As Tin sat on the sofa uncomfortably without Can in sight before his father, he made the satisfying sound of the pen gliding against the smooth paper which held the words of his internship. With lips clicking under the constant watch of his parents, he had found it excruciating. He could've even take a glimpse at his parents because of the fiddly tension in the room. Trai had asked Can a small favor to wait outside along with his grandfather, and rather abruptly, Can actually obeyed what he had asked.
Unlike his curious personality, with piercing questions one by one, he didn't asked them. And his absence made Tin want to go back.
There was nothing wrong with the sitting room, it was the eerie problem the two sons of the Medthanan couple had caused. And the discussions among the servants became constant about the sudden arrival of Tin without them being informed. Usually, when he would come back in the mansion, the servants were informed for the usual work of making his food, ironing his clothes, and taking care of his stuff.
The headwoman of the kitchen would go especially in his room to ask about his three meals, and when everyone turned to look at her. She raised her hands with a big no. When they had tried to give drinks to the old man and his child-like grandson, they had forbid in return.
'It's okay, we're very well hydrated..' He said back in return, while Can nodded behind him.
The servant further asked about Tin which the old man cut him off and replied, 'I can't tell you that, my apologies.' And with that he went back with the drinks helplessly, telling the others that the situation going on was very unnatural. The last time it had happened was when the false drug scandal of Tin had exposed. It had left everyone horrified because their young master didn't behaved anything absurd. Which left them always unanswered and curious.
'Hey!' The head of the servants spoke,
'What?' One of them with a very white beard said. The head in return rolled his eyes and he signaled them to go along their work. But none understood his unclear hand signs. He gritted his teeth upon the stupid reaction of his fellows.
Been working since years for the Medthanan, he only had professional relations with everyone. Looking into the works of other servants and guiding them was his job. But there were a lot of times where they wouldn't obey his order, and he never complained about that to his master. As a head, he understood their problems and their worries, and never pushed them. But, he would always remind them to not meddle into other's business. Which was what they were doing at the moment.
'Why can't you be gone and mind your own business?' He spoke with his hard voice, 'Sometimes, ignorance is a bliss..'
'Just be gone.' One of them replied, and the man left them. Glancing from the posh kitchen to the outdoors, the observed the two new people discussing breathlessly.

Rasaa sitting beside Tin had stopped sobbing for a little time, peeking into the papers in the latter's hand even though knowing the exact words by heart. She and Trai gave him a whole half and hour to read and reread the file thoroughly, because at the end she didn't wanted to be the mother who had been ignorant to her child. Her dark circles were clear, indicating that she was lacking sleep and had constant crying. She smiled uncontrollably every now and then at the sight of focused Tin with her legs crossed gratifyingly. Tin glanced at her for the unusual behaviour and left out an uneasy smile. As long as he could recall, this was one of the few times his mother was analyzing him. And he found it very eerie.

'Do you need any water?'
Tin asked out of generosity, she smiled even wider than before, with her lips closed back genuinely at this. She felt at ease like this. And if this was a dream, she wouldn't want to wake up ever.
'Oh no, I'm fine..' She replied. Glancing back at Trai as Tin fixed his gaze back into the heavy weight of papers. Trai nodded at her in response. Yes, Tin was very bad at acting.
'Have you read the papers, Tin?' Trai asked, sitting opposite of him. His legs crossed professionally, with his hands folded. He knew that Tin had finished reading the papers long ago, he just didn't want to make a contact with him. With his reading abilities and grasping things swiftly, Trai had at least known a bit of this. There were a lot of his expectations from Tin after Tul. Of course, if Tin had wished for another profession, he wouldn't be disappointed to let him go. But it was fortunate, that Tin was following his footsteps.
'Yes..,' Tin replied, blinking endlessly in discomfort. 'But I'd like to complete my studies first.'
'Of course, you can. We don't mind!' Both the parents said together breathlessly, laughing to release the tension in the room. But Tin in return again gave a forceful smile.
They both went silent slowing along their laugh. Sitting with their posture tight, Trai spoke, 'Tin..'
Tin diverted his gaze from the luxurious design of the carpet to the black pupils of his father's. He nodded as a signal for him to continue, he knew what he was going to say anyway.
'Listen, please. We are deeply sorry for our actions. Please forgive us, son. We've disappointed you, we know. But however, we shall make amends by attending to you both. I've been a bad parent and I'm horrifyingly sorry, so is your mother-' Trai took a gap to glance at his wife, '-But please for the last time, forgive your brother.'
Tin nodded yet again at the genuine apology. The parents glanced at one another at this response. He didn't faced his father, but had his attention on the carpet yet again. As his face turned sour upon recalling the times of his suffering. Oh, how much he had caused trouble for Can and his family. How much he had felt guilty for being the obstacle for everyone, and how his lover reassured him that he was very much wanted. And the way he cried for a millionth time in happiness, because it felt too good to be true. It felt so fictitious and fulfilling.
He had heard the apology clearly. It was lingering in his mind like a mantra.
"Forgive him?"
Tin asked himself.
"Why? I shall never face him than forgive."
Yet again, the thoughts of his brother brought him back the memories where he would play with him. How he would teach him letters, and feed him with small spoons as he recited him stories. He remembers being taught riding a bicycle, and not being appreciated by his parents. It was after all his brother who had taught him that, and thus was admired by him too. But it was so long gone. Their lovely relationship was destroyed by a betray. And it was unforgiveable. Yes, it was so long.
He blinked slowly and brought his gaze to his unanswered father.
'I-It's just not about me, you see.. I've chosen my side. I'm not the only one affected, and wouldn't keep quiet if Can or his family is stressed. It's not that I'm implying that this would happen again.., I'm just letting this one go like others. I'm giving a brief idea that I wouldn't think twice later. And I need time to think..'

He stated clearly, his eyebrows furrowing. It wasn't that he was disappointed in their apology, he didn't needed them to apologize either. Because it was so long he had felt warm and wanted before Can met him, that it didn't made sense to him anymore.
The people nodded in agreement and thus the room lit up again. It was way easier to breathe now, as the air pushed in against their pale skin of constant despair of a person's absence. As they laughed silently like mature adults yet immature behaviour. And Rassa couldn't stop kissing and coddling Tin, and Trai could stop talking about his internship. It made Tin eerily happy. They had their talks quietly as the two persons waited outside. And what it seemed was like a real parent- child talk.
'I've made some arrangement of your apartment, Tin. It's the same where you lived, but it's different flat.' Trai spoke before Tin left the room happily and merrily. Tin agreed to it, fully knowing that Can wouldn't deny his request. 'I shall look forward to it, thank you dad.'
That "dad" warmed Trai's heart. It wasn't the first time Tin had called him that. But it was the gratifying feeling of merriness that melted his heart. He smiled as Tin went through the solid massive doors, emitting nothing but charm. It was so swift how he was a small boy and now as he was a grown up into a man all on his own. He felt nothing but proud. He is his son, and that made him very proud.
________
'So what did he ask?'
Can interrogated him all along on their way to the garden of the house. As they sat on one of the benches to talk about the discussion happened a few minutes ago. Grandfather was asked specially by the elder master to stay with him. So that they could interact. The old man gladly agreed and went with him. Of course, regarding his health, he looked quite young to be very old. Can had already suspected him to start ranting about Tul and his past stories. Of course, lecturing people and correcting them was one of his hobbies. But his lectures were always fun.
'I'll tell you when then time comes..' Tin carcasses Can's soft locks, feeling his soft hair and scalp. As the small latter frowned while pouting. Absolutely looking like a baby.
'C'mon, Tin. I'm not a child. You sound like my mother now...'
Tin chuckled in response. How can he satisfy him with an appropriate answer so that his innocent brain can understand. His brain thought recalling the small happiness he had got before to answer him.
'Hm... I got my internship, if that satisfies you..'
'Hey, hey you're not gonna start working right?' Can breathed out fast. He didn't mind Tin choosing to work at the moment, but he thought he'd consider about his school work and assignments, and besides, he had missed a ton of his classes. Which would unlike him, surely affect Tin.
'Haha, no. I'm not going to start working until I graduate, I've missed a lot of my school work. I had talked with Pete, the professor seemed to give a lot of assignments while we were away... What about yours'? Have you asked anyone?'
Can sniggered before answering. Yes, he remembers calling Good for assignments and projects and notes, but the way he spoke was so low and soft, it was beyond Can's opposite loud and fast personality. In the end, without understanding anything, he shut him off saying that he would know once he gets there.
'Well, I did asked my friend. But I didn't understood anything...' Can answered. 'So now what?'
'Oh yes, I have to tell you something...' Tin straightened his posture, which made Can still as well.
'Tul's shifting.'
'Stop joking, Tin,' Can scoffed. 'Even if he's here, I won't even see his face again.. Didn't your father punished him? Or you punched him?'
Tin absorbed Can's words slowly as he processed to think. 'Yea I thought of giving him in the face, but I don't want to cause a ruckus.. and I'm not lying. He's really going away.' He spoke recalling Can's first statement.
'I dunno what to say then. For me, I still hate him.' Can replied letting out a breath.
The air around them was not windy. It was rather calm and silent. And the grass very fresh. The bench cold about the winter, as the birds chirped cheerfully upon the new feeling. The feeling of freedom. As the clouds passed very slowly upon the very blue sky, letting a glimpse of sunlight so eager in the weather. And the two men continued talking about there.
'We have to shift our apartment too..,' Tin clicked his tongue as Can listened his talk for a thousandth time. Yes indeed, it was the rare time where Tin was being listened by Can, without the smaller interrupting but replying instead.
'The arrangement is made, but there's still some modifications I want to do and I don't want to stay here.' Tin spoke aloud and his little lover didn't asked him why. It was obvious to Can that Tin was so used to be alone that a whole lot of love dropped on him would be too much. And according to Can, very weird.
'So come to my house, no? My room's big enough for the two of us.'
'I was actually thinking of going back to the village, but this seems fine too..' Tin smirked as Can laughed out loud.
Tin Medthanan, who once despised low lives and poorer, was so helplessly in love with a small boy which had little to no maturity. Who once despised people of low income, was suddenly eager to go to a farm with his boyfriend. Who once hated love so much, was the one being so affected by it. And yet, it couldn't be helped.
'I have loved you, Cantaloupe...,' Tin whispered suddenly, cupping Can's soft cheeks with his long hands and kissing his tender lips. His control was gone now, it was so difficult for him to keep his hands to himself. It was finally where he could claim Can in front of the world without fear. He belonged to Can.
'It is too difficult to control myself. I- I'm sorry to cause you trouble, Cantaloupe. Thank you so much..' Tin kissed him once again. And the latter deepened it with his fragile hands. He sprung his hands on Tin's neck and traveled above into his soft hair, caressing them. He bobbed his head sideways for gratification as his body went closer to his boyfriend's, while Tim's veiny arms made their way from Can's cheek to his waist, holding it with his palms tightly. Bringing him more into him, closing the gap between them. Can slightly pushed Tin for air, ending the intimacy leaving both of them breathless.
His body was still sticking to the older, his hands still on his neck, while the other still had his on Can's waist, unable to let go of it.
'God Tin, you're so unbelievable.' Can laughed towards him. His small eyes twinkling with affection for the latter. It reflected nothing but love, there was so much of love between them. As they went through the thorns of obstacles in the whole month, it felt so unreal. The time when they met, they fought so much, when Tin fell for Can. If it is was not for their opposite personalities and trust.
'I love you too na.'
The faint, hard hairs on the bodies of the two men stood erect with their hearts pacing fast along the slow time. The blue sky seemed very very clear about the cold. The grass fresh with their naked feet brushing by them. As the two people remained settled there loving one another. Kissing, speaking the sweetest of words.
