* Mental Hospital *
A nurse walked inside Mrs.Vich's room, followed by someone.
Nurse - Mrs. Vich, you have a visitor.
And then the nurse just walked out without waiting for a response. Tin watched as she leaves, he could tell that the nurses here are too impatient to the patients here.
Tin walked further inside and he could see his mom sitting on her bed. She turned happily to him.
Mrs. Vich - Can, you finally bac--!
Mrs. Vich stopped her voice at the end when she saw Tin. She then rubbed her eyes with her hands and take another look at him. Her heart raced at what she recognizes in front of her. Her eyes formed tears immediately. She placed her hands to cover her mouth as she tried to console herself.
Tin, on the other hand, was confused as to why his mother called Can's name. The nurse didn't say anything about who's going to visit her. Why does she think it would be Can? Anyway, Tin brushed that thought off and pay more attention to the current situation.
She almost looks the same by the way Tin remembers her. Her body size is a little thinner though and she left her hair hanging down.
Tin - Mom… It's me.
Mrs. Vich looked away and sobbed even more. Hearing his son's voice almost broke her heart.
Tin - What is wrong? Are you not even going to say hi to me, Mom?
She panicked and turned her face back to Tin. She wanted to tell him that she misses him so much but she cannot bring herself to say it. Her voice won't come out. She was too shocked.
Tin waited for a few more seconds to see if his mother would say something, but nothing.

Tin - (sighed) You never change. You never want to speak to me. Just like in the past.
The memories of the past came tumbling down inside her memory and it frightened her as it causes her to shake.
Tin walked passed her and to the window. The window curtain was closed so he slid it open and an amount of sunlight escaped inside.
Tin - it's a beautiful day today. I'm not sure why you have the window close.
He looked back at his mother but she is not going to stop crying anytime soon.
Tin - what is your deal?
His voice changed to a cold and low tone and that made his mother listen carefully.
Tin - I even disappear just so you guys can have a better life. So what is it that you're doing now? Why are you here in this mental hospital? Is this some kind of joke? Are you trying to make people pity you? What makes you go this far?
His mother shook her head and a little moan escaped from her lips.
Mrs. Vich - it's not…
Silence again.
Tin - (scoffed) I guess I'll never know. You have no intention of talking to me anyway.
Mrs. Vich shook her head while crying so hard.
Tin - Even though you're not going to answer me, I still want to ask you something, mom. The Tin who used to live with you for 19 years, what is your purpose for keeping him alive?
Tin stared at her fiercely, waiting for an answer if he could have one.
Mrs. Vich stopped crying suddenly. She gazed at her son with her red eyes--the face of a heartbroken as tears kept streaming down to her chin. No matter how much she wanted to engage with her son, there will always be a boundary between them. She has never been a responsible mother, it's too ashamed to even try to explain her aspect of the story. But she is now done being silenced. If she wants Tin back in her life, she will have to fight for him.

Tin had no idea what is going through her mind right now. She gave him a desperate look; like she has made up her mind on something.
But still… she is still not talking.
Tin made his way to the door as she panicked moved out of her bed. But once her feet touched the floor, her whole body collapsed. She fell to the ground.
Tin couldn't believe what he was seeing. His mother was on the ground, trying to stand but couldn't. How in the world did this happen?
Mrs. Vich - Because you are my son!
Her arms reached out as she cried, wanting to take hold of him.
Mrs. Vich - I gave birth to you because I love you, Tin… I always have…
Tin holds back his emotions.
Tin - then why…
Mrs. Vich - I was wrong, Tin! (Pointed to herself) mommy was wrong! I'm sorry! Please! Tin, forgive me!
Tin - (shook his head) it doesn't make any sense! You're lying!
Mrs. Vich - No, Tin! I love you so much!
Tin - you just stood there, mom! You just stood there, watching me beaten up by dad! I looked at you, pleading for your help but you did nothing! You call that "love!?"
Mrs. Vich - I'm sorry! Tin, I'm sorry! I was scared… that's why...now I am living with this guilt.
Tin turned away as a tear escaped from his eyes. He wiped it quickly.
Tin - what happened to your legs?
Mrs. Vich - (shook her head, crying) don't mind it, karma has come to me.
Tin bit his lower lip. His emotion is going to take control.
Tin - I… I can't hate you when you're like this!
Tin ran out the door and bumped into someone, but he kept running.
Mrs. Vich - No! Tin! Come back! Please don't leave me again! Tin!
The person that Tin bumped was Mr. Vich, Tin's father. It was too fast, he didn't see Tin's face. He rushed inside to where his wife was crying.
Mr. Vich - what happened?!
Mrs. Vich - Tin! It's Tin! He's our son! He's leaving me again! Bring him back! Go bring our son back!
Mr. Vich's heart dropped. He quickly ran out the direction Tin was running off to.
***Tul and Nana rushed to their mother's room as some of the nurses were already lifted her up to her bed.
Tul - where Tin?
Mrs. Vich - Tul! (Reached her hand as Tul quickly grabbed hold of it.) Go bring your brother back. (Cried) I can't live without him gone again.
Tul - he left?
Mrs. Vich - your dad is chasing after him right now. Follow them and bring your little brother back.
***About the time Mr. Vich got outside, he saw a glimpse of Tin getting inside a Taxi. He felt as if his heart were shattered into pieces. Tin was just beyond his reach, he can't let his son go now.
--------------------------------
Inside the Taxi, driving.
Tin clenched his fist.
"Can… I can't do this… I need you. I need you here with me…"

Some dragons are differentiated by their color like the red dragons, the white dragons, even the green dragons. Journey West 5000

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

El's Revenge
“Revenge is not for the dead- we, as the living, take revenge to relieve the burden we feel,” I whispered into the air. “Salvation for the people who suffered because of you,” I watched as the city burned in the flames. “Salvation for the people like me, who believed in the proclaimed heroes when in reality they were the devils.” I smiled faintly as the ‘holy land’ of those ‘saints’ was destroyed. I heard rustling sounds as Charlotte came to stand next to me, grabbing my hand. “El, are we the bad guys?” If I was still the same as I was before, I might’ve broken down and started crying. Now, it was different. “A villain is just another victim. They cry and mourn, it’s just that no one heard, leading them into madness. It’s one of the reasons why we know the most, but care the least.” I took a deep breath. “We may be the bad guys in other peoples’ eyes, but in my story, we’re the heroes.” Charlotte took in my words for a while and pondered, before nodding in agreement. “As children, we loved the heroes, as adults we understand the villains.” I looked at her and bonked her on the head, earning an angry glare from her. “Hey! You’re barely an adult yourself you know,” she grumbled. I laughed and ruffled her hair, before countering her. “At least I’m not 12. You can’t even be considered a teenager at that age.” After that, we silently watched the flames ravage the land, before leaving.
