《Blind Truth Book 1 [TinCan Au]》CHAPTER 5 : SORRY

"Ai'No and I used to be good friends since sophomore year." Tin started his story, as they both sat on Can's bed. "We used to hang out and be spend a lot of time together."
Can listened intently, while Tin's hands fidget as he recalls what happened. "One day, we were on a beach trip with Ai'Ae, Ai'Nic and Ai'Kla..? "The Devils" Can mumbled. "What?!" Tin reacted. "Nothing. Please continue." Can smirked. "So yeah, we were on a beach trip together. We were enjoying the night, and then out of nowhere, Ai'No confessed that he has feelings for me." Tin paused. "Ai'No had feelings for you?" Can exclaimed. "Yeah. That's what he told me." Tin answered. "So, what happened after?"
"I was surprised, of course. Because he was my friend, and we were super close. I didn't know how to react to him that time. So, I walked out on him."
Tin's hands clung to the sides of his pants, pulling it into a tight fist.
"I didn't speak to him for a week." Tin was suddenly lost for words.
"And then?' Can tried easing him in by reaching his hand to him, and rubbing his shoulder ever so gently.
"Then I became such an ass." Tin took a long pause. "During my birthday that year, Ai'Ae threw me a huge party at his dad's beach resort, with almost half the whole school in attendance. I got super drunk that night, and I kinda announced over microphone that Ai'No is gay and that he confessed to me and that I rejected him." Can could feel the deep regret on Tin's voice.
"I was such an asshole. I didn't really know why I did that. I just knew that I did. The next day. Ai'No, who wasn't even at the party, became the school's laughing stock and was bullied for months about it:'

Tin let out a deep sigh. "So that's why." There a brief moment of silence between them. "Have you ever tried to apologize to him?' Can asked. Tin replied. "Only because he won't talk to me" "He won't talk to you or you won't talk to him?" Can argued. "I wanted to, but I just can't" Tin answered back. "I really regret doing it, Can. To be honest with you, I really do. But I just don't know how to undo it."
"You don't need to undo it. You just have to make it right now that it's done' CAN now holds Tin's hand. "I know Ai'No and he is a genuinely kind person. I'm sure you also know it; you were close friends. And that incident happened two years ago. I'm sure he's moved on from it. He's probably just waiting for your apology."
"I don't know... I really don't know..." Tin hesitated. "Do you want me to help you with it?" Can asked. "I don't know" Tin replied. "I'll set you up to meet here Tomorrow after class." Can said. "I don't fucking know if I can do it " Tin replied. "He can just fucking hate me for the rest of his life, I don't care" His fist tightens again.
"No, Tin. Thais not the right dung to do" CAN calmed him down. "You have scarred him for life. Nobody deserves to be outed without their permission, let alone be ridiculed about it. What he shared with you, was very personal. And it must have took him all his courage and strength to be able to confess to you and you not only ignored him, but you made fun of his feelings." He rubs Tin's hand ever so gently.

"All I am saying is, just say sorry to him. You don't need to explain your side." Can added "I promise, once you're done with it regardless if Ai'No accepts your apology or not you will feel so so much better."
Tin lets out another deep sigh, his head still bowed down.
"I'll have him over and ask him to hear you out once and for all."
Can's Plan
The next day, Tin did not go to school. Anxious and nervous about Can's plan. He wanted to back out many times, but he could just not let Can down.
Afternoon came and he was already secretly at Can's room, using the keys Can gave him.
Now he waits for Ai'No and Can to arrive
"What is going on?" Ai'No asked Can upon seeing Tin was also inside his room.
"Please. Have a seat." Can pat the space beside him on his bed. Tin sat on the couch silent, nervous and a little uneasy.
Ai'No, gave Can a dubious look, before sitting beside him. Can put his arms around Ai'No's before he could even decide to leave.
"Tin, wants to tell you something." Can started. "Just hear him out for one sec."
Ai'No gave that "what now" look to Tin. Tin cleared his throat before speaking. "Uhm... I just.." Tin started to get nervously. "I wanted to say sorry." There was a long moment of silence.
"Sorry, tor embarrassing and outing you that night on my birthday. I'm sorry I stopped talking to you since then. I'm sorry I stopped being your friend" His head bowed down. he could not take at Ai'No in the eyes.
"That's all?" Ai'No asked, surprised by Tin's words and humble action.
"I'm sorry I disregarded your feelings. I hope you can forgive me." Tin added. "Seriously Tin, after all these years" Ai'No answered, "I cannot believe you!" He cupped his face with his palm
"I said I'm fucking sorry!" Tin exclaimed "I am. If you don't want my apology then that's fine, I'm trying to fucking change here, you know."
"Wow, it took you two years to finally realize what you did to me was wrong, and it only took you now to have the courage to apologize!" Ai'No almost on the verge of shouting. Can rubs his back to ease him.
"I know! That's why I am fucking sorry! What do you want me to do?" Taft exclaimed, tears brimming on the side of his eyes.
"Whose plan is this?" Ai'No asked. Can raised his hand. Then there was a long silence once again Ai'No stood up. Can tried holding him back, but he shrugged away. "Okay. I accept your apology:' Ai'No said, but looking away. "You're a fucking asshole Tin, and you know that! But promise me one thing"
"Anything!" Tin answered back.
"Promise me you'll never hurt anyone else ever again, like how you hurt my feelings before," Ai'No said "Or else, I will be the one to personally hand you over to hell. Signed, sealed and delivered"
Tin tweeted.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

This is the story of Wesley's adventuring party as they do their best to get him to fulfull his destiny.
