《Realm || A Game Of Thrones Fanfiction》2

Three servant girls were sent by Cersei to clean the mess up that she had made. It was nothing like her to just snap and kill someone, but she needed it. She needed to avenge her daughter.
Anthea tried to cover her red, puffy eyes with powder, while trying not to focus on the girls behind her dragging away her friends body.
Her heart felt broken. She tried her best not to cry, but it was hard.
A knock on her door made the four girls jump.
'Come in...' Her voice sounded weak.
It was her uncle Jamie. She dismissed the three girls who were done cleaning.
'Uncle,' she whispered. Her throat felt sore and scratchy. Her uncle eyed her with worry in his eyes.
'Are you alright?' He asked while scanning the room. He saw the blood stains and immediately knew something was wrong.
Anthea stumbled towards him and Jamie had to catch her before she fell. She buried her face in his chest and clutched onto him. She started sobbing and the sobbing turned into heartbreaking screaming.
Jamie held her tight and tried to comfort her. He drew circles on her back with his hand and told her it was going to be alright.
'It was mother,' she spoke after a while. Jamie frowned.
'What did she do? Did she hurt you?' he asked. Anthea shook her head.
'She killed my handmaiden. Alayane was my only true friend.' Anthea bit her lip to prevent her from starting to cry again.
'Why did she kill her?' Jamie looked really confused. He didn't understand why she would. She was never one of reckless actions. Killing an innocent maiden was not her way of getting what she wanted.
'She was from Dorne. She killed her because she wanted to avenge Myrcella.'

Jamie stared at the girl in front of him. His daughter, although she didn't know. Myrcella and Anthea were his two favorite children, but of course he never said it out loud. The two girls had always had a good bond and somewhere he could understand Cersei's behaviour. His sister already lost three children. He already lost three children. And she didn't want to loose her last living child. But hurting her daughter by killing her friend, that was cruel.
She looked heartbroken. Staring in the distance. Jamie grabbed her hand.
'I will speak to her,' he promised, but Anthea shook her head.
'I am the queen, I will not tolerate this. I am going to send mother away. I don't want her here anymore.'
'You can't just send your mother away. She is on your small council AND she is you most trusted advisor.' It felt wrong to defend the woman who had just murdered an innocent girl, but he loved Cersei. He didn't want her to go.
'She killed her for no reason! If I let her stay, people will think I'm a weak queen. She can't stay, uncle.'
Jamie sighed. He knew she was right. Cersei did something horrible, but it wasn't that bad compared to the other things she had done.
'Let me speak to your mother. At least give her a trial or a prison sentence. She is your mother, you need her.'
Anthea looked down at her hands and eventually nodded.
'But if she ever comes near to me again, I will have her killed.'

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
