《(TinCan) I Hate U.》missing you

When they reached home, there was food preparation at the dinner table. The maids lined up at the door waiting for Can as Can walked inside the house. Can doesn't feel comfortable coming back to the big house but his dad won't allow him to go back to his apartment, so he decided to just stay in the house for a few days.
Can, his dad, and his stepmom was sitting on the dinner table, eating.
Can noticed that Mrs. Fah always lowered her eyes every time Can looked at her. She did welcome him back in tears but her full self is not here with her and Can know exactly why. Her son, Larry, was the one who tried to kill him, so it wouldn't be surprising to see her this way. She is afraid that Can might be angry at her but more specifically, she is ashamed… Ashamed of what Larry has done to him.
That night, Ae, Pete, and Techno came to spend the night with Can.
Techno - Tell us now. What happened?
They were in Can's room, waiting impatiently at him.
Can - when do you guys want me to start off?
Ae - I don't know, like when you got kidnapped.
Techno - we saw the footage when they took you and Tin, man… we were so worried about you. Did those gangsters beat you? Tell us everything!
Can - (Laughed) okay, okay… calm down.
Then Can explained everything to them: The moment they got kidnapped into the van when they were in the motorboat, and the part when they were thrown into the ocean.
Can - Tin was the one who saved me.
Ae - (eyes widen) Ai Tin? He saved you? A cold-blooded person like him?
Can - yes him. Who else could it be? I don't know how to swim.

Pete - (immediately smiled) if Tin saved you then, he is still alive, right?
Can soften his eyes and become sad all of it sudden. He slowly nodded.
Seeing Can like this, Pete and Ae know exactly that there was definitely something to it. They were glad to know that Tin is not dead but the problem of him not being here along with Can, made them wonder. There have to be arguments involved.
Without knowing the atmosphere, Techno quickly asked.
Techno - then how come he didn't come back with you?
Pete pinched on Techno's arm.
Techno - (finches his arm back) ow.
Can turned to look out of his window, remembering the image of Tin turning away from him. It is so clear to Can now that Tin's lonely back carried such big pain that Can don't know about. If he just sees it then...if he just pays more attention to Tin...then he wouldn't have to sit here missing him like this.
Can - he's happy now. That's all that matters.
His friends looked at each other and back to Can.
The night has gone by fast.
The three friends left after breakfast. Can and his father was about to head out to the police station to see Larry. Then his phone buzzed and it was a text from Pete.
Pete : Hey, when we got outside, a car was parked right next to our car. It was Tul, Tin's brother. He came out to greet us and asked for you. We told him that you were about to go somewhere anyway but I guess he is going to wait for you to come out. Just letting you know.
Can texted back.
Can : thanks.
Can told his dad that Tul is outside the parking lot.
Mr. Fah - you don't have to see him if you don't want to.

Can - it's okay, dad. Give us a few minutes.
His dad nodded.
Can walked out to the parking lot and found Tul lending against his car. When he saw Can, he quickly straightened up.
Can - you know you can just ring the doorbell.
Tul wiped his hands to the side of his pants. He was nervous.
Tul - I… I was about to...but wasn't sure if it'll be the right time.
Can looked at his phone as if to check the time, pretending to be in a hurry.
Can - well what do you want, I don't have much time.
Tin - if this is not a good time then I can come later.
Can - there will be no later.
Can said it boldly.
Tin - (let out a heavy sigh) do you know anything about my brother, Tin? What happened to him?
Can raise an eyebrow at him.
Can - oh...so you're Tins big brother. (Said it dramatically.)
Tul - (realized that he forgot to present himself) Err… yeah. I'm Tin's brother. Tul, my name is Tul.
Can - I thought I had already made myself clear. I don't remember anything.
Tul stepped closer to Can and Can see the sincere in the guy's eyes.
Tul - I'm sorry, I didn't want to push your memory but could you at least remember if he's okay… if he is alive.
His voice cracked in emotion, making it seems like he's about to cry.
Was he for real? Can think. Or was he just putting on an act?
Can - I know a few things about you and your dad, about what you guys did to Tin.
Tul's eyes snapped open, staring at Can with an intent regretful.
Can - it was disgusting. I'll tell you now, even if I know whether Tin is alive or dead; you and your father will be the last people I'll tell. So don't waste your time coming here.

Cornucopia of Hope
The graduating class of Hope's Peak Academy has been kidnapped sometime after their graduation ceremony. They wake up in a beautiful, plush mansion with no idea where they could be other than the name Our Mansion of Plenty. The physical barriers of steel plates and locked doors might not be enough to cage them, if it weren't for the malicious mechanical fairy calling itself The Fey and ruling their new lives with an iron--albeit tiny--fist. While being kidnapped is bad enough, the fact that this fairy brat is telling them to kill each other is definitely worse. Apparently, murdering one of your fellow victims is the only way to get out of this luxurious mansion. But nobody would do that...right? Cornucopia of Hope is a non-canon killing game completely alienated from the the canon universe of the Danganronpa games. The things borrowed from the games are as followed: Hope's Peak Academy, and the structure of 16ish hyper-skilled teenagers trapped in an enclosed space and being subjected to a motive, a murder, an investigation, a trial, and an execution of the presumed killer. There are no spoilers, tie ins, or previous knowledge required of the series to read this story!

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
