AYANNA'S POV:
I am sitting on my couch with Bryson holding my hand and sitting beside me; watching Supernatural, when all of a sudden my front door opens.
I look at Bryson with raised eyebrows and he shrugs at me.
"Maybe it's a murder..." He jokes and i scowl at him.
"Who just came into my house?" I yell and i hear someone walking towards the living room.
"Bill Nye the Science Guy," Max shouts back and plops down between Bryson and me. I shake my head and move over a little to give him some more room.
"You know, it's called a doorbell," Bryson suggests and Max scowls at him.
"Don't sass me, Bryson, i am not in the mood,"
"Are you ever in the mood for it?" Bryson asks with raised eyebrows and i roll my eyes. Men... I'll just never understand them.
"Guys! Enough... Max, tell me why you came over," I say and Max heaves a sigh, but Bryson just looks amused.
"Maggie won't talk to me," Max complains and Bryson looks shocked at the new information.
"Why isn't she talking to you?" Bryson asks in confusion.
"Because we got into a fight the other day," Max explains.
"Over what?"
"That's the thing, i have no idea. I must have said something that pissed her off because she refuses to talk to me," Max replies.
"Huh, she didn't even tell me you guys got into a fight," Bryson says slowly.
"I'll attempt to talk to her," I cut in and Max looks so relieved that i feel sorry for the guy.
I grab my phone from off the coffee table and head up to my room and call Maggie.
"Yes?" Maggie answers.
"Hey, it's Aya," I say and Maggie sighs.
"I figured he would tell you to call me," she replies.
"Who?" I ask innocently and i can almost see Maggie rolling her eyes at me.
"You know exactly who,"
"Um, no i don't think so," I respond.
"Aya... Don't lie to me, Max told you to call me because i'm not talking to him"
"Ok fine, so why aren't you talking to him because he has no idea what he did wrong," I answer.
"Well, we were both at my house a few days ago and we were sitting on the couch talking like normal and then he said it,"
"said what?" I ask.
"He said he loved me," she answers and i stare at the floor in confusion.
"And you are angry about this because?" I ask and Maggie lets out a huge sigh as if to say that i have greatly dissapointed her in not knowing that answer.
"Because i wanted to be the first one to say it AND because there was no romance about it! He just sort of blurted it out," Maggie explains and i hold back my laughter.
"Oh. Well, sure i guess that makes sense, but that's not really a good reason to get angry about it," I respond.

"Ayanna Jones! If Bryson just blurted out that he loved you and then looked like he wanted to throw up or take back what he just said, you can't tell me that you wouldn't be upset," Maggie says and i bite my lip. Yeah, i guess that really is true. I would be upset too, not to her extent though, but whatever.
"Ok, thanks, that's all i needed to know. Do you want me to talk to him abou it?" I ask her and she sighs again.
"No! Because then he will feel as if he has to do something romantic and don't want to force him to do something he doesn't want to do," Maggie explains and after a few more minutes of talking we hang up and i walk back down the stairs and make up my mind to tell Max anyway because i know he will do something to fix this, and i doubt that he didn't want to be romantic, it's just that he can't be romantic.
"So, what did she say?" Max asks frantically as soon i walk into the living room and Bryson rolls his eyes.
"Man, you are dramatic," Bryson complains, but for once Max ignores him.
"She said she is upset with you because you are not romantic at all," I explain and Max looks confused and Bryson looks about ready to laugh.
"She what?" Max asks in confusion.
"When you told her you loved her, that night that she got pissed at you, the words just kind of burst out and Maggie said you looked like you were about to throw up," I continue ad Max drops his head in his hands.
"That's it? Because you weren't romantic enough?" Bryson says and starts laughingg.
"I would have done the same thing if you would have told me you loved me like that," I say and he immediatly stops laughing and pats Max on the back sympothetically.
"So, i guess i will have to change that," Max says and i nod.
"I think that would be a good plan," I reply and sit down on the couch again, but this time i sit beside Bryson and grab hold of his han.
"So, Aya, what did Coach say after you talked to him?" Max asks after a few minutes of silence and i heave a sigh.
"He says he doesn't know what's true and what's not. So, i guess i can either wait for his desicion or i can go talk to him face to face," I explaina dn Bryson squeezes my hand.
"Or... Bryson, you, and me could go and talk to him face to face. Maybe if we all tell him the truth he will be more willing to actually listen to it," Max suggests and i look at him in shock.
"That's actually... Not a bad plan," I say and Bryson starts laughing again.
"Don't sound so shocked," Bryson says and his brown eyes dance with amusment.

Max scowls at him for like the tenth time today and stands up. Bryson and I both stare at him in confusion.
"Well? Are we going or not?" Max asks and Bryson hops to his feet and pulls m up to.
"Heck yeah we are," Bryson answers for me and drags me out to his car. Max follows and hops in the back.
"Does anybody actually know where Coach lives?" I ask and there is silence.
"A....No, not at all," Max says and Bryson shakes his head no.
I drop my head in my hands and Bryson holds my hand between his and tries to soothe me.
"Hey, why don't i just call and ask him?" Max asks and we stare at him.
"Max, that's not going to work if he knows why we want to go to his house," Bryson speaks slowly as if talking to a little kid.
"Well, duh, i know that. I'm going to tell him that i have a problem and i really need to speak to him face to face," Max says and dials Coach.
"Hey, Coach, hey," Max says and Coach says something.
"Look, i need to see you face to face and talk because i have this really big problem and...."
"Yes, of course it's about football! So, do you mind telling me where you live so i can come and talk to you?" Max asks.
"No! It's not a mid-life crisis! Do i look like some 50 year old man to you?" Max says and i hold in my laughter.
Max listens some more before finally taking his phone away from his ear and ending the call. He sits there for a while looking out the window and i stare at him.
"Max?!"
"Huh, what?" Max asks and looks at me, dazed.
"Oh for the love of.... What's his adress?" I ask.
"Oh right! I almost forgot," he says and tells us the address.
When we finally arrive at the house, we all jummp out and practically sprint to the door. Max straightens his shirt and knocks on the door. Coach opens it and looks surprised to see all of us standing on his porch.
"This was your emergancy about football? Aya's situation?" Coach asks after he invites us in and we tell him why we are there.
"Yes, it is. Because it's not fair if you kick her off team," Max says and Coach rolls his eyes.
"Max, if she was dealing drugs..." Coach begins.
"But she wasn't! She was blamed for something that she didn't even do," Bryson yells and Coach looks at him and i can tell that he wants to know what Bryson is talking about.
"Well, i guess someone better fill me in, i guess, on what really did happen then," Coach says with a sigh and leads us into his living room and motioning us to sit down.
Coach listens to me as i explain the best i can about what happened that day that i was blamed for dealing drugsand kicked out of school. He also listens when Max and Bryson tell him that they know for a fact that i would never ever do something like that.
I don't know what it was, maybe he really did believe my story, or maybe he thought that i would never do it again (even though i didn't do it in the first place) or maybe he just felt sorry for me. But watever the reason, Coach made the desicion to allow me to stay on the team and continue to play football.
"I want to thannk you for taking the time to tell me the truth. Because i was coming down to my desicion and i figured that i better not take the chance at having some drug dealer on the team, so i was going to kick you off the team, but i am glad that you came and talked to me. I know it took a lot of guts to do it, but i believe that you know it was worth it," Coach says as we are standing by the door to leave his house.
I smile at Coach and feel so much lighter knowing that i am still on the team. I mean, the play off's are only a couple days away, and i am glad that i will be able to play in them.
I am going to work my hardest to see that we win them just for Coach.
