunch tomorrow since I don't have to go into work. You can tell me all about what's been going on and about that little boyfriend of yours."

I blushed, throwing my head back. "Of course. Is 1 o'clock okay? I have to get Christian from my brother's house at 12:30."

"A brother? You have a brother? Since when? Chile, you are so right so much has happened because I didn't know you had a brother."

"I didn't either until I went back to New Orleans." I chuckled. "That reminds me, I have to call him to make sure he isn't over feeding Christian with s bunch of junk food."

"My little Paw Patrol buddy, how's that baby doing? See you tomorrow, Sarah."

"He's fine. He's getting bigger and bigger each day. He's so energetic now, more than he's ever been, honestly."

"That's amazing. I gotta get going now. I need some food in my system. Bye now."

"Okay, bye Ms. Jackie." I hung up and FaceTimed Simon.

"Sarah." August said, snatching my phone out of my hand. "You just got done talkin ta them. They not tryna hea' ya mouth again."

He hung up and tossed the phone on the couch across from us.

"Stop being rude." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Fuck up and watch this movie with me." He said, laying his head on my chest.

I relaxed as he slid his left hand into my shirt. I shook my head as his hand cupped my boob.

"Move." I said.

"I ain' even do nothin." He laughed.

"Fine, but as soon as you start getting too touchy-feely, you're moving."

"Aight. So, who was onna phone?"

"Ms. Jackie. The lady from my old job."

"Yeah? What cha'll talk about?" He squeezed my boob, snuggling up closer to me.

"You know, usual girl things. She wants to meet up for brunch tomorrow as a make up for me not calling her and check on her like I use to." I said, not wanting to bring up the part where she said she was disappointed in me.

He hummed, licking his lips. "You think you can trust that? It's been months since y'all hung out, she might be on some fucked up ass energy. She could've called you or checked up on you. Remember baybeh, phones work both ways."

"I know, but I know Ms. Jackie, she wouldn't dare try anything with me. I'm like a daughter to her."

"Speaking of daughtas, when you gone have mine?"

I blushed, hiding my smile in my arm. "When you put a ring on this finger. Until then no more kids are popping out of my vagina."

"Psst. You want yo ring tanight? I need me a baybeh girl." He said, making me giggle.

"August, hush." I shook my head, rubbing his head. "Your hair is getting so long. I love it."

"I can tell by the way you be pullin on it." He look up at me smirking.

I quickly looked away from him, pushing him off me. "Get off me, Anthony."

I heard him laugh before deciding to go in the room so I can get away from his nasty self.
