Yesterday Lauren and I spent the whole day talking with my sisters.

Today some of my family is going to start moving so that's fun.

I love my family and all, but some of them didn't even know I was gay. Now I'm engaged to a girl.

Right now Lauren and I are eating as the front door opens.

I look at the door.

My friends.

I get up and hug them.

"When we're you going to tell us you were getting married!?"Dinah exclaims.

"Soon,"

"You told the world before us?"Normani asks.

"In our defense we never know where you girls are. I thought you were on tour,"

"Whenever we don't have a show day we come back,"

"I'm happy for you Y/N. And Lauren if you ever hurt her... actually you've never hurt her so far so... just good luck trying to deal with her,"Ally says.

"Thanks Allz,"I roll my eyes.

"I took us four almost five years to get engaged. It took you like 8 months,"Lauren says.

"Well, we've known each other since we were 13. We've talked a few times over the years, we non stop texted each other-"Camila cuts me off.

"You've non stop talked about her,"

"You've non stop thought about her,"Normani adds.

I roll my eyes.

"We get it,"

I continue eating and they look at me.

"What you disturbed me. I need my food,"I say.

Once I finish I grab my dishes and Laurens dirty dishes and I wash them and put them on the drying rack.

"Wow you got her hooked if she's doing the dishes!"Dinah exclaims.

"Whatever D,"I say.

"You came to my house and didn't wash any of your dishes,"Dinah says.

"Yeah because I'm the guest. I'm not washing dishes at someone else house,"

"So if I go and dirty some dishes you'll wash them?"She asks.

"Dinah Jane. I swear,"I say and playfully glare at her.

Lauren wraps her arms around me.

"Hey so was the only reason you came over to yell at me because I didn't tell you we were engaged?"

They nod.

"Yeah we're going to see our families now,"They say.

"Bye,"

They all walk out and shut the door.

I sit on the couch and Lauren lays down with her head on my lap.

"I wish we could just sit here all day and have a day with each other. With my family that's not happening," Lauren sighs.

"Oh shit,"I groan.

"What?"Lauren asks.

"I forgot some of my family is probably going to come over today,"I say.

"What's so bad about that?"

"I love them and all, but not all of them know I'm a lesbian. Can we not tell them about our engagement for a while. I would love to tell them, but I don't know if all of them will accept this and I just need time,"I say.

Lauren grabs my hand and kisses it.

"That's fine. If you want to wait to tell them. We'll wait."

"Thank you Lauren,"I say.

She sits up and looks at me.

"It's only right. If I were to push you to tell them what type of fiancee would I be?"She asks.

"It's love you Lauren,"I say.

"I love you too,"She says.

She leans in and connects out lips in a soft kiss.

I reciprocate the kiss and she pushes me back.

She straddles my lap and connects out lips again.

I kiss her back and she strays away from my lips to my neck.

I tilt my head giving her more access.

She sucks on the skin and I moan.

The front door open and she jumps off of me.

I look at the door.

"Hola Tia Y Tio. Hi Melanie, hi Nathan"I say and roll my eyes.

"Hey Y/N. Clearly from what happened you found someone in a year. By the ring on your fingers your engaged. I'm happy for you,"Tia Chari says.

"Thanks Tia. You know you could've knocked,"I say.

"I was going to, but you and your parents always had the door open. Also I heard they moved when your sisters came back. I'm sorry Y/N,"

"It's fine Tia."

They all turn to Lauren.

Lauren gets up and puts her hand out.

She shakes hands with everyone.

"I'm Lauren. Y/N's fiancee,"She says.

"Is she treating you right? Or do I need to smack her? Because you are hot as hell,"Melanie says.

"Melanie. I already told you. If you want to get a girlfriend you can't hit on them if they're taken, and you have to be less a bitch,"

"I'm not a bitch. I just appreciate peoples' attractiveness,"

"Clearly you don't know where boundaries are! What if she's uncomfortable?"

"If she was uncomfortable she would've spoken up by now,"

"Melanie,go to car!"Tio Guillermo says.

She rolls her eyes.

"Whatever. She's just mad I've banged more hot people than her,"She says and turn to face the door.

"I haven't slept with hundreds of people because I'm not a slut like you!"

"Did you just call me slut!?"She turns around.

"Someone had to say it,"

"Well at least people find me more attractive,"

"Yeah. Eric did,"

"At least I didn't have a crush on the taken straight girl in school,"

"Well at least I didn't have to get tutored and taken care of like a baby at age 17 because I was to stupid to understand basic shit in life."

"Well at least I didn't go and date my best friends sibling,"

"You can't do that without having a friend,"

"Babe, I'm going to our room,"Lauren says.

"Okay Laur, I sorry about this,"I say and lean up to peck her lips.

She smiles then walks upstairs.

Once I hear our bedroom door shut I look at Melanie.

"Awe! Your fiancee can't even handle our arguments. How sensitive is she?"Melanie laughs.

"Melanie stop it this instant! Go wait in the car!"Tia yells.

"Whatever,"Melanie scoffs and walks out slamming the door behind her.

"We are happy for you. If you don't want Melanie around you we understand. For the wedding she can stay home if you want. I'm sorry she treats you like this,"Tia says.

"It's fine Tia. How did she turn out like this. Your guys are great parents. Everything you do for her and she turn out like this? You both are cops so it's kinda sad that she goes around drinking, smoking, vaping, having sex with stangers. It doesn't add up. Nathan is a straight A student. Best player on the baseball team. Is loyal to his girlfriend. Doesn't go to parties. They're polar opposites."I say.

"Anyway it was nice dropping by. We might come tomorrow or sometime next week. We still have to get stuff to the houses,"Tia says.

"Okay Tia Y Tio. It was nice seeing you guys."I say and hug them.

They walk out and as soon as the door shuts I walk upstairs to my room.

I knock on the door and Lauren sighs.

"It's opened,"She says.

I open the door slowly and then shut it behind me.

"Hey Lauren. I'm sorry about me and Melanie. We've always had this strong hatred towards each other and it's gotten worse over the few years. It all started when she stole my girlfriend a few years ago that it got worse. She turned my ex on me. My ex was a really good girl , but we both mutually lost feelings so we ended it. She made my ex think I cheated on her and slept with her sister. Since then every time Melanie and I see each other we argue. Sometimes for a few minutes, often for hours. Melanie is the relative I have problems with. Everyone else in my family I love them all. Melanie just knows how to get on your nerves then she goes way past it. We've never been I the same room alone. Not even as babies cause we fight. I know I should've told you about this earlier, but I didn't think anything of it. I'm sorry you had to listen to what we said. Lauren if she ever says anything that makes you uncomfortable you can just walk out of the room. You don't have to give me a warning. If you're uncomfortable do what you think would be for the best. I get that she's my family so you probably want to get to know her, and you can if you want. Keep your distance from her though. She has a history of disrespecting people boundaries. I'm really sorry Lauren. If there's anything I could do to make up for please tell me," I say and grab her hand.

She pulls me onto her.

I smile and connect our lips softly.

She reciprocates the kiss and after a few minutes I pull back for air.

"I want ice cream,"Lauren says.

"You want to go with me? We could explore,"I say and she nods.

I get off of her and grab my phone.

I put my shoes on and go downstairs.

Black vans, black ripped jeans, a black long sleeve, and a red flannel around my waist is what I'm wearing.

She grabs her keys and we walk outside.

"Are you sure you don't have any problems with any other family members?"Lauren asks grabbing my hand.

"Yes Lauren. I love every single one of them other than Melanie. We've hated each other since birth,"I say interlacing our fingers.

"Okay. It just scares me when you yell. You rarely get mad, but even when you get mad you don't really yell like that. It just scared me. I know you would never hurt me, but it still didn't prevent me from being scared,"She says.

I stop walking and Lauren faces me.

"Hey Lauren. I'm sorry I scared you. That was never my intention. And yeah. I would never be able to even think about hurting you. Physically, metally, or emotionally. You know that's the last thing I would ever want to do. I can try to control my anger when it comes to her, but I don't know if I can. I promise I will try. I don't ever want you to feel scared of me. Next time you feel scared by me or anyone. You can just walk away if you want to, you can do whatever you want. Even if you have to come up to me and tell me that I'm scaring you. I'm sorry for making you feel scared Lauren,"I say and she pecks my lips.

"It's fine. I know you didn't try to,"She say and we get in her car.

She drives to an ice cream shop and when she parks she takes the keys out of the ignition and leans over.

I smile and she connects our lips.

I reciprocate the kiss but then pull back.

She pecks my lips one more time before we get out.

She locks the car and puts her keys in her pocket.

I walk to her and slip my hand in hers, interlacing our fingers.

A few of my family members ended up crashing at our place. Fun I know.

My cousin Sarah and her kids, Noah and Jacob and her husband. I forgot his name I don't talk to him much.

My Tia Rocio and her husband Tio Chino.

And last my Tia Martha, Tio Pancho, my cousins Alex, Angel, and Jr.

I get up and kiss Laurens grab a white shirt, light blue shorts, a black belt, white socks, one of Laurens hoodies, and white converse.

I grab my phone sit on the bed waiting for my hair to dry.

I feel Lauren stir in her sleep and wrap her arms around me.

I smile and out my phone down, wrapping my legs around her.

She rests her head on my chest and slowly opens her eyes.

"Good morning babe,"I say and kiss her head.

"Morning princess,"She sighs.

"I have to go shower. I'll be back,"She says and gets up.

After Lauren showers she walks back out in this.

She already dried her hair and put light make up on whatever hickeys are left on her.

"Go dry your hair. I'm hungry,"Lauren says looking in the mirror.

"Having wet hair gives me a reason to stay in bed,"I say and she rolls her eyes and climbs on the bed.

"But I'm hungry and there's people downstairs,"She pouts.

"Fine,"I say and walk to the bathroom.

After drying my hair I leave it down and walk back into the room.

"Can we go downstairs now?"Lauren asks.

"Yeah,"

I walk over to her and peck her lips.

I start walking to the door and Lauren runs up to me and jumps on my back.

I instantly hold her up and walk down stairs.

I didn't get a chance to talk to anyone yesterday because they got here pretty late and the girls kept calling us about their upcoming tour.

I walk into the living room and everyone gets up.

Lauren gets off of my back.

I hug everyone.

"Guys this is Lauren. Lauren this is Alex, Jr, Angel, my Tia Martha, Tio Pancho, Tio Chino, Sarah, Noah, Jacob, and Jeremy,"I say remember his name last second and pointing to everyone.

I remember Tia Martha and Tio Pancho don't know I'm gay so I take of my ring and put it in my pocket.

Lauren looks at me.

"They don't know,"I mouth.

She takes her ring off and puts it in her pocket.

Everyone say hi to Lauren and she grabs my hand pulling me outside.

"How many more family members do you have?"She asks as I shut the door.

"A lot,"

She starts running her hand through her hair, which she does when she's stressed or something.

I grab her hands.

"What's wrong Laur?"I ask.

"What if some of them don't like me? What if they think I'm not good enough for you? What if they hate me?"

I cup her face making her look in my eyes.

"Lauren. I promise you that nobody in my family will hate you, but if anyone does that's their loss. Lauren you are perfect, my family rarely hates people, I don't think they'll hate you. The only thing my family has wanted for me was to be happy. Lauren you make me happy. They won't hate you."I say and she leans in.

I connect our lips and she kisses me back.

She pulls me closer then I pull away.

She pecks my lips and we walk back inside.

"Lauren. I'm going to talk to my Tia and Tio. I'll be back okay,"I say and she smiles.

I know you wondering how they haven't noticed that we're together when we live together, but most of my cousins moved in with their best friends after college or high school so they don't suspect anything about me and Lauren right now.

"Hey Tia Martha, Tio Pancho can I talk to you private?"I ask, fiddling with hair tie on my wrist.

"Yeah of course,"

I walk I to the kitchen and they follow me.

They sit down and I pace back and forth.

"Do you accept gay people?"I ask.

"Of course they're humans. They love who they love. Love has no gender,"Tia says.

"How would you feel if someone in the family was in love with someone of the same gender?"

"It wouldn't matter. We'd still treat you same. Your preference doesn't change how much we love you,"Tio says.

"I'm a lesbian. I'm engaged to Lauren,"I say looking down.

"Yay no boys!"Tia exclaims.

"We accept you Y/N. Nothing could change that,"

I hug them.

"But now we want to sit down with Lauren, and have a conversation with her,"Tio says.

"I'll get her,"I say.

I walk to the living room.

"Laur. Can you come here?"

She nods and walks over to me.

"How did they take it?"She asks.

"They are perfectly fine with it. They want to talk to you now though,"I say.

"Okay,"

We walk back I to the room and we sit down.

"How long have you known each other?"Tia asks.

"5 years, almost 6,"Lauren answers.

"Tia you remember when I told you about that one girl years ago when I fell off my skateboard and she made me feel safer than anyone has made me feel?"I ask.

"Yeah,"

"That girl was Lauren ,"

"Oh!"

"Here's the real question. If someone were to take Y/N hostage for some reason. Would you give yourself to take her position or would you let her die?"Tio asks.

"Tio!"

"It's fine. And yes. Without thinking twice. I wouldn't be able to live with myself and I knew I could've saved her. I love her and I wouldn't want to go through this life without her,"

"How would you feel if Y/N had to move far away in the future because of a job or something?"

"I can't stop her. If she wanted to move who am I to stop her?"

After they question Lauren I decide to help them move some stuff to the other house since the girls are recording a song today and it usually takes a while since they mess around a lot.

"So Lauren?"Alex asks.

"What about Lauren?"I question.

"Is she the girl you texted me 24/7 about? Cause from the description you sent me before matches up pretty good to Lauren,"

I put my hood up and nod.

"Awe! You've loved her for years!"

"Shut up,"I say and go on my phone and Lauren calls me.

I answer and smack Alex as she tries taking my phone.

I put the phone up to my ear.

"Hey Laur,"I say.

"Hey princess. My parents were wondering if your family wanted to come over for dinner today. Since they probably don't have food at the house,"

I put the phone down.

"Do you guys want to go to Laurens parents house for dinner?"I ask and they nod.

I bring the phone back up.

"They said yes."

"Alright. It's my turn to record I'll see you for dinner. I love you,"

"I love you too,"

She hangs up and I put my phone it the pocket of Laurens hoodie.

"So we get to meet her family today?"Alex asks.

I nod.

"Yeah that's why we're having dinner with them,"

I walk into the cimorelli household and Lauren hugs me.

"I missed you,"

"I missed you too,"

She pecks my lips.

"Not even Nick and Christina are like this after a tour,"Lisa says.

"And? I think I might have missed the point here,"I say.

Lauren smacks my arm.

"Be nice,"

I nod and she smiles.

Everyone introduces themselves.

Melanie didn't come because I told her if she goes near any of the cimorellis with a bad intention I won't hesitate to do anything. So she stayed at the house.

Alex and Amy are talking a lot, they have a lot in common. Addison is probably with Lisa in her room. The twins are talking to Kath and Chris. And my aunts and uncles are engaging in conversations with Lauren parents. Jr., Angel, Noah, Jacob, and Jeremy are talking with Laurens brothers.

Sarah is helping the other adults cook.

Lauren sits on the couch and I lay down next her, leaning my head on her shoulder. She wraps her arm around me and I smile.

"How did recording go?"I ask.

"It didn't take as long as it usually does. So that was a plus, but in between recording I saw our sisters making out. I threw water on them and they got pissed,"Lauren says.

"How was your day?"She asks.

"Stressful. It didn't take us that long to decorate our room and the rest of the house, but when it came to my family it took hours on one room. And helped everyone. I'm tired now,"I say.

She gets up and my head falls making me groan as I get back up.

She laughs.

'Take a nap. I'll be back,"She says.
