After a tiring day Can update N'Lay what happens today

The next day, Techno was still absent, his stomach flu has seemed to have gotten worse. Can promise to visit him at home over the weekend. It's Friday and everyone was all ready and excited to go home. Their final period teacher had a meeting to attend to so their class was just instructed to wait inside their room until dismissal. While everyone else was all noisy and rowdy, Can listen to an e-book silently on his chair, both his hands tucked under his thighs. He was so lost into what he was listening to that he did not notice the dismissal bell rang. He was startled by Tin, grabbing his backpack and shoving his things in it. "Hey. What, what are you doing?" Can called, clueless who was taking his things. "Come on, I'll walk you home before it even rains." Tin uttered, as he closes Can's bag and hangs it over his shoulder. Can want to refuse Tin's offer but he thought it would be harder if he would argue with him. They started walking together again, this time some of the other students didn't mind anymore. Can was completely silent on the way. When they were almost at Can's dorm, it suddenly rained hard, and Tin had no other choice but to come inside for shelter and let the rain pass. Can's room was at the first unit to the right side, when you enter the dorm building. It's a rather simple and boring facility, with no lobby and reception area for visitors. As soon as you open the main door, it is but a straight hallway with lined-up doors on both sides. Can open his room, and took off his shoes as he entered. "Would you like to come in?" He asked Tin. At first Tin hesitated but knowing there's nowhere for him to stay outside, he took off his boots and entered Can's small dorm apartment. When you open the door, a small wooden study immediately greets you. It has a small lamp on one side and a fluffy white rug underneath the chair. To the right of the wall are the closet and a useless mirror. To the left side of the room is his bed. Simple, nothing fancy, as it sits just below the rectangular window pane. Across it is a small two-seater couch, just beside the door to the toilet and bath.

Can take off his jacket uniform and put it carefully behind his study chair. He carefully makes his way to his bed and asked Tin to have a seat. Tin sat on the couch, and put his and CAN's backpack on the side. His eyes traveled the whole of the small room. It is small but it looks spacious. Maybe because he didn't have too much stuff and furniture in it. The whole place is as simple as it can get. White-painted walls, no decorations, posters nor picture frames, the only details you would see are the flaking splatter of gold paint on the closet door. But then he realized, what are the use of decors and pictures in it for Can anyway. The silence between them is blanketed by the noise of the heavy rainfall and thunder outside. "Have you always been blind?" Tin finally spoke. "Yeah, since I can remember." Can answered, giving Tin a half-smile. "Since birth?" Tin asked curiously. "I don't know. I am not sure." Can replied. He took one pillow and put it in his lap. "You didn't ask your parents?' Tin asked again. He can't help his growing curiosity about his classmate. "My real parents are dead already." Can answered, his tone suddenly shifted somberly. "My family now isn't really my biological family. They adopted me when I was 4, when both my parents died in a boat accident." "I'm sorry." Tin suddenly felt bad that he asked. "No, don't be. That was a long time ago. Besides I am loved and cherished by my family now. They treat me as their own. You don't need to be sorry about it." Can assured Tin. Then there was a long awkward silence again. Tin wanted to talk to Can, but also he didn't really want to. He just feels so intrigued and fascinated by Can, not just because he is blind but because of how he is as a person. "Do you ever wish you were able to see?" Tin could not stop staring at Can's eyes.

"Of course," Can answer. "But sometimes I feel like it is also better being blind. Because people tend always to judge everything too easily just based on what they see, and most often than not, they are wrong." Then a loud thunder suddenly erupted, making both flinch from where they were sitting. The two realized their reaction and just burst into laughter. "You know what, I think I gotta go." Tin said as he stood up from the couch. Picking his backpack from the side. "At least take my umbrella, so you won't get too wet. It's inside my closet, just get it there." Can point at where his closet is. "You can return it to me at school on Monday." Tin took Can's umbrella from his closet and headed to the door. He puts on his boots before leaving. "Thanks for walking me home again today." Can uttered. He didn't hear Tin answer, all he heard was the door closing and his footsteps on the wooden floor walking away. Outside, Tin was smiling. He tucked Can's umbrella under his jacket and took off and braved the heavy rain.

After leaving Can's dorm a sudden message pop-out on Tin's iPhone Screen a message from one of his friend ;

When he was on his way to his dorm he noticed that his car is nowhere to be found

The weekend came; Lay paid Can a surprise visit for two days. Can not have been happier being with her N'Lay and brought him food that was their mom cooked, and even more, groceries to stock in his cupboard.

On Saturday, Can bring her sister with him to visit Techno at the hospital.

On Sunday night N'Lay said goodbye to Can and traveled back to Chiang Mai. She left his little brother some extra money so he can go out for ice cream with Techno when they have free time.

It's their vacant time at school right after their PE class, Can and Techno decided to hang out at the school grounds to get some fresh air and kill time before dismissal. They sat under the shade of a big birch tree, Can lost in his thoughts as Techno blabbered non-stop about his favorite anime. "Techno..." Can blurted out of nowhere. "How does Tin look like?" Techno was surprised by Can's question. At first, he hesitated to answer but he saw how Can eagerly anticipates his reply.

"Well, he's quite alright. He's about as tall as you, not too skinny but not fat at all. He has blonde hair and a very big boxy smile---not that he often smiles though. He rarely does." Techno answered. "He is quite handsome, to be honest with you. And I am setting aside my total hatred for that devil, FYI. Why did you ask anyway?" "Nothing." Can replied. "I'm just curious." The bell rings and the school grounds and corridors became crowded again. "Speaking of the devil." Techno murmured as soon as he saw Tin approaching.

Tin walked towards them, automatically picking up Can's backpack and helping him to stand up from the ground. "Let's go." He told Can. Techno was clueless with what's happening. "Let's go. Techno." Can told Techno, who was still speechless of what was going on. "Tin has been walking me home since you were absent." Can explained. "And now that you're back, we can all walk together." "I'm sorry Can, I am not going to walk with him, anywhere," Techno told Can. "Suit yourself." Tin said nonchalantly. "Please, Techno. He's just doing his job as my student guide. Walk with us, even just up to the 2nd street." Can beg Techno. Who could say no to Can's charm anyway?

Tin and Can soon reached the latter's dorm. Tin handed Ca his backpack and was ready to leave when Can asked him if he would like to come into his place. As soon as they got inside Can's room, Can remove his uniform jacket and took off his sweaty shirt. Tin sat on the small couch and watched Can change clothes casually in front of him. He could see Can's impressive physical built. His well-defined shoulders and arms, his perky chest and chiseled abs. It's hard to believe that a shy introverted blind boy is this ripped and sexy.

As soon as Can was done changing, he sat on his bed comfortably. "Can I ask you something?" Can speak. "Why is Techno so mad at you?" "Why don't you ask him?" Tin answered. "He won't tell me." Can sighed. "Are you always like this?" He asked again. "What do you mean?" Tin replied. "l mean, you... Are you always that arrogant and rude?" Can asked. "Did you invite me in just to call me arrogant and rude?" Tin quipped. Can smiled. "There's a cup of instant ramen at my cupboard to the left, and the electric kettle as well. I've been hearing your stomach growling the whole way going here." Tin hasn't eaten since yesterday.

Since his allowances and source of finances were all cut off, he was basically as broke as a rat. He was staying in with his friend Ai'Nic at the moment. And he knew too well that Ai'Nic doesn't even have much for himself so he doesn't bother him with his needs. "I'm all good." Tin answered.

Can stood up and went to prepare the noodles himself. Tin wanted to just bolt out of the room but there's something about watching Can move in a very careful gentle manner while doing things. How he carefully filled the kettle with water, and how he plugs it in the electric outlet. How he gently rings his fingers around the brim of the cup noodles to locate its opening lid and gently lifting it so it comes off in one piece.

How he so carefully pours in the hot boiling water in while his other hand touches the embossed line marking inside where the amount of water should stop, instantly pulling it away as soon as the water hits his finger. He's is blind but he sure is not helpless, he thought to himself.

Can put the cup of noodles in front of Tin, along with a pair of wooden chopsticks and a tall glass of water. "Eat first before you leave." Can insisted, as he went back to sit in his bed, holding banana milk on one hand and a round custard bun on the other. "Do people still drink that?" Tin grinned upon seeing Can's choice of drink. "l do." Can replied. "This is my most favorite drink in the world. I don't know why, but the taste just gives me a different kind of feeling---it's like it brings me back to my childhood. It's like nostalgia in a box." He smiled. He opened the packaging of his bread and split the bun into two.

"Here, have some. I like combining spicy ramen with a little sweet-tasting bread. Try it, it's really good." Tin reached out for the bread on Can's hand. It is good, he thought. The two proceeded to eat and finish their food quietly. "Thank you..." Can spoke as Tin was about to leave. "...for walking me home again." "Thanks for the food." Tin answered. Can did not expect him to reply, but he was happy he did. He gave him a shy smile. "l am not as bad as everyone thinks I am." Tin added, as he put on his shoes. "l know..." Can replied. "l couldn't see, remember?"

The week went by swiftly, with Tin walking Can home every day after school; and spending time together at Can little room, usually eating. Tin still is his snappy, nonchalant and closed-off self, but is slowly easing in to Can a bit more and being more comfortable w/ him.

Can, on the other hand, felt more and more intrigued by Tin. His fence is so hard to climb his walls so hard to crack. But little by little, he learns more about Tin. And slowly he understands where all his angst is coming from A rebel child lacking in family affection.

It was Friday and as usual, everyone was excited to go home. The rainy weather didn't wash down everyone's excitement to finally end the school week. Can was feeling a little under the weather, and was having a very bad cold. While on their way home, Tin took off his jacket and put it over Can's shoulder, then proceeded to walk again without saying anything. When they reached Can's apartment, Can went straight to lie down on the bed.Tin went on to boil some water and prepare some noodles for both of them. While they ate, Tin was intently observing Can.

His soft sneezes and constant shaking worried him. As soon as they finished, Tin just walked out and left without saying anything. Can was not able to thank him again. He went back to lie down in his bed facing the door, while he put his headphones on and listened to some music.

The fourth song ended and Can remembered he was still wearing Tin's jacket. He took it off his body and clutched it on both his hands. He puts it closer to his nose and took a long deep whiff of what's left of Tin's scent. That uncanny sweet scent of a man's flesh who just came out of the shower. It smelled like mild soap.

He liked it a lot. Then he pulled Tin's jacket close to the chest. He caressed like a cute little plushie. He hugs the jacket ever so tightly. Succumbing into a fetal position in bed, like a helpless child yearning for affection. The song played on in his ears as his mind imagines how Tin's touch and embrace would feel like. Tin stood speechless and frozen at the door, watching Can. He was panting and catching his breath, having to run to the nearest pharmacy to buy him medicine. A lopsided smile appeared on his lips while tears brimmed on the corner of his eyes.

For the past few days, they've been hanging out in his room, Can has developed a growing fondness for Tin. His manner of speaking, although he doesn't engage in talking that much. His sudden burst of angst and hot-hotheadedness, he thinks is very cute. His small demeanor towards him, like how Tin would wrap his arms around him when they cross the road, or how he let him borrow his jacket when it is raining.

His scent always reminds him of fresh spring mornings in a garden full of lavender and lilac. Tin has this incredible effect on him that makes him feel secure. That in this new that he is in, he felt protected. He felt safe with him.

Although Can couldn't see, all his other senses agree. That Tin isn't the devil that people see him be.
