After Sarah left da' restroom, I stayed in longer than intended. I leaned back against the wall thinkin' bout ha'. I unknowingly gravitated toward ha'. She was so captivatin' and beautiful. Da' way she spoke, you could tell, she was hurtin' from past events or maybe even present event. Fa' some reason, I wanted ta' protect ha' heart.

Or, maybe I jus' wanted ta' be dat nigga ta' fix it.

I was so lost in ma' thoughts dat I forgot I was still in da' women's restroom until I heard a high pitched scream.

I quickly snapped ma' head inna' direction of da' scream and quickly covered my eyes.

"Get out!" The woman yelled, hittin' me with her purse.

I ducked, hurriedly reaching for the door. "Ooh shit, damn, ma' bad lady!"

She continued ta' hit me with ha' heavy six hundred pound ass bag as I made ma' way out. I shut the door behind me as I breathe out.

"Dumb bitch." I mumbled, fixin' ma' clothes.

"You okay, Aug?" I looked and saw Peter starin' at me.

"Yeah, man." I said, shakin' off da' lil pain I was in.

"Did you find the studio I was talking about?" He asked.

I nodded, "Yeah, just waitin' fa' someone ta' help wit' da' sound board."

He nodded, "By the way, I'm not gon' ask about your whereabouts in the women's restroom." He smirked, as we walk into the studio.

I looked around for Sarah, but didn't find her.

"Alright," He turned on the sound board. "I know you're a one man band, so give me something."

I nodded and pulled out ma' phone, "Ight, nigga, so dis' da' first verse, "

"First thing first, I'm off, freaks, all the honeys

Dummies, Playboy bunnies, hoes gettin' money

That's the one they like cause they only get the pipe

And if they act right, they might get to spend the night

These girlies wanna be with me

These hoes tryna trap a G, but I ain't with it

Money out there, nigga tryna get it

A lot them bitches tell me I be slippin', I admit it

Had my share of every kind of girl

But lately, this ain't what you need, not me girl

Cause you know they gon' hate on you

And they really gon' hate me too cause I'm too young to settle down"

"Ight, head to the booth Aug. You got the chorus and shit down?" Peter asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, I got allat shit down. I talked ta' Chris a week ago about puttin' a verse or some shit on hea'."

"Ight, record your verse and the chorus and I'll hit Chris up after this. Aight?"

I nodded, puttin' on the headset. I gave him the thumbs up before I head the beat come on.

"Shit lit, I ain' even finna hold you up." I said, smilin'.

After a few hours of correction, singin' and rewritin' shit, I walked out da' booth, smilin' hard as a muthafucka'.

"Na, all I need is dat nigga Chris so he can put a verse on dis shit." I said, dabbin' Peter up.

"Have you recorded other song? We got 'Hip Hop' and 'Been Around The World' You got any others?" Peter asked.

"I got a couple written up at ma' hotel room', but some of 'em need ta' be edited, ya' heard me. I want at least fifteen songs on dis' album. You know, all of different beat and shit, but within da' some concept. Ma' life and how I'ca relate ta' others." I said.

"I got you, Aug. I need you to work hard on this. The label is giving us exactly one month for this album." I nodded as he talked, but was I payin' attention?

Ha, hell nah.

My mind began to drift ta' Sarah. I want ta' know what ha' past was like and who damaged ha' beautiful heart. What was she like as a teen? Who ha' parents? How they treat ha'?

What event happened that made ha' dis' strong women she is today? Was she always so strong? Do she love ha'self like she 'pose ta'?

"What are you thinking about, Aug?" Peter asked, noticin' ma plain face expression.

"Nothin', aye, I need ta' take a leak, I'a be back." I said befo' exitin' out da' studio room and jus' roamed the halls ta' find Sarah.

I see ha' sittin' down onna' flo' in an empty hall, starin' at ha' reflection in da' small ass hand mirror.

I walked closer ta' ha', sittin' down beside ha', She unknowingly leaned inta me, layin' ha' hand on top of mine, entwinin' our fingers together.

"You so fuckin' beautiful, do you know dat?" I asked.

"Yes," She whispered, lettin' her hair fall in front of her eyes.

"No ya' don't. Cause, if ya' did, you wouldn't be holdin' ya' head down. Pick ya' head up luh," I said, liftin' ha' head up, pushin' ha' hair behind ha' ears. "You so beautiful."

I leaned in, kissin' her soft cheek.

"Thank you, Mr. Alsina."

"It's Aug. Call me Aug. I'm yo' friend." I smiled.

I stare at ha' as da' small smile she wore turned big. She giggled, noddin' ha' head.

"Thank you, Aug."

"I know dis' a bit forward, but can a nigga take you and yo son out to get some food. It's not a date, it's jus' a 'get ta' know you' dinner."

"I need to think on it. I'm not a 'going out with anyone' type of girl." She sassed unintentionally.

I let it slide, jus' smilin' at ha'. "Take as much time as ya' need, ain' no rush. I jus' want ta' get ta' know you, ya heard me."

"I hear you," She said, gettin' off da' flo' and sittin' da' small mirror down.

"See ya' next time, Ms. Marshall. Have a good evenin' and night, baybeh."

I kissed ha' cheek once mo', befo' makin' ma' way out da empty hall.

She so enchantin'. There gotta be some way ta' get ha' ta' let ha' guard down and say yes ta' letting me take ha' and ha' son out ta' dinner. I really want ta' get ta' know ha'.

I want ta' know ha' story. What shaped ha' ta' be who she is na'? She strong as fuck and she don't even know it.

I walked back inna' studio, havin' the sudden urge to write down some shit. The tune flooded ma' mind, I could see the words, floatin' in ma' brain.

I needed ta' write dis down befo' I forget.

I hurried ta' the desk nearby, grabbin' a paper, writin' down what I saw in ma' head.

Though, I've know Sarah fa' about a month, I'm attracted ta' ha'. It's weird as hell how you can meet someone and they take ova' ya' heart. I feel like I know ha', like I witnessed ha' life befo' ma' own eyes. It's crazy as fuck how I gravitated ta' ha' so easily, and without much of a word, I wanted ta' stay connected ta' ha' beautiful ass. And I know I don't plan on separatin' ma'self from ha'.
