《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Rumlow

We knew where Rumlow was going to be. A date and time. Lagos, Nigeria, March 10th, at noon. We knew.
I called in a sub to teach my class for the next month, so I could work on bettering my skills. Loki also called out.
I mostly worked on teleporting living beings again. I could trade places with someone easily, but still had trouble just teleporting people. I could teleport people, if they were touching me, but it took a lot of concentration.
Loki was working on big scale illusions. He was getting pretty good at them. It was still a bit hazy, though. We spared together almost every day and he, along with Wanda, helped me train my Mind abilities. I still couldn't do much, but I could now make peoples minds fuzzy and discombobulated. It would help with fighting, but right now it took too much concentration to do.
March 10th came all too quickly. I still didn't feel ready. On top of that, half of our team couldn't go. We needed to be discreet and Rumlow probably had people watching the Avengers movements. It needed to look like the compound was still active. Tony couldn't come. If he cancelled his M.I.T. showcase after it had been booked for months at the same time as Rumlow's mission, Rumlow would get suspicious.
Loki wasn't going either. He couldn't. If Rumlow didn't see one of us he might know I was going after him. He knew Loki and I had been a package deal since I broke away from HYDRA. If he knew Loki was around the compound, he would automatically assume I was, too.
I got ready in our room while Loki watched in silence. Even though I knew we all made it through, if I made one mistake, someone could die. Most likely a civilian. I had to make sure Rumlow didn't set his bomber vest off. In the movie, Wanda tried to contain the blast of the vest with her power, but it was too much and it got away from her. Rumlow ended up slamming into an apartment building, mid explosion. The world blamed the Avengers for those deaths. It was what brought on the Sokovia Accords. I couldn't have that. One more thing to stop civil war from happening.

"Please be careful..." Loki finally said as I was checking all of my weapons. I stopped and looked up at him, a soft smile gracing my lips.
"Don't worry, it's a small mission. The others have my back, but I promise to be careful." I told him. He looked up from where he was staring at the floor. He was angry when I told him that he needed to stay behind. I knew he hated staying behind, but we needed him to. Loki sighed before looking away from me again. He was pouting.
"Love, I'll be back in seven hours." I chuckled. "That's not even a full work day."
Loki kept sulking, leaned back against the wall with his arms crossed. I smiled fondly at him and took a deep breath. I shook my head as I made my way to him. I wrapped my arms around his middle and leaned against his chest. His hand traced my spine while his other held my hip. I tilted my head up to look at him.
"I'll be alright, I promise." I smiled slightly. Loki just looked over my face with a worried expression. "Hey," I nudged him, "I love you."
Loki finally focused on my eyes. After a few seconds, he leaned in to kiss me. It was a lazy kiss, slow, drawled out. The kind that clouded my thoughts, but didn't go as far as set my body on fire. Loki's hand cupped my cheek before he pulled back. We were both dazed. He traced my bottom lip with his thumb as he watched them.
"I love you, too." Loki whispered and pressed another kiss on my lips.
I spent my last few minutes hugging Loki. He always needed extra reassurance when it came to my safety. When I gave him my last kiss goodbye, I teleported to the hangar. Everyone going was already there, they were just waiting for me since I would play pilot this time. Clint would normally do it, but Lila had a dance recital for her school.

"Everyone ready?" I questioned.
"Looks like it. What about you?" Cap asked.
"Ya," I nodded, "I'm ready to go. Let's get on the jet, then." I said before turning to walk onto the jet to start it up.
It was a short flight. Everything was a short flight when flying at Mach 3. The trip would only be two and a half hours. We left at five AM, Lagos was five hours ahead, so we'd be there at ten AM. That meant we had two hours to scout the area and set up a perimeter.
"You're awfully quiet." Natasha said as she slipped into the co-pilot's seat.
"Just thinking." I told her, not taking my eyes off the sky.
"Care to share?" She asked, raising a red brow.
"Just thinking about how things have to play out. If I mess up, people will die." I said in a monotone.
"Is this the next movie?" Natasha asked. I didn't answer. "Great," she sighed deeply.
"Let's just hope that this mission will be the end of the movie, I think I prevented everything else." I told her, still not looking away form the sky.
"Nat, Sammee, team meeting." Cap called over to us.
I looked behind me at him, Sam, and Wanda sitting in the back of the quinjet, waiting for us. I flipped a switch, made sure the jet was steady, and unbuckled my seatbelt. The quinjet was on autopilot now, so I wouldn't have to worry, I stood from my seat and walked to the back of the jet. Natasha and I sat next to eat other, facing Sam and Wanda while Steve was sitting on our bench.
"Sammee, is there anything you can tell us about this fight?" Steve asked. I thought for a moment.
"Well, you already know they're after a biological disease. It's an airborn pathogen, so don't let the vial break while fighting. The glass it's kept in should be strong, but don't trust it. I'm not positive it won't break, they never said in the movie." I started explaining. I couldn't say what would happen, but I could give some things away... I thought. "Rumlow now goes by the terrorist name 'Crossbones'. He'll be the one wearing a black and white mask. He's also got these high powered gauntlets that make his punch Cap level strong. It'll hurt like a bitch if you get hit." I said and paused to think of anything else to say, I didn't really have anything. "That's all I can say."
"That was more than enough, thank you." Steve told me with an appreciative smile.
"Oh," I sat up straight and looked at Wanda, "Wanda, you're not going to get this yet, but... trust me to be there and hold strong until I am." I said. I needed her to remember not to panic when holding Rumlow's explosion back.
"Of course." Wanda said hesitantly and nodded slowly. "Does... something happen to me?" She asked.
I shook my head, "That's not what my warning was about." I said with a small smile. When Wanda saw my smile, she relaxed and leaned her back against the wall.
"Alright, let's go over the plan one more time." Sam suggested, and so we did. For the next hour, Sam, Wanda, Steve, Natasha, and I went through our plan of attack. Our plan to stop Rumlow, once and for all.

She likes the idea of waking up in the middle of her favourite book with the handsome, brooding Mr Thornton glaring at people in his mill yard, but she doesn't worry about the foul air of dirty, smoky Milton, because it's not real, and it was written over 160 years ago.But then she takes a trip to Oxford, and gets waylaid along the way, finding herself greeted at a smoky train station, by a man called Mr Hale, who claims to be her godfather. When Isabel meets Margaret and first sees Mr Thornton, she's determined to help the course of love run a little more smoothly for the two stubborn lovers. But Gaskell hadn't accounted for a second young lady in the Crampton house, and whilst Isabel tries to adapt to a life where women have no independence or equality, Milton must adapt to her. The question is, will Mr Thornton adapt to her, or Margaret, first?
