Anthea wandered trough the halls of her palace. She needed some distraction and time to overthink the things that had happened.
Queen Anthea, daughter of a murderer and a dead father.
Not a good life for a teenager.
Anthea ended up in the gallery. Paintings of her brothers, sister and father filled the room.
She read the names underneath the paintings. Joffrey, Tommen, Myrcella and Robert.
Joffrey, she never knew him, but she heard stories. Some say he was a mad king, but others say he was the best king to ever walk this earth. If that is true, why was he murdered?
Tommen, her older brother. He was always nice to her and her sister. He killed himself, never knowing that he would live on as the 'sweet king'. That he was, for sure.
Myrcella, her older sister would have been a great queen, but was killed unfortunately by the sandsnakes.
And last but not least her father, Robert Baratheon. He died during a hunt. The great king who won the rebellion, killed by a pig. Sad story.
Anthea often wondered when it was her time to leave this world. All her siblings died, that had to be fate.
The young queen left the gallery and strolled down the halls once more. She didn't really pay attention to where she was going and bumped into someone.
She landed on the ground and rubbed her head, while looking up. It was her mother.
Cersei looked down at her daughter and Anthea quickly got up.
'Mother,' she whispered with a grimace. Cersei smiled softly. 'Little dove, I have been looking for you.'
'Why?' she spat angrily.
'I wanted to apologize for my... behaviour. I shouldn't have killed your handmaiden, but I wanted to protect you. That is all I ever want.'

'Protect me from what? She was my friend, not my enemy.' Anthea gave her an angry glare.
'Was she?' Cersei cocked her head to the side and gave her an sympathizing look.
Anthea frowned. 'Yes, I am pretty sure she was.' What was she getting at?
'I wouldn't be so sure about that, my child. When I ordered a few girls to clean out her room, they found this.' Her mother showed her a knife.
'So what? It is a knife, who doesn't have a knife in Kingslanding?' Anthea still didn't get it.
'Why would a simple servant girl own such an expensive knife? It is true, everyone in Kingslanding has got a knife, but servants certainly don't have such expensive knives. This is Valerian steel. Not an accessory for the common wealth.'
'Who says it is hers? Maybe someone left it there.' Her voice was breaking. It couldn't be true. Why would Alayane want to assassinate her?
'It it a Dornish knife, little dove.' Cersei sighed and shook her head. 'Besides that, we also found something else. Well, something, someone is more like it.'
'Who?' the girl asked.
'A Dornish spy. We locked him up and tried to find out why he was here, but he refused to speak. So we... played around with him a bit and eventually he spoke. He told me that Ellaria Sand had sent a killer to murder you. That sweet girl would have been your death, Anthea.'
Anthea eyed her mother. Was it true? Would her friend really have killed her, given the chance? Tears stung in the corner of her eyes and Cersei pulled her in an embrace.
Of course it was true, why would her mother lie to her? It was her mother! She only tried to protect her and Anthea was planning to send her away! She felt really guilty.

'I am so sorry, mother. I thought she was my friend,' she cried.
'It it alright, sweetheart. I forgive you. But please be more careful the next time. I wouldn't want you to get hurt,' Cersei responded.
Her mother let go of her and smiled her sweetest smile. She dried her daughters tears and gave her a little squeeze before walking away.
A big, fake grin on her face.
She was going to thank the smith that had made this beautiful replica of a Dornish sword.

HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize?
