1 months later
I sighed as I touched the photo of me and August. Wiping a stray tear, I laid back down on rested my hand on my stomach.
Stay strong for your baby Charisma, stay strong
I was still trying to cope with August death. It was taking a toll on my mental health.
I wiped away my tears as I heard two soft knocks on my door.
"Come in"
The door opened, and here were Tiana, Kai and Eli.
"Heyy" Eli said softly.
"Hi y'all" I sat up and sniffed.
"Aww pooh" Kai sat down and hugged me.
Tiana and Eli hugged me and I started crying again.
"It's gonna be okay love" Tiana caressed my hair.
"I miss him" I hiccuped.
"We miss him too. But he's in a better place" Kai said, as her eyes glossed over.
"I don't like seeing you like this. You've barely been out the room. Get out an get some fresh air" Eli said, opening my curtains
"Do it for you and the baby" Kai said.
I looked down at my slightly pudgy belly.
"I can't stop thinking of him, and now I have to raise this child on my own" I broke down again.
I was trapped in a storm, and I was giving up on trying to get out.
"Okay, that's it, Get up" Tiana said.
I just looked at her.
"Don't make me snatch you out this bed. We're going to get fro-yo, and then you're going to your doctors appointment" Tiana crossed her arms.
"You heard her, hop on up" Eli said.
I sighed and looked down for a minute.
"Fine"
—
"Shit it's hot" Kai said, as we got the car.
"Finna sweat my damn hair out" Eli grumbled.
I just shook my head and smiled a little.
"Oh she smiles" Tiana teased.
"Whatever" I shook my head.
"Welcome to OrangeBerry, what can I get for you lovely people today?" The cashier asked.

"Can I get a large cup" Kai said, rubbing her stomach.
"Hungry ass" Eli muttered. She glared at him.
"I'll get the medium cup" Eli said.
"I'll take the medium as well" Tiana nodded.
"What you getting Charisma?"
"I'm fine"
"She wants a medium as well" Tiana said, pulling out a crisp 50 dollar bill and handing it to the cashier.
I just rolled my eyes and folded my arms.
"Look Charisma, don't stop taking care of yourself. August wouldn't want you to do that. He would want you to be happy and stress-free during this pregnancy" Tiana said, looking at me.
I just sighed and looked down.
"I'm sorry, I'm trying to get it together, I really am" I said.
She gave me a sympathetic look as she handed my my cup.
We went over to to the yogurt dispenser.
"Oh no, that shit is trifling Kai" Eli turned up his nose as we watched Kai mix all the flavors.
"You try being pregnant" She grumbled.
"Okay, Charisma pregnant and you don't see her doing that nasty stuff" He snapped back.
"Go choke" She rolled her eyes as she dipped her spoon into it.
"Shit maybe I will" He wiggled his eyebrows.
I chuckled a little.
"Oh my god she laughs too" Kai held her chest.
"Hush" I shook my head as I filled my cup with vanilla and chocolate chip.
We all sat down at a table.
"Y'all I gots some tea" Eli said.
[ That's Eli ]
"Spill bitch" Kai said, putting her spoon down.
"So y'all know that fine ass dark skin we saw at the mall a few weeks ago right?" He asked Tiana and Kai as I just listened.
"Yeah, what about him?" Tiana asked.
"Well he's taking y'all fav out on a date" he stuck his tongue out.
"Ouuu I see you boo, I see you"
I smiled as they interacted. I couldn't really add in to the conversation, but they managed to keep me involved by asking questions.

"Dammit!" Eli said as he hit his head getting out the car.
I bit my lip to stop myself from laughing, whereas Kai and Tiana were snickering loud.
"Yeah laugh it up with y'all ugly asses" He rolled his eyes.
I really loved my friends, they lightened my mood today, and that was good considering these last few weeks.
"Charisma, you ready?" Kai asked.
"Yup" I nodded. I really couldn't wait to see my little bean.
"Hi I'm Charisma Jackson, and I have an appointment with Dr. Nelly" I told the woman at the front desk.
"Okay, she'll be with you in a moment, you can go and take a seat" She said, checking the computer.
"Thank you" I nodded as I went and sat by Kai.
"Kai, you're almost due girly" Tiana smiled.
"Yeah, 3 more months" She sighed, smiling.
"I can't believe y'all babies only gone be a few months apart" Eli said.
"Right. Like they could be the best of friends" Kai started getting excited.
I just sat their and listen to them go on about future plans with babies.
"Charisma Jackson?" I heard the OBGYN ask.
I stood, and they stood as well.
"Okay follow me" She smiled as she led us to a room.
"Okay so you can take a seat here, and Dr. Nelly will be in shortly" She smiled.
"Okay" I nodded.
"Eli quit messing with the damn gloves" Tiana hissed as Eli blew up one of them.
"Girl they ain't gone notice" He shrugged her off.
We heard two knocks on the door, and Eli hurried and sat down.
"Come in" I said.
"Hi Charisma, nice seeing you again" Dr Nelly smiled at me.
"Likewise" I gave her a small smile.
"Okay, well I need you to lay down and lift your shirt up, the gel is a little cold" She said.
I leaned back and lifted my shirt, I jumped a little when I felt her coat my stomach with the gel.
"Okay, so you'll be able to see your baby right there, and you may even here the heartbeat" She pointed to the screen as she put the ultrasound thing on my stomach.
(A/N: I don't know what the thing is called, so excuse me😭)
She began moving it back and forth on my stomach, and the screen lit up.
I squinted my eyes when I saw two circles.
"Technology has really developed" I said, not wanting to admit what I knew I saw.
"Oh congratulations! You're having twins!" Dr Nelly excitedly said.
I heard my friends gasp
"And you can hear their heartbeats, listen" She said.
I heard two distinct heartbeats.
I covered my mouth as tears fell down my face.
She printed the pictures and handed them to me.
"I'll see you next month, and don't forget to take your vitamins" Dr Nelly said, giving me a pat on the shoulder as she left out.
"Oh my god! You're having twins!" My friends rushed around and hugged me.
Wow, I'm really having two babies.
I really wish August was here to raise them with me.

Island Paradise (Grashien Chronicles Book 1)
The Grashiens have survived in hiding for millenia, peacefully watching over the human race from within. The arrival of one girl sets in motion a chain of events that will be impossible to stop. What will come of this unexpected change in circumstances? How will the tribes react? And will the Grashiens be able to rejoin society for good? Author's note: This is the first book in what is expected to be an eight-book series. The first few chapters aren't very good since they were written when I was about ten, but the quality improves around chapter 7. Please bear with it; I'll try to get the chapters in as soon as possible. Thanks!

Liana in between Worlds
17 year old Liana is not as surprised as most people would be when she meets Inaya, coming from another world searching for a mysterious danger that could be disastrous for both worlds. She's always seen things others could not see, and she often finds it easier to befriend strange creatures from dreamworlds than her classmates. But now she's involved in a possible plot to eradicate our whole species, which makes her travel through a dead alien city and the oak wood of the Nummerfa who believe that our species are dangerous demons from hell, and other places in several different worlds. All she actually wanted was read her Tolkien book, or sit and watch the stars without being bothered by the existential problems of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. And how is she going to even explain her absence at school? 'Liana in Between Words' is a weird genre-defying mix of portal fantasy and scifi in a tale of friendship, loneliness, and the role of humans in the multiverse. This one contains absolutely no romance and no serious trigger warnings for sex, excessive violence, bad words or heavily traumatising content if you can handle the idea that there are people somewhere who think -maybe not completely without reason- that our species are destructive demons that should be eradicated.
