《August Alsina's Blessing In Disguise》Leaving

I sighed as I got into the passenger seat and T drove.
"What's on ya mind Yung?" T asked.
"Man Sasha on that bullshit again. She scheduled my tour on the week of Morgan's Birthday. I had already told her I needed that week off and to reschedule the tour for the next week. She was cool about it until I told her what I needed to reschedule the tour for." I sat back and ran my hand over my face.
"Why don't you just ask Morgan to come with you on tour?"
"I don't want her to feel like she has to drop everything and come with me."
"I understand.. So when you go tell her that you're leaving?"
"Tonight. I can't wait until the week of."
"Wait.. Ain't Morgan a dancer?" T asked.
"Yea Babygirl owns her own studio and has a personal one in her house." I said.
"So why don't you just ask Morgan to dance on tour with you? She can still make money while being away from her company." T suggested.
Honestly that wasn't a bad idea because Morgan could dance ha ass of ya heard meh. Plus she wouldn't be bored, all she has to do is learn the dances and get to spend her birthday week traveling with me.
The rest of the ride was silent until T dropped me off.
I walked into the house and sat on the couch really thinking on what T had said.
There's always a loop hole to every situation.
I sat back and decided to take a nap until I was ready to call Morgan.
I groaned and checked my phone realizing I'd slept longer than I intended to. I had 2 missed calls from Morgan.
I went to my call log and called her back.
"Hello" I heard her sweet voice ring through the phone answering on the third ring.
"Hey baybeh" I cleared my throat as my voice came out a little raspy.
"It sounds like someone just woke up." She giggled.
"Man wateva you like Daddy's sleepy voice."
"Ok you got me there. Wassup babe?"
"I was calling ya back from earlier and seeing what you was up to."
"Oh yeah, I was calling you to ask if you'd eaten lunch while I was on my break."
"Nah I had already ate baybeh but thank ya tho. What you up to tonight?"
"Right now I'm downstairs cooking me something to eat."
"Good I'll be over in about 15 minutes. Fix me a plate too babe. Thank you."
"Aug I didn't say I was cooking you somethin-"
She started to say until I hung up in her face.
I laughed to myself as I seen her calling me back and texting me telling me to answer the phone.
I got off the couch and headed upstairs to grab my shoes and phone charger.

Once I had everything I got into my car soon pulling into Morgan's driveway.
I killed the engine and sat there for a moment thinking how I was going to tell Morgan that I'm leaving for 6 weeks on the week of her birthday.
I sighed and got out using my key Morgan gave me to unlock the door.
I could hear "Nothing Even Matters" by Lauren Hill playing from the kitchen.
I slowly sat my keys on the table by the front door and peeped into the kitchen. I saw Morgan at the stove swaying her hips to the music.
I slowly crept up behind her snaking my arms around her waist. She jumped a little but soon relaxed when she noticed it was just me.
I kissed her cheek and smacked her ass.
"Ouch Aug." She hissed.
"I'm sorry baybeh but ya ass was just looking good. That's something you go have to get used to." I smirked.
"Or you can keep your hands to yourself." She faked smiled and rolled her eyes.
"Alright lose tha attitude before I make ya lose it." I warned.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Here's your plate." She said as she handed me a plate of chicken, macaroni and cheese, and greens. It smelt bomb so a nigga was ready to eat.
Morgan came over with her plate and sat down at the table across from me. We prayed and started to eat.
"So what did you have to tell me that you couldn't over the phone?" Morgan said breaking the silence.
I cleared my throat and wiped my mouth. Just looking at her in here eyes I didn't want to break my baybeh's heart, but it's better to tell her now rather than dragging her along until the day comes.
"I'm leaving for tour-" I started to say but Morgan cut me off.
"OMG really when!" She said with excitement.
"You didn't let me finish. I leave for tour in 2 weeks.." I said.
After she registered what I had said, her smile dropped and face went from excited to sad.
She got up from the table and walked out the kitchen. I sighed and followed her to the living room.
"Morgan, Baybeh.." I tried to grab her hand but she snatched it away.
"August you promised you would be here for my birthday. I don't want to sound selfish but can't you reschedule the tour or something." She said.
"Morgan I already tried that and said they can't."
"Ok well just make sure you call me every night so I know your ok." She said with a sigh.
"This is a lot to ask but I was also wondering if you would like to dance for me on tour though. That way you can still make money while being away from work."
"Aug how long is this tour?"
"Only 6 weeks."
"6 WEEKS?! August I can't just leave my business to go on tour."

"It was just a suggestion Morgan damn." I said getting heated by the second.
"Thank you August but I can't ask anyone to do all my work for 6 weeks."
"What about Paris? Isn't she your assistant?"
"Yes, but she has work of her own to do."
I just sighed and got up from the couch. I grabbed my keys off of the table by the door.
"So you're just going to leave in the middle of our conversation?!" Morgan said with anger.
"YES! IM TRYING TO MAKE A WAY FOR US TO STILL SEE EACH OTHER ON YA DAMN BIRTHDAY BUT YOU BEING DIFFICULT AND SHIT!" I got louder.
She jumped at the sound of my voice because I've never gotten loud with Morgan before.
I knew she was about to cry because her bottom lip started to quiver. If I knew one thing about Morgan, she may act tough on the outside, but she's really a crybaby at heart.
She sniffled and I ran my hands down my faces.
"Morgan I'm sorry fa yelling at ya baybeh." I hugged her.
"We just have to understand we both have responsibilities to handle." She said into my chest.
"Yea ya right." I agreed.
I was just praying that she thought about going on tour with me, but I couldn't force her to leave her job for 6 weeks.
"Alright ma, imma head out it's getting late."
"Ok. Text me when you get home so I know you're safe." She said pulling away from the hug.
I could tell she wanted to cry but she was being strong.
I walked out the house, got in my car, and started to pull out her driveway.
When I finally got to my house I threw the keys on the kitchen counter and walked upstairs to take my shower.
I text Morgan I made it home and started my shower with what happened tonight still on my mind.
I really wished August could be here for my birthday, but he has work to do and I just had to accept that. It's not like he's going to be gone forever.
I received the text from August just telling me that he made it home safely and that's all I was waiting on so I could sleepy peacefully.
I got under the covers and plugged up my phone to the charger with what happened tonight heavy on my mind.
Would I be wrong to leave for 6 weeks? I would still be getting paid and I love to dance. When I was younger I always dreamed of going on tours.
Now the opportunity is here..
"Should I go?" Was all I kept thinking in my head.
I sighed and just prayed that God would guide me in the direction that I needed to take.
Today is the day that August leaves for tour and I was driving him to where they would be getting on the tour bus.
The place was about an hour away but it felt like 4 hours of just sitting in silence.
My birthday was in 2 more days and August had already promised to send me a gift while he's away.
I parked the car near the tour bus as we both sat there, neither one of us wanting to say goodbye.
His manager Sasha, walked up to the car and knocked on the passenger window where August was sitting. He rolled the window down and just looked at her.
To be a manager she was dressed like a stripper. She looked at me with a confused look on her face.
I didn't have the energy to entertain her.
"August we have to go we're on a tight time schedule."
"Man it's too damn early fa you to be all in my ear, now go on somewhere with that shit ya heard meh." August said irritated.
"Aug calm down and let's get your bags out the trunk please." I said.
"And who are you are you? One of his hoes?" Sasha said.
"Says the bitch that's has to dress up like a hoe to get his attention. At least I can get his attention fully dressed." I clapped back.
"Ight that's enough chill. Sasha I'll be over there in a minute." August stopped our bickering and Sasha left over to the buses.
We got out the car and I handed him his bags.
"Take my pic real quick." August said handing me his phone.
He walked over to me to get his phone back, about to walk back to the bus but turned around, dropped his bags, and opened his arms.
I immediately ran into his arms burying my face in his chest and shed a few tears.
This would be the longest me and August have been away from each other. I don't even know why I was feeling like this, I mean we aren't even dating.
We hugged for about 2 minutes until we heard someone clear their throat.
We pulled away and he looked me in my eyes, then he kissed me on my cheek.
"Bye Auggie" I said but he didn't find that funny I just giggled as he playfully pushed my head back.
"Bye man" August said shaking his head.
I got back in my car as I watched the buses leave one by one. I wanted to cry but I knew I was being over dramatic. My best friend was leaving me for my birthday, although he promised to make it up when he came back.
Once I got home I texted August and told him I made it safely, I still had enough time to get at least another 2 hours of sleep before I was back at work.
I plugged up my phone and watched tv until my eyes felt heavy and I fell asleep.
