"Wrong way asshole," Justin screeches as we play Call Of Duty on his ps4.

I looked at him confused for a split second before focusing on the game once again.

"You should help me," He said, Justin with as much as I cared for him, he and I had made a bet once when we were twelve that involved him saying he would be able to get me to listen to him.

I was always the less dumb one out of the two of us, to be quiet honest I don't even remember what brought that up at the time.

But Justin still after what I think is six years is still trying to win the stupid bet.

"Just give up on that already," I say just like I said the last time he tried to trick me in some way, it seems as the more time passes the worse his attempts get.

"Just let me win the damn bet then!"

"I'm good," I shrugged, still having my eyes glued to the screen. I heard his shout of profanities and I just smiled.

*~*~*~*~*

I and Justin were now taking a small break to pig out on junk food.

When I heard the sound of my ringtone, I looked around not knowing where I put it.

"Over here idiot," Justin waved in front of my face, he looked at the screen and smirked.

"Oooh Ensleey," He laughed, "look you even have her name in some cool font! Why isn't my name like that on your phone? Don't you love me too?" he pretended to whine.

Truth is that I had only added that font to appease Ensleey I didn't do emojis or want to put nicknames on my phone, not that I didn't understand why people do, though when Ensleey noticed I was tempted to.

She was only teasing and wasn't being serious, though in some ways I found it cute how it seemed to be something she wanted to do, even with her not being a fan of the cheesy couple things.

Then she came up with an idea where we use a font app she found and have each other's names in our phones in that font.

So we weren't that couple, but still had our thing that was uniquely ours.

Maybe that was cheesy, but at least it was our thing.

Something only me and Ensleey understood

No one else has a special font on my phone nor does she.

"Justin," I groaned, trying to grab the phone from him.

"What c'mon! You said she was busy with her own friends. I'm sure it's not important," he was laughing. I knew he'd give it at some point and just wanted to annoy the living hell out of me.

Of course, it was working, and he was right Ensleey did say she and her friends were hanging out.

One of the reasons I'm at Justin's.

My phone stopped ringing for a second, then quickly started ringing again.

Ensleey has never called twice, she usually waits until I call back.

Now that I think about it, she never calls me straight away, she usually texts me to see if I'm free to call.

"What's wrong?" Justin seems to sober up quickly when he sees the worry etched on my face is my guess.

"She never calls twice," I say, and then the phones in my hand.

"Then answer it dumbass!" He says I want to tell him that I would have answered it sooner if he hadn't kept it away from me.

But I'm too worried about my girl to do anything but answer the call frantically.

I expect to hear the sound of Ensleey's voice, but instead, I'm greeted by a male voice I don't know of.

My blood boils.

"Is this Ryver?"

"Who the hell are you?" I say not really thinking of the words before they leave me.

"Look man, you're Ryver right? Ensleeys boyfriend?" he asks, seeming bored of this conversation when it hasn't even started yet.

"What's it to you?"

"Well I'm not saying anything until I know I have the right number," the guy says, seeming slightly smart.

"Yes, I'm her boyfriend, why the hell do you have her fucking phone?"

"She's drunk in the staff room, I think you should come and pick her up," He says. "I would drop her off myself but I've got a lot of work."

I wonder what he means by a lot of work, and how would he even know where to drop her off.

"Yeah I'll be there soon," I say, feeling a swarm of different emotions, angry, and concerned about being the most prominent.

Angry because she said she barely ever drinks anymore let alone getting drunk.

Concerned because my girlfriend is drunk, somewhere on her own.

"Okay, drive to, R and J bar..."

He explained where it is and said to ask a bartender for Robert Mill when I get there.

What seemed confusing is how the hell had Ensleey managed to get herself at a bar in the first place.

I decided to save my questions for when Ensleey is with me and sober.

I really knew a lot about the girl I was in love with.

How pathetic am I?

I mean for fucks sake she had Molly in her bathroom...

I tried to focus on the now again, almost forgetting Justin was in the room with me until I heard his voice.

"What's up, man?" He asked. As he watched me, as I frantically searched for my car keys, "hey, hey, slow down, what's wrong?"

"I gotta go. Ensleey." That's all I said before I was rushing to the door.

"You're not driving like this, give me your keys and I'll take you and you'll tell me what the heck is going on, okay?"

"No, no," I shake my head. Justin knows nothing about that side of Ensleey, and I don't know if she wants him to.

"Ryv whatever is going on you can tell me you know I won't say shit if that's what you're worried about because there's no way I'm letting you drive like this."

I nod not wanting to admit defeat, but he has a point I would be probably driving way past the speed limit, without giving a damn.

My keys fall into the palm of his hand, then we are rushing out. I give him the address that the guy who I know as Robert gave me, and I can see the confusion on his face, but am relieved he doesn't push on information.

When we are halfway there Justin speaks up, "are you going to tell me why I'm driving to a bar?"

The question posed didn't seem much as something nosy more so filled with worriment.

"Ensleey, she... uh got drunk there," I say feeling slightly embarrassed.

"Okay..." Justin says, he doesn't push but I know he is curious to know more, I doubt he expected what I had said, considering she hides her problems well from everyone.

We keep quiet until we arrive at the bar, which we can tell is the right place by the flashy neon sign that reads "R&J BAR" In bold writing.

I rushed out of the car.

"Should I wait here?" Justin asks, I nod and tell him I'll be back as fast as possible.

I go over to the bar when I am inside the place, which seems to be very open, other than where the large bar is placed, and a few doors that are closed.

"Hi, I'm looking for Robert Mill," I say to the bartender who is wiping down the counter, from the looks of it he seems to be dark-skinned in his early twenties.

"And you are?" He asks, seeming burned out.

"Ryver." I say, he nods and asks me to follow him, so I do, he leads me to one of the doors, and on the sign, it reads "office" he knocks then opens the door.

I then see a tall man who also seems to be in his early twenties.

"This the kid?" The man who led me here questions.

"Seems like it," The man who now I am guessing is Robert replies.

When the door shuts I can't help feeling antsy and question him, "so where is Ensleey?"

"C'mon," he sighs and leads out the room down a long hallway, "that girl is insane."

He chuckles, I feel his words get under my skin.

I want to know how he would even know such things.

He opens a door, and there is Ensleey sitting on the couch giggling quite maniacally.

There is nothing funny but she seems to be having the time of her life.

"You finally decided to bring me more Robbie?" She asks, getting up, her eyes are red-rimmed, her hair is devilish and she looks extremely happy.

"Girlie you know I can't, though I brought someone to pick you up,"

She finally notices me and she giggles, "Ryver!" she screams, flinging herself off the couch and wrapping her hands around my neck.

"Take good care of her, alright? She isn't the best with tequila" I nod and the guy shakes his head, "and Ensleey? Call if you need anything, I guess I'll leave you guys to it. Stay as long as you want."

I briefly wonder why he'd let her have tequila if that's the case, but don't, not wanting another reason to form another aspect to add to my jealousy.

I nod and Robert gives us his final goodbye, before leaving us alone.

"I missed you," Ensleey says.

"Yeah? Really? Because I don't think you missed me when you lied to me and went to get drunk!" I say in a whisper yell, not wanting outsiders to hear me.

I didn't know what to expect when I got here, but I didn't expect her to act all dandy.

"Chill out I just wanted to have fun," She says and tries to kiss me, I of course don't let her because she clearly is too drunk for this, "you don't want me?" she frowns.

Ensleey backs away from me looking angry now what the hell is going on?

"Ensleey your drunk,"

"Of course that's what they all fucking say, before calling me whore!" She yells, "You think that'd I'd just be naked? I'm not like that anymore!"

I don't know what she's going on about but she only stops for a moment before continuing, not giving me enough time to process what she's saying.

"Because I'm not a slut or whore or a fucking tramp, I'm not going to do anything to just be appreciated anymore, you can't control me no one can." She says her voice sounding sad, stabbing my heart.

I wrap my arms around her, "Ensleey please c'mon I'm going to take you home, okay? Justin's in the car,"

"No-"

"He won't say anything you will be fine I promise,"

I pull her arm lightly, then move my hand down her arm until I reach her finger, and hold her hand in mine.

I led her out of the room, and into the general bar that I now notice is loud, filled with people's chatter.

I nod once at the bartender; he nods back, but it seems Ensleey has other plans.

"Bye Dale!" She yells rather loudly, he gives her a small wave and we are off.

As we walk I ask Ensleey, "So you know the guy Robert well?"

"Yeah we actually fu-" she stops herself, "uh we uh friends"

She laughs and stares off for a moment then, "I mean I know him a bit,"

"Okay," I say feeling angry. Of course, she slept with him. I hate that thought but don't want to say anything when she is in this state.

She stumbles many times and giggles even more, when we finally arrive at my car where Justin is still seated in the driver's seat, relief floods me.

I open the door for Ensleey, even when drunk she keeps passing me glances, most probably wondering if I understood what she said. Yes, I did Ensleey but I'm not asking questions until it's fair too.

"Hi Ensleey," Justin attempts to be polite, though I can hear the hesitation in his voice, I don't blame him.

"Do you want me to stay with you tonight," I ask when I can't take the silence in the car anymore, Ensleey is in the back while I and Justin are in the front.

"No, I'm great," she says.

"How about Jake, would that be easier?" I ask, not wanting her to be alone, even if I am pissed off. Justin gives me a look that clearly asks if it's the same Jake, I nod and his eyes widen, but he doesn't say anything.

"No! Don't, he'll worry," She says.

"I think he'd have every right," I say.

"Just shut up Ryver," She huffs.

"Shut up? I had to go and pick you up from a bar, that's owned by your old fuck buddy."

"Nobody asked you to! And he isn't my fuck buddy it was one fucking time not that it's any of your business!"

I feel horrible for Justin who is driving and hearing this fight, but I was too enraged to really care.

"What? Just leave my girlfriend drunk at a bar she is too young to be at?"

"Yes, I was having a great fucking time until you showed up,"

I don't say anything, having to keep reminding myself that she is wasted and probably won't remember shit by tomorrow.

Once we get to her house, she mumbles her thanks before rushing out of the car clearly too intoxicated to even walk properly since she stumbles a few dozen times until she reaches the door.

When I tried to help her she didn't seem too eager with the idea, so I just stood close by, now I'm back in the car.

"I need to call Jake," I tell Justin he nods and puts the car in park since we might be here for quite a bit.

"What?" he asks as soon as he picks up.

Great brotherly bond we have, don't we?

"Ensleey's drunk she was at a bar," I tell him straight to the point.

"Shit I knew I should have been there today," he said, and I can hear the faint sound of rustling in the background.

"Why what happened?" I ask hoping to finally get answers.

"Nothing it's fine, I'll be there soon,"

"Jake I'm her boyfriend I think I should know too,"

"And I think that when she is ready she will tell you everything, it's not my place to say anything Ryver."

"How bad is it?"

"Really bad, to the point you can't imagine." He says and I don't get the chance to say anything before he hangs up.

"I can drop you off at home and come back," I say, turning my head to face Justin.

"Yeah sure," he says, luckily his house is only about ten minutes from Ensleeys so it won't' be long before I'm back.

"Be careful. Okay?" Justin asks once he is getting out of the car, "and call me if you need anything!"

"Yeah of course," I gave him a small forced smile, before reversing the car and going back to Ensleey.

I don't care that Ensleey had seemed keen on me not seeing her this way, I can't help the protectiveness that eases its way into me at every thought of her.

Hopefully, everything will be just fine.

But why do I feel like it won't?
