《Kisame's Sister: Hoshigaki Kasumi》Chapter 8

——————————————————————————————–——–————
I woke up to birds' chirping and got up from my futon. I stretched and went to the bathroom.
I did my morning routine, brushed my hair along with my teeth and got dressed.
When I went outside, I saw noone and that's when I first looked at the time, only to see it was far later than Haku said we should leave. And the realization hit me.
'They left me here... They left without me! I know I hadn't fight much with them but I could keep up! They would have a much higher chance to kill the bridge builder if they took me with them!' I thought while I ran to put my sandals on.
I ran out the door, not locking it, and headed straight towards the bridge.
I ran and ran at full speed until I saw a thick mist. I stopped.
'Zabuza's Hidden Mist jutsu... they already started the fight' I continued my way and the first thing I hear was a sound of a thousand birds' chirping.
'This must be the Chidori. Please don't tell me I'm late! I have to run faster!' I ran as fast as I could but stopped when I saw Kakashi's dogs hold Zabuza down as he aimed the Chidori to his heart.
It happened in seconds.
A mirror made of ice appeared between the two and Haku stepped out of it, taking the hit of Kakashi's jutsu, as I stood there, frozen in place.
"No!" I yelled as loud as I could as I ran there.
Haku dropped to the ground and I kneeled down beside him. He was barely alive. Kakashi stepped back.
I started to heal him, trying to not to cry, even if I knew I couldn't do nothing.
"Kasumi..." Haku said and I looked at him instantly.

"Why? Why didn't you wake me up! You two promised I could come with you this time!" I yelled, now looking up at Zabuza who was talking to Naruto and Kakashi.
"Y-you... came back l-late y-yesterday night.. a-and I.. didn't want to w-wake you up.." I looked back at him with teary eyes as his breathing stopped.
"Zabuza... did you agree with him?" He looked down to the ground. "It wouldn't happen if you two wouldn't left me there!" I yelled as tears fell down to the ground. I tried to control my breathing, but the exhaustion from the running didn't help. At all.
Just as I somehow calmed down, a bunch of man came here, with Gato on the front of it and he started to insult Zabuza.
"Right, I owe this two. The boy nearly broke my wrist with that grasp and the girl threatened to kill me." He said and as he was about to kick Haku I appeared behind him with my katana at his neck and Zabuza grabbed his leg.
Now that he said he would not give the men what he promised, they wanted to go and stole the villagers's money, but they came and scared them. Even before they could take a step, Zabuza asked for a kunai from Naruto and went to kill them.
"That wasn't just a threat. I said I would kill you when the mission is over." I said and put the blade closer to his neck while Zabuza slaughtered a part of Gato's so-called 'army'. The other, who got away, will not come back, I'm pretty sure of it.
I watched with a calm look as people died. What do you expect from someone who also killed countless of them?
"Now that there's no more of them you are the next." I said in a cold tone, not even glancing at the short man. "I hope you'll enjoy your time in hell." With that, I sliced his neck and stepped back, not wanting to get covered by his blood, letting him to fall to the ground.

I got his blood off of my sword as Kakashi placed Zabuza down to the ground, next to Haku.
After he put Zabuza down he came over and spoke "Kasumi, come on. He wants to say something to you as well." I did as Kakashi said and I am now standing at the side of Zabuza.
"Good, you're here." He said, turning his head to look at me. I just kneeled down next to him, not saying a word.
"I want you to take my sword with you." He said. I looked at him, shocked by what he just said.
"But why?" I questioned. I'm a bit confused.
"Do you remember why did you came with Haku and me?" I nodded.
"I wanted to become one of the 7 Swordsman of the Mist but I ran away from the Village, so I found it impossible. That's why I wanted to train under one in Kenjutsu."
"Yes. I decided this a long time ago. A year after Haku found you. I wanted to give you the Executors blade when I die."
"So that's why you taught me how to use it."
"That's right... Be careful. I hope you'll find a new home..." He closed his eyes, as his heart stopped working.
I went to find the sword and took it into my hands. I looked down at it for a while before I pulled out a scroll from my pouch and put the sword into it.

The Tower Must Fall - Combat Gardener
If you're interested in a conceptual, ground-up rewrite leave a comment and tell me what you loved about it. I've got a pretty good idea of what everyone hated so there's no need for expounding on that. Gardener? A support class? This can't be! What was all my hard work for? Forget this world. Forget the System. Even if I'm a lowly support class, I'll take on the Tower and take them all down! Since the System appeared one hundred years ago, humanity has been divided into three: combat classes, intellectual classes, and support classes. Assigned at the moment of high school graduation, one's class determines their future. Rowan wanted the most out of life. A combat class, an intellectual class, either would be fine. When he is instead assigned a support class, Gardener, he notices the System is completely rigged against support classes. Refusing to give up on his dream of realizing his future by his own terms, Rowan challenges the Tower, the seat of the System and home of the Hero-King, in hopes of bringing the entire System to its knees. Season One complete. Permanent Hiatus, Pending Rewrite. Important notes: -LitRPG fantasy -Rowan is not perfect. He's got flaws, emotions, and personal issues to work through. If you want a perfect, overpowered MC who makes the right decision every time, this is NOT the work for you. -This story opens with a negative situation and an emotional growth arc for the main character. Please don't review until chapter 30 because the arc is not complete until that chapter. (Chapters are short, that's an average RR book's chapter 10) -No harem, no rape, no isekai, no romance -Questions? Please ask!
