When I finally woke again I felt my neck and my arms all of my cuts were healed.
"S-Shadow?"
"Oh my god, Sonic you're awake."
"H-How long was I out for?"
"2 weeks."
"I should be dead."
"No, you shouldn't be."
"I let Tails die I let Silver die I am useless I'm pathetic I don't deserve to live."
"Yeah, we heard about Silver his funeral is tomorrow."
I thought he was going to speak of Tails's funeral but he didn't mention a thing.
"W-What about T-Tails's...."
"What about me?"
When I heard his voice my eyes widen and I felt tears running down my face and down to my chest.
"T-Tails?"
"Hey, Sonicku."
Tails hugged me gently.
"B-But they s-said you were..."
"Sonicku I was in a coma."
I thought to myself thank god.
"Sonicku did you do this to yourself thinking I was dead?"
"Y-Yes."
Tails started to cry. I wrapped my arms around him gently and whispered in his ear.
"Tailsy I am not going anywhere. I love you."
Tails kissed me with his tears still running down his face and now down to his chest.
"I l-love y-you to s-sonicku."
Tails hugged me one last time before he had to go.
"I'll see you at home hun."
"Okay."
I laid there in the bed happy then a thought hit me. Wait did he just call me hun!?
I spent the next 4 hours healing and when I was finally was able to be sent home I was welcomed home by all of my friends but Silver...
"Hey guys."
Tails hugged me tightly and nuzzled into my chest.
"Awww."
"Shut up Amy."
Amy laughed at that.

I was just finally happy to be home.
"Hey so is everybody ready for tomorrow?"
"Yeah."
Shadow was standing there with his arms crossed.
"Sorta."
Amy shrugged and looked down sadly. But Shadow walked up behind her and hugged her tightly.
"Awww."
"Shut up Sonic."
I chuckled at that.
"I just can't believe he is gone."
"I know Blaze. Did anyone ever figure out why he did it?"
Everyone had the same answer.
"No."
Then I remembered that Silver gave me this letter.
"Silver gave me this and said to never open it until a very tragic day I think this is what he meant."
So I opened the letter and started to read.
" Dear Everyone
I hope my death didn't cause anyone any pain. If it did I am truly sorry but if you find me hung I didn't do it I would never kill myself. I have too much to live for I have blaze I have our son Roy to live for. I would never do this to myself. So if you find me dead it is because there was some foul play so please I beg of you for me find my killer.
Your Friend,
Silver."
Everyone looked at me and tried to think who and why would someone kill Silver.
"Why would someone do this?"
"There is an unlimited amount of reasons."
"Such as?"
"Revenge, Jealousy, The spite of just doing it... The list is endless."
"But we need to find out who did this who had the capability to kill Silver?"
"Maybe if we go to the funeral tomorrow we may find the killer there."
"Good idea but for now let's just rest easy knowing that we could change this we could avenge Silver."

So everyone went home to try to figure out why and who would kill Silver. But I was bound to focus on my love.
"Hey, Tails you alright."
"Yeah, I'm good."
Tails giggled and blushed and I blushed too.
"Sonic we have been together for 3 months now and I have been thinking."
"Yeah Tails?"
Tails got down on one knee.
"Sonic will you marry me?"
I gasped and tears started to fill my eyes.
"YES, TAILS YES!!!"
Tails kissed me and slipped the ring on my finger and we kissed lovingly. I was so happy that Tails asked me to marry him.
"I had a feeling you would say yes hun."
Then two and two clicked together early back at the hospital he was trying to tell me that he was going to propose to me. But for now, we needed some sleep and to prepare for the hard day tomorrow.

Scorched - The Winter Winds (LitRPG)
Frank Ebner once wanted to save the world. Let the second one be better than the first. On Earth he was a student of... well it hardly matters anymore. It was dying, and he and the rest of his fellows and friends studying how to stave off the end graduated just in time to be told it was too late. That there was not enough time, funds, will, to stop it anymore. That the governments and the worthies of the world had moved from trying to stop it, to surviving the oncoming apocalypse, while blaming each other. That was a world Frank wanted nothing to do with. One riven by wars for places in the Archologies going up, and between them and the dying world they were leaving behind. So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Patrons are scarce among those like Frank, with only the base Hero perks, and magic studies expensive and lengthy. Often requiring heavy Oaths to gain the necessary aid to wield mana as a mage. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates. So Scorched should update most days, muse willing. She's fickle, sometimes. Not every day, but most. If there's an update for the day, it will be at 7PM, GMT+2. *[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Actually completed it. :) *

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
