"I'm fine, August." I said, watching him adjust my foot pillow.
"I'm jus makin sho."
"Well, I'm telling you August Anthony Alsina Jr. I am fine, okay? I'm fine." I said, smiling a little.
He shook his head, licking his lips. "I don't know how. You got a concussion, bruised ribs, and stitches all ova yo fuckin face."
"I know, but I'm still alive, August. That's all that matters." I said.
He rolled his eyes, "Aight, cool, but you could've died because that nigga don't–,"
"AUGUST," I cut him off, groaning out in pain due to the pressure I was feeling in my side. I rubbed my side and sighed. "I'm fine. I am fine. I know next time to always bring you with me or someone else for that matter. Please calm down and stop. I'm fine."
He stared at me hard, before sighing. "Aight. Ima calm down, but that don't mean I'm lettin this shit go. He gotta catch this fade. I'm on his shit, na."
"August."
"Nah. Don't try ta be the peacemaka. If and when we see that bitch, I'm beatin his ass. Understood?"
I knew from the look in this eyes, he was one hundred percent serious. Not trying to argue with him, I simply nod, looking away.
"Yes."
"Stop makin that face."
I sighed. "August, I'm fine. This is just adding fuel to the fire. I don't want you to go out and get into trouble on my behalf. You have a career and an image to uphold. I'm sure the paparazzi would love to get a story on you, especially since you're just now coming out as an new R and B singer. Don't, please. I'm fine."
He stared at me, shaking his head. "Aight. If you good, I'm good."
"Thank you. Now, gimme a kiss."
He smirked, softly kissing my waiting lips. I grabbed the back of head, lightly pulling on his little curls. I moaned into the kiss, causing him to freeze up.
"We gotta stop befo I do something I'll regret." He said, shaking his head.
"Mmm, is that right?" I smiled.
"Don't steal ma shit. Fuckin thief."
I know I look crazy for one, being happy and two, not letting August get a hold on Peter, Ray, and the other guy that was there, but I really don't want August out there like that. I'm fine, I really am.
And the reason I'm just so happy and smiley today is because August and my baby boy. You ever just heard someone praying so hard for you that it just uplifts your spirit? Well that is what happened.

I heard August and Christian praying literally so hard for me today while I was sleeping and it just made me so happy. And when I woke up, we joined hands and we prayed again.
I'm literally filled with love and joy.
"August, get out." I joked.
"Nah, baybeh. Ima lay right hea witchu." He got on the bed, slowly though, making sure he didn't hurt me. "Fuck man, I wanna lay down on ya titty and I can't do that."
I covered my mouth, laughing so loud into my hand. "Stop, please stop."
"I'm serious. You know I always lay ma head on ya titty. Can't do shit, na."
I winced, rubbing softly in my ribs. "August, get out. You say the most ridiculous things and you know it hurts when I laugh."
"Then don't laugh. Fuck you laughin bout anyway? I'm ova hea tellin you what's on ma mind and shit and you ova thea laughin like it's funny."
"I'm sorry." I giggled.
"Betta be."
"MOMMY, ARE YOU UP?" I heard Christian yelled from the other side of the hallway.
"Yes, baby."
He walked in the room with many things in his arms, like my ice pack, my medicine bag, and a heating pad.
"Whatchu doin man?" August said, nodding his head, smiling.
"You said at one, three zero, I gotta grab my mommy's ice and the medicine and the this thing." Christian said, making me smile.
"Aww, thank you baby. I really appreciate you doing this." I said, grabbing the side of the bed to sit up a little.
August say what I was trying to do and helped me up. "Be careful, lady."
"Okay," I said. "Gimme a hug, baby."
He smiled and dropped all my things on the floor, running toward me. I wrapped my arms around his tiny body as he wrapped his arms around my neck.
"I love you." I said, kissing his cheek.
"I love you too." He blushed.
He quickly picked up my things that he dropped and handed them to Aug.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"Goin on five." August answered. "Sleepy?"
"Very. I feel like the morning was so rough for me that now I'm just exhausted." I stated.
"The mawnin was rough fa everybody. From you throwin a hissy fit and Christian cryin because of you."
"August, I said I'm sorry. I just had a real bad migraine and I think it affected my behavior." I said, pouting my lips.

"I know and I tol you ta take that medicine the doctor gave you and whatchu do? Ain take shit."
"I forgot."
"I know. So na that I'm hea, take the medicine and take yo ass ta bed." He said, sliding out of the bed.
"Don't be rude." I mumbled, grabbing the pill from him. "Water, please."
He handed me the glass of water, watching me intensively while I drank from the glass. Once I was done drinking majority of the water, I could still feel August watching.
"What?" I said, mugging him.
"I love yo hard headed ass." He smiled.
I roll my eyes, smiling back. "August," I whined. "Stop."
"Gimme kiss and I'a stop." He brung his face closer to my face, kissing my lips.
"You got your kiss now, move it. I'm tired." I said, feeling the drowsiness from the medication set in.
"Aight." He helped me lay down, being careful with my ribs.
As he began to walk out the door, I called him back.
"I love you too, August." I said, shutting my eyes.
"Aight, lady." He shut the lights off and walked out of the room completely.
As I left the room, I quickly pulled ma phone out and hit up ma niggas.
"Wazzam, nigga." Devin answered.
Devin and his brother Rell was the niggas I was rollin in Nola with. Sellin shit, robbin niggas, and just straight fuckin shit up.
"You got a word on that nigga?" I asked, makin sure Christian wasn't round.
"Nigga, dat nigga literally left the face of the fuckin earth. I had Rell and some of his boys follow all three of the niggas and once dat nigga turned the corner, this nigga turned into ant man, because they lost sight of dat nigga."
I sighed, shakin ma head. "Fuck. How the hell the lose a grown ass man?"
"Shit, ion know. I wasn't there, nigga. I was followin the otha nigga wit them lil bow wow ass braids."
Even though I wanted ta be pissed off cause they lose the main nigga I wanna throw these bitches with, I couldn't help but laugh.
"Fuck up, nigga," I laughed. "What's the information on him."
"Nigga, you might wanna take a seat." He said and I could feel the seriousness through the phone. "You know how bitches be when they got information on somebody. They be like, 'beech, I got tea.'."
I covered my mouth, laughing at this nigga. "Fuck sitting down, nigga what's up with it?"
"Aight, I warned you. His name is Raymond Brown, 26-27, born and raised in New Awlins, been in and outta jail since 15. He just got released from prison for attempted murder, sexual assault and some other shit. And um.. Yung, sit down."
"No, nigga." I fussed.
"Yung,"
I cut him off. He was bout ta make me choke his ass out through the phone. "Will you fuckin tell me, shit, nigga."
"Sit the fuck down, Yung."
I looked at the phone and began ta say some shit that'll hurt this nigga feelings, but I sat down. "Aight, I'm sittin."
"Aight," he breathed out. "Raymond Brown, 26-27, from nola, was convicted of sexual assault and attempted murder on Sarah Marshall."
I kept quiet. I knew she had been raped by some nigga from nola, but I didn't know he was that close ta ha.
"Say, was he the same nigga that she ran into at ha apartment?" I asked.
"Yeah. I got some niggas ta take the cameras outta ha apartment and it was him."
"Aye, ima call you back." I said, hangin up.
I took a deep breath before wiping my face with my hands.
As I'm walkin inna living room, I see some big ass hulk hogan nigga on Sarah. The way he was on ha wasn't lookin right.
"Fuck is you doin, nigga?" I rushed over ya him ready ta knock this nigga the fuck out.
"Wait!" He said.
I throw a punch, knockin his body off Sarah. I take ma attention off him and checked on Sarah. She was hysterical. She couldn't talk, all ha words came out all tagether.
"Baybeh, calm down okay." I whispered, picking ha up so I can take ha somewhere else.
I decided ya leave dat nigga hea. He got me fucked up messin with ma lady.
That nigga was on top of ma baybeh and all I did was punch his ass.
