Kisame's heart was pounding like crazy. Even in a moment like this, he couldn't prevent his feelings from bursting out. Who could? Itachi was sleeping in his arms, snuggled up comfortably in a blanket and in his tight hug. Kisame was trying his best to not touch him in a wrong way. His whole body was itching to do things it wasn't supposed to do, especially when there was clearly a big problem torturing the sleeping raven. Kisame took a deep breath. He had to hold back, he definitely had.

A few minutes had passed. Kisame was distracting his mind from the dirty thoughts he unfortunately had. Looking away from the raven, he was trying to remember something which could possibly lead him to a logical explanation of what happened to Itachi. After a few maked up scenarious, he shook his head and decided to wait for him to wake up and tell everything, realising he was just concerning himself even more with these assumptions. Kisame's gaze landed on the raven again. He noticed something wasn't right. Itachi was breathing heavier, his body was shaking again. Kisame quickly placed his hand on the black haired boy's forehead. He was burning.

- Shit...

Kisame picked his light body up, moving him to the bedroom. He gently placed the sleeping boy on the old, small bed and put a wet towel on his forehead. Itachi was nearly panting. The two blankets on top of him couldn't stop his shaking. Kisame was freaking out for a second time. Itachi looked so weak and vulnerable, the two things he absolutely hated to be. The bigger boy was more than relieved that Itachi chose him for help, actually... for choosing help in general. He stayed above the raven for no one knows how long, constantly changing the wet towel on his forehead and making sure he doesn't get any worse.

After he managed to lower down the fever a little, he could relax for a bit. Kisame sat on the floor next to the bed and started looking for the remote. Maybe the TV could help ease his mind. He turned it on and started going through the channels. One of them was airing the news. He hated watching them and quickly moved to the next one, but he accidentally saw a word which made his heart go crazy again, but now in fear. He changed the channels back. The word was "Uchiha". He turned up the volume as much as he could hear, careful to not wake Itachi up.

- A double murder shook the town last night. Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha, the famous crime investigators, were brutally killed by their elder son, Itachi Uchiha. Their other son, Sasuke Uchiha, he testified, but went missing a couple of hours after that. The police is still looking for the killer and his brother.

Kisame's body was shaking. He looked at the sleeping raven next to him.

- No, I don't believe it!

His Itachi wasn't capable of killing his parents, he loved them too much. Why would he do this? A flash of Itachi, covered with his mother's blood went through Kisame's mind. He quickly shook it, keeing himself away from thinking that Itachi literally could have killed his parents. He got up and started walking around the room in mindless circles, processing the information. No, no matter what the raven did, he wouldn't give up on him, he will follow him even in the grave. At this point, Kisame didn't care if his boy did it or not. The most important think right now was to get him back on his legs. Kisame sat on the floor again and took Itachi's thin hand in his. It was still warm from the fever.

- I will love you, no matter what!

Itachi woke up and immediatelly clenched his eyebrows, feeling the sharp pain in his head. He let out a small groan and touched it where it was hit. He felt like his head was going to split in two, but he tried his best to ignore it. After getting used to the pain a little, he looked around. Kisame was sleeping, sitting on the floor, holding his hand. He couldn't imagine the amount of worries he probably had put Kisame through. Supporting himself with his free hand, he got up and removed the now dry towel from his forehead. The world around him was spinning. It was dead obvious that he shouldn't have gotten up, but he didn't have time to waste. He carefully pulled his hand from Kisame's hold and started walking to the door.

- Itachi...

A groggy voice froze him in one place. Kisame has woken up, now he couldn't leave. The big boy stood up and quickly got to the raven.

- You aren't supposed to get up still.

Kisame placed his hand on Itachi's shoulder and looked at him with pleading eyes.

- I have to go, Kisame.

- Where?

Itachi was silent. He didn't have time to explain the situation. He was grateful for Kisame's help, but now the only thing he cared about was to find his brorher and get him back. Kisame placed his hand on Itachi's forehead again, realising it was still hot.

- Don't go, Itachi...

Kisame was scared. He couldn't let him walk around in this condition, nor when there were cops looking for him, but Itachi was a stubborn boy. If he wanted to do something, he would do it despite of everything.

He had to keep him here no matter what.

- You could die out there...

- I'm not that weak.

- No, right now, you are!

Kisame raised his voice. Itachi didn't expect it.

- You are going to go out in this snow storm with a high fever and an injury. How long do you think you will last? Huh? You will just collapse in the middle of nowhere and no one will be there to save you, no one will be there to save Sasuke either!

- Sasuke? How do you know?!

Kisame didn't know what to say. He started looking around, hesitant if he wanted to tell Itachi the whole truth.

- Tell me!

Itachi's voice made the big boy flinch. He stopped rotating his gaze and looked directly into the onyx eyes in front of him. The raven looked like he was about to cry. Kisame reached his hand to touch him, but Itachi pushed him away.

- First, tell me what do you know about Sasuke!

Kisame sighed. He couldn't lie to his best friend. He was going to discover the news anyway.

- I saw the news. It was said that Sasuke is missing and... you killed your parents.

Itachi's eyes widened. The media thought that he did it. How the fuck did they do that?! How did they prove it? What happened to the killers and Sasuke? His head was overwhelmed with thoughts. This whole thing meaned that Itachi was about to be arrested. No, this is not happening before he finds his brother. The realization of everything hit him harder than he expected. His parents were dead, his brother was gone and the whole world thought that it was his fault and wanted him in prison, unable to save his last alive family member, Sasuke. The raven's eyes rolled up, turning completely white.

- Itachi!

Kisame managed to catch him before he fell. Why was this happening? Why did he need to see his loved one in so much pain? He still didn't know if the news were true, but he absolutely didn't care. A killer or not, Itachi was suffering and he hated that. He picked him up, getting him back into the bed.

- Kisame...

Itachi's voice filled the room, despite it being nearly a whisper. The raven was somehow still consicous.

- I didn't do it, Kisame... I didn't...

Itachi's eyes watered. His world has fallen apart. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know if he would be able to save Sasuke, neither would he be able to convince him of his innocence. His tears started rolling down, making the pain in his head even worse.

Kisame lifted him and embraced him in a hug, holding him tight, like his life depended on it. His hand was stroking Itachi's long hair. He didn't know what to say, how to comfort him, how to take his pain away...

- Let it out, 'Tachi, I'm here for you.

That day, Itachi cried a lot. This was the first time Kisame had seen him cry. He was still hugging the now exhausted raven, whose heavy eyelids were closing again, forcing him to have the rest he desperately needed. Kisame let him down, covering him with the blankets. He was going to make sure that this was the first and the last time Itachi cried. He placed his hand on the ravens cheek, sighing, looking at him with unconditional love.

The doorbell snapped him away from his thoughts. Kisame shivered. He got up and left the room, locking it.

- Who is it?

His hands were shaking. He hoped that it wasn't what he was thinking.

- Police officers.
