《(TinCan) I Hate U.》not letting you go

Mia stepped out of the car and found Tin who stood on the porch, waiting.
Mia rushed to his embrace and kissed him on the cheek.
Mia - Uncle Tin! You're here! I'm so glad!
Tin - (smile brightly) me too.
Mia - so are you living with uncle Can?
Tin - No, just visiting.
Mia - (her eyes turned sad) does that mean you are going back to Chiang Mai?
Tin says nothing but a slight nod.
Can - man, that's hurtful.
Mia and Tin turned to Can who just strolled towards them with an unhappy face.
Can - how do we suppose to go on without you here, Tin?
Tin - (looked at Mia but response to Can) you do know I have to go back.
Can - (bit his lips) but--
The sound of the car door close stopped Can from talking. It was Tul and he walked to them.
Tul - (smiled at the sight of her daughter clenching Tin so tight) Hello Tin.
Tin just nodded back.
Can could tell that it's still awkward around them.
Can - Mia, are you forgetting my hug?
Mia laughed and rushed to hug Can.
Can - do you want to go see Teen and little Mia? They are waiting for you.
Mia - Yeah I want to!
Can - (hold onto her hand) okay, let's go.
They walked away, leaving Tin and Tul alone.
Tin - how's mother?
Tul - same. (Looked down on the floor) are you really not going to stay here?
Tin - I have to go home.
Tul - well… (sighed) we're going to miss you.
Tin - it's not like I'm going to die or anything.
Tul - I know… (stared at Tin deeply) so, what about Can? Are you just going to leave him here alone?

Tin gave him a shocking look. Did Tul know about their relationship already?
Tul - what's with that look? It's so obvious. All the years when you're in Chiang Mai, Can worked really hard to find you. He spent hours of studying to become the CEO just so he can have more advantages of finding you.
***After finished talking to Tul, Tin walked back inside. He looked out the window and find Mia playing tag with the kids. Teen was holding her hand, running away from the whoever was chasing them. Tul was there watching them play. Tin wandered his eyes around the playground. He couldn't find Can anywhere.
Can - I knew you would miss me.
Tin turned around to see Can watching him from behind.
Tin - how long have you been standing there?
Can - who cares. Just keep this in mind, I will always watching you.
Tin - (narrowed his eyes) now that...is creepy.
Can laughed.
Tin walked to Can and pulled him to a hug.
Can was confused at first but then he hugged him back.
Can - Tin, what's wrong? (No answer from Tin) Is it because I let Tul visit? If it bothers you, I'll kick him out.
Tin - no… (hugged him tighter) what did I do to deserve you, Can? Why are you doing so much for me? Now that I think about it… I never really know why you like me back. For those four years that have passed, you never tell me the things you've been through. Or maybe I wasn't given enough effort to ask you myself but... You know so much about my family and you might even know them more than I do. And I never understand why you would spend your time to fix my family… especially when back then you made me believe that you can never like me back. Was it…

Can pulled out of the hug and held onto Tin's face and looked into his eyes.
Can - it's not pitiful. At first, yeah I thought it was... I thought you're just a guy who deserves better, who needs love and caring. But when you left me, I couldn't stop thinking about you. I couldn't help but wanted to be near you. I wanted to be with you. I just want to be the one who can make you happy. Your existence is very important to me, Tin. Yeah, at some point I did make it clear that I'm not into men but I realized that's not the point. It just you who I want to take care of and the person I want to love. When you smile, I see someone who's pure and noble who can light up the world without even trying. I want to share your sorrow, your happiness and I want to share this life with you. That's why now I'm here... (Pressed his forehead to Tin's.) I'm not gonna let you go.
Tin - me either.
Can - (looked straight to Tin's eyes.) So…about going back to Chiang Mai…
Tin - I'm going back. (Pulled away from Can)
Can was confused and angry at the same time.
Can - but you said you're not going to let me go!
Tin raised one of his eyebrows and made a mocking face at Can.
Tin - I'm not but I'm not staying here either.
Can gawked in frustration. Why is Tin always make everything so hard on him?
Can - after what I just said to you?!
Tin - (laughed) chill Can when I said I'll make "us" work, I mean it.
Can - and when will that be? I'm gonna have to wait for you again?
Tin - Chiang Mai is my home, Can. It changed my life to where I am now. I can't just throw it away.
Can - if you're not going to move here to live with me then why did you come back to make peace with your family? Larry too.
Tin thought for a while and then he smiled.
Tin - I just… don't want to hold that grudge anymore. I moved on now and so are you. Can, don't you think everybody have suffered enough? If you look closely, you'll see the heaviness of guilt they have been carrying all this time. I'm not just talking about my side of the family. I'm talking about yours too.
A feeling of electric shot woke Can and his father's face came to his mind.
Tin - you know back in the days when you never let anyone talk bad about your father, I wanna see that again.
**four years ago, the day when Can visit Larry in jail, it was the day he built a wall between him and his father.**
Tin knew about it.
