《Kisame's Sister: Hoshigaki Kasumi》Chapter 12

I am currently heading to the place Kakashi told us to meet at but I decided to walk a little slower than usual.
'Why should I get there in time if he's late anyways?' I thought as a bridge came to my sight with my three other teammates already there.
"You're late!" Naruto and Sakura yelled but I just ignored and walked past them and said "It was only 10 minutes. And why should I make it in time if Kakashi always gets here later than everyone else?"
I jumped up to a tree branch and sat there with my back at it's trunk. A few minutes later, I fell asleep.
I suddenly get woken up to a yell of Naruto and Sakura at Kakashi, for him begin late before he gives his usual lame excuse, and I nearly fall down from the branch I am on because of that.
I stand up and jump down of the tree and walk up to the other four.
"So, what do you want Kakashi? Why did you call us here today?" I ask, wanting to get over with it and go and do my daily training.
"Right." He says as he pulls out four papers from his pocket before continuing. "I recommended you four to the Chunin exams." He explained and handed a form to each one of us and Naruto hugs him, telling him he is the best.
After he gets the blond off of himself, he tells us some more info about the exams. We have to go to the Academy to the 301th room in five days.
They then all turn to leave but I stop and go to catch up to Kakashi and I am now walking beside him.
He let out a "Hm" sound, signaling he is listening but still reading his book.

"Thank you..." I say in a whisper like tone.
"For what?" He asks now looking at me in small confusion.
"Thank you for giving me the chance to live in this village, and thank you for letting me take the exams. It... means a lot to me." I say.
It is true. Kakashi is the reason I am here and the reason I can finally take these exams. The reason I can finally have friends.
He looks at me, surprised I said something like that.
He stares at me for a moment longer before he smiles under his mask.
"No problem."
"And one more thing. If we all go and take the exams, someone should do it alone. It would be unfair if I join the team so I will do it alone. But... even if I should see them as enemy, I have a feeling something will happen to them. I want to help those three in taking the Chunin exams." I say and he nods.
"Yes, I already talked about it to Hokage-sama. You will take the exams alone but do not tell this to your teammates. I want to see if they are feeling ready to take it." He replies. We chat a bit more before I go and train.
