《One Bloody Waltz | Vampire!BTS x Reader》VII 🌹

Deep breath.
I was hyperventilating. My eyes were so wide it was a possibility for them to actually pop out of their sockets, I was shaking, I was sweating, I was pacing, in other words; I was a mess. My reaction wasn't really over the top, it was pretty... normal? After all, he was a vampire and I had only met him like two days ago! And talked to him twice!
"Jesus, I'm basically a whore..." I whispered as I repeatedly facepalmed, causing my head to start throbbing. A headache, great addition to the mix may I say!
I was pacing through the gardens like a maniac, and the more that I thought of what happened, I couldn't help but blush, it was frustrating because I genuinely didn't want something like this to happen, and if it did, I didn't want it to have such an impact on me, but of course; it did. It affected me so much, I couldn't bring myself to even think about 'his' name. I was a complete disaster at the moment, and a walk would be helpful, and hopefully, I'd find Jin and ask him to give me my papers. Remembering him only worsened my case, as I thought of him, I thought of his brother and you can guess what happened after that. I obviously started hyperventilating once more.
Walking back onto the main campus, there weren't much people around, mainly because night classes were only taken by people who had things to do in the morning, which explained why there were so many adults around, only a few people could be deemed as college students of their time; like myself and the boys.
The whole of my way towards the university's main court, I couldn't help but let my mind slip back, rethinking about what happened when I was in the auditorium, everything was so fresh in my mind; and yet, everything about that moment seemed so surreal. I had let myself slip completely, not even bothering to guard myself and he, he hadn't hurt me, he hadn't bitten me, he had just... kissed me.
I felt the blush spreading onto my cheeks at such a speed, it was incomprehensible. I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that he hadn't hurt me when he had the chance, and around the fact that he kissed me, and around the fact that I had let him. I had let a vampire kiss me. The shocking part wasn't the fact that I let it happen, it was the fact that it affected me this much, that I couldn't help but think of that occurrence, the fact that I didn't feel guilty or bad, the fact that no matter how hard I pushed the memory back, it just resurfaced freshly onto my now corrupted mind, the fact that whenever the image of his face came to my mind, my heartbeat sped up, as if I were living something completely and utterly thrilling, something magical.
I was submerged in my thoughts and memories when I heard my name echoing into the night skies. Turning around, I spotted the three familiar heads, a grey one, a brown one and a blonde one; Taehyung, Jungkook, and Jimin, respectively. I eyed them questioningly as they walked closer to me.
"Yah! We've been calling your name for the past ten minutes, (Y/N)-ah! And we've been looking for you for the past hour! We were worried!" Taehyung declared, his face sweaty and I gave them an apologetic smile, "I'm sorry... I was lost."
Jimin grinned, "Don't worry about it, (Y/N)-ah. You're worth the effort." He stated, ruffling his hair and Taehyung huffed. "Shut up, shorty." He stated and Jimin frowned.

"Hey! I'm your Hyung! Show some respect!" Jimin shouted. Taehyung scoffed and hit him on the head, the slight difference in height being an advantage. Jungkook, noticing the commotion, grabbed onto Tae's arm.
"We have class now Hyung, let's just go." He declared, and I was shocked to see how well he had taken over the situation, and not because he was young, but because he seemed very impatient the first day I had gotten here, he had, after all, punched a wall. Taehyung huffed and turned back, dragging Jungkook with him.
I still couldn't understand what the deal between the brothers in this family was. I cleared my head when I heard a cough, Jimin was clutching a small stack of papers that he directed my way.
"Jin-Hyung told me to give these to you," He spoke, his previous eagerness all gone, replaced by a more mature and gentle persona. It was hard to tell who they really were, all of them because they were constantly trying to build up some type of... reputation? Probably because they were vampires.
I took the papers and flipped through them, stopping at the one that explained my schedule, I took a look at it and noticed I had a free night period, which meant I wouldn't start my classes 'til half past midnight. Honestly, it was a relief, I might've told Jin I would skip school with complete confidence, but that was one of the few things I didn't want to do, I had gotten into college on scholarship and in all honesty, I did not want to screw it up.
Jimin seemed to notice and he grinned. "I have a free period now as well, let's hang out!" He declared and I rose my eyebrows. I could've refused, he was a vampire, he had bitten me, but I had also kissed his cousin, who was also a vampire, and that with the full conscience that he could've bitten me as well, so refusing seemed like the hypocritical choice, even so, I shook my head towards him and he frowned.
"It's because I bit you, isn't it?" I was about to shake my head. In all honesty, I didn't want to hang out with him not because he had bitten me, but because I was still shaken up from what had happened with... 'him'. I wanted time to myself, in order to reorganize my thoughts and feelings; but Jimin hadn't even listened to what I had to say before he started apologizing, his words mashing into incoherent sentences and I couldn't help but chuckle, catching him off guard.
"Yah!" He shouted out, his cheeks obviously pink, despite the dim lighting around us. I smiled as I rubbed my forearm, "Let's just go," I stated, turning on my heel as I started to walk one more time. At first, I was walking on my own, that is until I heard fast footsteps that quickly caught onto mine and a soft hand grabbed my own.
"Wait up." He declared, the previous childishness that laced his voice mere seconds ago had completely disappeared, only to be replaced with huskiness and slight neediness. Eventually, his hand left mine as he started to walk, taking long strides, but I managed to catch up.
"Where are we going?" I asked and he shrugged, "Probably somewhere by Greek row, so we can actually sit down, it's so unfair that only they get to have benches," He declared, rubbing his head and I found myself unconsciously smiling at his childish behavior; if some people were to do it, it would've been annoying, and yet, here I was, grinning like a Cheshire cat as he spoke about how the other parts of campus deserved benches as much as sororities and fraternities did. It was a sight really, seeing a grown man get all serious about benches.

After a short while, we had found a stone bench and I was the first one to take a seat, setting my bag aside as I looked around me. We were facing a large and Greek structured house, with flights of stairs a bit everywhere. The letters '𝚫ΩΧ' carved into one of the walls, it was pretty clean for a frat house. I was still looking around when I caught Jimin's gaze and he turned away, pretending he wasn't looking at me and I rose my eyebrows before smiling, he truly was sweet, even if he was remotely dangerous.
They all were, but the more time I spent with them, I learned to see that they were more human than I ever thought they could be. Despite their glass sharp canines and pale complexions, their humanity, their human qualities and flaws shone through brightly. Perhaps it blinded the other brides, but it didn't blind me, it helped me see them for their true selves, I saw them for their personalities, not their nature. I was still scared, mind you, but my fear had lessened; I wondered if the previous encounter with 'him' had to do anything with that.
I was still staring at Jimin as I thought and he shyly turned, glancing at my figure, "Are you okay? You seem elsewhere," He pointed out and I nodded, "Yes, I'm fine." I assured as I offered him a small smile which his eyes widened at, but he wasted no time in offering me as big of a grin he could muster.
"So, tell me Jimin, what are you majoring in?" I asked. I couldn't help the smile on my face, as I watched him shy away from telling me his major. It seemed as if he were hesitant, "I'm a double major, I major in Dance and Math." He stated and my eyes widened, "Really? That's impressive." I stated, and he looked up at me with a grin.
"Heh! Thanks!" He declared as a hand made its way to his hair, ruffling it, "What about you, (Y/N)-ah?" He asked and I began explaining, my mind clearing off the previous incidents of the day as I lost myself in words, and he listened to me with great interest. If Jin was a good listener, Jimin was a great one.
He asked me questions regarding different subjects, afterward wanting to know my opinions and thoughts about different aspects, of both school life and just life in general. We talked about our lives and how we had evolved, he told me how hard he worked out every day to have the body he now had, and I had shamelessly complimented him on it, receiving a cocky grin. He slowly came out of his shy and probably guilty shell and I came out of my scared one, he was a treat to talk to, really.
His caring nature took over the upfront he wanted to put up from the minute he saw me, which he eventually admitted, the further we went into the conversation, the more anecdotes he told me and secrets he spilled to me, like how he was the reason his partner in a math project got cheated on, and how he had once torn off Teddy's, Taehyung's plush toy, head off and buried the latter. He was a devilish troublemaker, and his adorableness allowed him to get away with everything, and if that didn't work out, he used something else; his sex appeal.
Apparently, the young vampire I was sitting next to had slept his way into getting a bachelor's degree, and I wasn't sure if that amazed me or disgusted me to the point of puking, even so, not once had I judged him, and he didn't either, he didn't judge me when I told him that I refused to give my friends answers during tests, he didn't judge me when I told him I had never learned to ride a bicycle or when I told him that I genuinely was glad to be away from my uncle for a while, he just listened.
Our conversation seemed like it lasted a lifetime, when in fact, we had been there for almost three hours, and eventually, it was time to part ways and head to class. As we both stood up, he quickly pulled me into a warm and friendly hug.
"I'll see you later, (Y/N)-ah." He bid, grinning widely before he ran away; I was shocked but I smiled nonetheless, he was so adorable. As I checked the campus map to know where the department I had class in was, I couldn't help but realize that I hadn't thought about 'him' all the while I was with Jimin; surprising. But even so, I knew that 'he' and I needed to talk about it, because the minute I had left Jimin, my mind resurfaced back to 'him'.
Looking through the amphitheater I was glad to see it was basically empty, again, most people studied during the morning, so I had a choice in picking out a spot. I decided to go with the third line, middle row. I took a seat next to a guy, seemingly, who had a hood covering his head and his face. Looking through my stuff, I pulled out my voice recorder as well as a notebook and my phone. I was pulled out of my Tumblr strolling when I heard my name and I turned to my side, surprised to see Chanyeol.
"Oh my god, what are you doing here?" I asked and he chuckled, "I told you I majored in English Literature!" He declared and I huffed, "You didn't tell me you'd be going here though," I pointed out and he chuckled, "I guess we were bound to meet again, by the way, did you read the book I told you about? You know, A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin?" He asked. I was about to answer when someone cut me off with a huff.
"That book was the most boring thing I've ever read." I could recognize that voice in a millisecond, Namjoon.
Turning to my other side, I spotted him stood there, he gave me a smirk followed by a wink, and damn, glasses were at the tip of his nose and his hair was messy, but not in a bad way, it complimented his looks; he looked like a total nerd, but a hot one.
I crooked up my brows, "I haven't had time to read it yet," I declared and Namjoon chuckled, taking a seat beside me, "Don't waste your time," He advised as he crossed his legs, setting each of his arms on the chair's back. Chanyeol's eyebrows furrowed.
"Do you even know what you're talking about, RM? That book is completely fantastic." He argued, so they knew each other, obviously not that well though, since he had called him with his alias.
"The characters weren't built all that well at all, we didn't even get a sense of true battleship and hatred between the protagonist and the antagonist, the story was just dull, empty of all emotion." Namjoon explained before he sighed, his eyes settling on my figure now, "It was a great plot, but a sad attempt at enlarging it." He concluded. I really wanted to read this book now, just to see who I'd click with more.
The conversation we were sharing about the book naturally died down as the teacher came in, and with a thud of his bag hitting the rustic, built-in stone desk, the lecture started.
During the most of it, I found myself drawn into what the teacher said, listening to him intently, recording the important of the lecture of course, but even if I hadn't, it seemed I had somewhat of a rewind button, because there were parts I missed, as I was too busy writing things down; that rewind button was Namjoon.
I'd be the world's biggest and worse liar if I said he hadn't helped me, because he did, he repeated every single word to me, exactly how the teacher said it. I would've sworn he had the professor's speech memorized, word by word. It was shocking; he chatted carelessly with the professor, correcting him on some parts and I was completely drawn in; the professor had made so many mistakes, I didn't even want to listen to him anymore, I just wanted Namjoon to get onto the large wooden pedestal and take the lecture in his hands; at least he would know what he was talking about.
By the end of the course, everyone in the room was still chit-chatting and whispering about today's lecture, and I was calmly gathering my things when a hand was held out to me. Looking up, I noticed it was Namjoon and I rose my eyebrows.
"What do you want?" I asked, curiosity in my voice. "Your voice recorder's SD card, I didn't get to record the lecture." He stated and I snorted, "Do you really need to?" I asked and he chuckled before rubbing his chin, "There are some aspects I need to recheck, I'm not sure if I was wrong or the teacher." He declared and I gave him a semi sassy, semi-bored look.
"Oh come on, we both know who's wrong, RM. I mean, the guy practically choked on his own spit when he checked the papers; I'm fully confident you were right, he's just too ashamed to admit it." I stated and he chuckled, "So, you're defending me, huh? I suppose I did have an impact." He declared, showing off his teeth in a bright and dimpled smile.
I huffed, "Never mind, the teacher's right," I declared and Namjoon laughed again, "Okay, okay, I'll stop now. What classes do you have now?" He asked, and I shrugged before I took out my schedule, "Apparently I have... culinary arts?" I informed, it came out more of a question though.
"Ah, cool. Then I guess I'll see you later on." He stated and I smiled at him, "Okay, bye RM." I stated as I waved, pushing my things into my backpack, "Oh, and (Y/N)?" I lifted my head up once more, meeting his gaze, "Yeah?"
"Please read that book, tell me your thoughts about it." He requested and I grinned, "You don't say," I stated and he smiled, "Well, I'll see you!" He grinned, walking away, his confident and smart aura leaving its scent in the room; god, these vampires were truly a treasure, despite their flaws.
I wasted no time in getting out and hurrying out of the auditorium and out of the Literature department. After asking a few people here and there, I was told the Culinary Art class was in the Art Department, and I instantly headed there. Once in the classroom, the teacher's pet assistant, whose name I found out to be Sehun, handed me a hair band to tie my hair, which I (Accepted/Refused) due to my hair length. He also gave me a white double-breasted vest with a name tag on it, which I filled out, cooking gloves and a box of finger cots. Damn, they really took cooking seriously.
After I had worn my uniform, I checked the whitelist that was hung to see who would be my partners, since we were to be in a group of three, looking through the many names for my own.
Eventually, my eyes fell on my name, and I noticed I'd be with apparently two girls; Lee BoEun and Choi InHa. We were assigned to the 5-A kitchenette, and despite my slight fear that I didn't know anyone in this class, I was pretty happy that I didn't have to share a class with the boys, as nice as they were starting to be, as human as they were starting to seem, a girl always needed time to herself.
I walked towards the compartment, and to my relief, my two partners were already there. One was sat in the middle and the other to her left side, leaving the right side empty for them. Name cards were attached to their vests. I took a look at each one, there was a short petite one with dirty blonde hair and bright brown eyes, she was very pretty, her name was BoEun. The other one was much taller and broad, short black hair and bangs framed her face well, with her light eyes and pale complexion; she was gorgeous, and her name was InHa. In genuineness, they both were very beautiful.
Walking towards them, I shook hands with each one and greeted them with a slight bow of my head. We chatted for a while, turns out to be, BoEun was a fashion major whilst InHa was a Law major. They were both on their last year of college and from what I guessed, they both hoped to get into Design school and Law school, respectively.
The culinary class was quite fun, we had learned the steps to make a true 'Hachis Parmentier' and it truly was a treat, especially with the two new friends I had made. It was an enjoyable process, especially when we made the mashed potato, and we actually ate half of it, forcing us to cook another batch. It was extremely diverting and distracting, I mean, what class that involved food wouldn't be?
Eventually, we were done and my newly made friends each took a small recipient of the French treat. As I held the small red casserole, I had no idea what I would do with it, I decided to simply put it in the car, which I did after retrieving the keys from the keeper.
The rest of classes went by a blur, probably because they had to do with my major rather than being classes that were forced down on us by the ministry of Learning Affairs, and by the end of the night, I was exhausted. My head was a bit achy and despite how much I managed to not think about the occurrence with 'him', the moment I got out of my last class, my head raced back to it.
