《August Alsina's Blessing In Disguise》The Date (Part 2)

I found parking space as I pulled up to the Mall. I killed the engine and grabbed my purse out of the passenger seat, and locked the doors.
I walked into the mall for my nail appointment first. As I walked I signed my name for my appointment and went to pick out my color.
I sat sat down in the chair while the lady was getting prepared to do my nails, I looked over to my right and noticed a girl who looked slightly familiar.
"Excuse me.." I said to her.
She turned around. "Omg Morgan?!"
Her name was Shayla. We had became friends our Freshman year of high school. Me and Shay somehow had the same Homeroom every year. Once we went off to different Colleges we lost touch.
I laughed "Yes girl!! Omg Shay how have u been?"
"I've been good, how about yourself?" She asked.
"I've been great, you know I have my own business now." I nodded.
"Really?! That's great, I remember how you always said you wanted to start your own business one day."
"So what have you been doing Ms. Harvard University" I joked.
"Girl I have 2 kids now, a Boy and a newborn Girl. I'm also happily engaged." She said flashing her diamond ring.
"Wow that must be amazing." I said.
"It is but it's not easy, trust me. Me and my Fiancé have been through hell and back." She said. "So have you found Mr. Right?" She continued.
"Actually no.." I trailed off while I looked down. "But I have a person in mind.." I smiled as my mind traveled to August.
"Well whoever it is sure do got u smiling from ear to ear." She said as she eyed me.
"Girl I still getting to know him. We actually have a date tonight so I guess that's a start."
"Oh wow I hope it goes well." She said as she got up from her chair paying the nail technician.
"Thanks, and here put your number in my phone so we can keep in contact." I said as I carefully grabbed my phone out of my purse to unlock it.
Shay typed her number in and saved it.
"Where you finna head off to next?" Shay asked giving me my phone back.
"Shopping for a dress and then to my hair appointment."
Shayla's phone flashed, and she slightly frowned as she read something.
"Can I come with? My fiancé is running a little late picking me up." She said with a hint of irritation in her voice.
"Sure, it'll be nice to get a second opinion." I said as I pulled out my wallet to pay my nail tech.
We walked out of the nail salon and over to Forever 21 to find something simple but sexy.
I didn't want to seem like I was trying too hard on the first date.
After about 5 outfits, I finally found a outfit to my liking.
I paid for it and thanked Shayla for helping me pick it out. We had finished just in time because her fiancé had called to tell her he was here.

"Bye girl and don't forget to call me to tell me how the date went." Shay said as we hugged.
"Alright girl bye." I said.
I then went over to the Hair Salon to get my hair washed and curled. The lady pin curled my hair up so I wouldn't have to worry about my curls dropping before the date.
After I got my hair done and payed the lady, I walked out of the mall and looked at my phone to check the time.
It was only 4:00 so I still had quite a bit of time to spare. I drove home, let up the garage, and got my bags out of the back seat.
I closed the garage and went into the house cutting off the alarm. I walked to my bedroom kicked my shoes off and yawned.
I was feeling a little tired so I decided to take a nap and set my alarm for 6:00 I plugged my phone to the charger. I then wrapped my hair up nice and neat so none of the pins would come out, then slowly I drifted off to sleep.
I was just leaving the meeting with Chris and T. It was 5:00 now and all I wanted to do was get ready for this date with Babygirl.
I still had no idea what I was going to wear tonight. I needed to stop by the store to get my baby some flowers.
"Aye T can we stop by the store real quick I need to get something for Morgan real quick."
T chuckled and nodded. "What you laughing for nigga." I joked.
"Man you ain't known this girl for even 2 weeks yet and she already got you wrapped around her finger yung." T said.
We all laughed. "Man wateva." I said as we pulled up to the store.
Of course there was girls all over us and T moved them out the way. We walked and signed a couple of autographs until we got to the garden section.
"Aye Chris, what kind of flowers do girls like?" I asked.
"Shit yo guess is just as good as mines." Chis chuckled.
I just grabbed a dozen red and pink roses. As we were walking through the store I saw a huge teddy bear, it was definitely taller and bigger than Morgan 5'2 height.
I grabbed the bear and the flowers, paid for them and left the store.
We dropped Chris off at his crib. I looked at the time and noticed it was time to start getting ready for this date.
We had just pulled up to my house.
I walked into the house and up to my closet room. When I had the house built I had one of the rooms built into a closet.
I decided on a button up shirt, it was white at the top then melted into a red plaid type of design. I then grabbed some white pair of jeans and some red and white stripped shoes to match.

I walked into my bathroom to start the shower.
"Let's pray this goes well.." I thought to myself.
After I got ready I checked the time it read: 7:45pm. I sent Morgan a quick text to let her know that I was on my way.
August: Hey Babygirl getting in the car now.
Morgan: Hey Babe I'm putting on my shoes and jewelry right now.
August: Ight Babe see you when I get there♥️.
Morgan: ♥️.
I hopped into my Black Corvette, made sure I had the gifts, and started the engine.
After a 20 minute drive I finally arrived at Morgan's crib. I got out and knocked on her door with the flowers and teddy bear in hand.
Morgan opened the door and all I could say was "Damn". Babygirl looked fine as hell in her outfit, I mean it was showing just enough, but not too much.
As I stared and licked my lips, thinking of all the positions I could put her in right now, I was snapped out of my thoughts when Morgan cleared her throat.
"Can you stop eye raping me and take a picture, it'll last longer." Morgan joked.
I chuckled and shook my head. "My bad ma.. You look beautiful tonight."
"You look handsome as well." She complimented.
I cleared my throat "Thanks ma but umm these are for you." I said as I handed the gifts to her.
"Awww thank you August.." She said as she sat the bear down and hugged me.
I wrapped my arms around her waist, as we slowly pulled away we looked in each other's eyes. It's like that spark came back from when I first met her.
"I umm- -, let me go put these in a vase and I'll be right out.." She said as she walked back into the house.
Morgan came back out of the house and locked up.
As any gentlemen would I opened the car door for her, then I started on the freeway headed to Benihana's.
The car ride was silent, but not a awkward silence, more of a peaceful silence.
Once we got to the restaurant, I had already reserved our table so we were seated immediately in front of the giant stove top for the chief to prepare our food.
As the waiter took our drinks we made small talk. I found out her favorite color is Lime Green, she likes joggers and really big t-shirts rather than tight clothes all the time, her favorite movie is "ATL", and I also found out she does some modeling gigs here and there.
Honestly I wasn't surprised by the whole modeling thing, because Babygirl already looked like a model in my eyes, she was almost perfect.
We ordered our food while we watched the chief prepare the area. As the chief was cooking the rice he made a heart shape in front of us. Morgan quickly took a picture of it.
I just stared at her for a moment and intertwined our fingers, once she turned to look at me, we gazed into each other eyes until the chief cleared his throat to set our plates in front of us, snapping us out of our moment.
As the rest of the night went on we just continued to make small talk and laugh at each other's childhood stories.
We finished our food and the waiter set our checkbook on the table.
As I reached for it Morgan picked it up instead. I quickly snatched it back.
"What was that for?" Morgan asked.
"When ya with me don't eva in ya life pick up a checkbook, I got u ight" I said sternly looking into her eyes.
"I'm sorry, I just didn't want you to think I'm with you for you money, I have my own." She said looking into her lap.
"Hey Babygirl look at me," I said lifting her chin with my index finger. "Baby I wouldn't take you ta damn Benihana's if I thought ya was a gold digger. I'm fine with ya tipping the waiter but I'm not letting you pay, especially when I asked out, Ight ma?"
"Ok I understand, Auggie." She giggled.
I straight faced her. "Man gon with lame nickname shit fa real."
"I'm sorry baby" Morgan cooed as she laughed pecked my cheek.
I paid the bill, Morgan tipped, and we left the restaurant on our way to drop her off back home. The car ride was filled with Morgan's light snoring, my baybeh was full and tired.
As we pulled up to Morgan's house I killed the engine and opened the passenger door, lightly shaking Morgan.
She groaned. "Babe my feet hurt can you carry me inside, my keys are in my purse."
I chucked and searched her purse for the keys to unlock the house first. I went back out to the car and carried Morgan bridal style.
Once I made it to her room, I took off her shoes and laid her in her bed. I kissed her cheek and plugged her phone into her charger next to the bed, then went downstairs. I locked the front door behind me on my way out.
I got in the car and drove to my house, I was beyond tired, but I had to get in the studio tomorrow.
I got home, kicked off my shoes and took off my clothes, then showered for about 45 minutes.
Once I got out the shower I walked over to my phone and saw Morgan texted me.
Morgan: Thanks for tonight. It was amazing. Goodnight babe.♥️
August: No problem ma. Get some rest Babyeh, Goodnight.😘
I put on my pajamas, shut off my lamp, and got under the covers slowly drifting off to sleep.

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
