"so... you're actually dating now?"
"...yeah."
"like, for real dating? no "deal" or whatever?"
"for real dating."
you and yuki were having lunch together in your classroom. she heard about the news of what atsumu did yesterday and was quick to ask you about it as soon as classes were over.
"i remember asking you if you'd actually date him, didn't you say you'd rather eat your desk?" yuki teased, pointing at the desk below you.
you look away from the girl and continued to chew your food. you remember the happenings of yesterday when atsumu had confessed to you.
"...what?"
"let's date for real this time." atsumu grabs both your hands and stares at you. "i promise, i'll be better."
"still, it's kinda hard to believe he actually dated someone for real this time." yuki added. "have you ever had a boyfriend before [Y/N]-chan?"
you almost choked on your food, "w-where did that come from?"
"just a question." she shrugged. "i've never had one though, rintaro always teases me about it."
"unfortunately, i did have one." you answered truthfully.
"oh? who is-" yuki's ringtone suddenly stopped her from continuing her sentence. her eyes widened, unable to utter another word.
"what is it?" you asked.
"m-mi...mi..." your friend stutters, her eyes never leaving her phone.
"...mi?"
"...m-michiko!"
"michiko?" you tilt your head in confusion. then, realization hit you which caused you to freeze. "... you're kidding."
"michiko signora is coming to hyogo!" she squealed and stood up from her seat. "i can't believe this!"
"w-wow... yeah, totally did not see that coming..." you awkwardly scratched the back of your head.
"i've loved her ever since i was little! me and rintaro used to watch her tv shows daily, every drama she got a role in we wouldn't miss it!" yuki ranted.
"i didn't know you were a fan." you let out a small laugh.
"do you know her, [Y/N]-chan?"
"i do." you answered, avoiding eye contact with her. "very well, actually."
after class, you saw atsumu waiting for you beside your shoe locker. the boy was leaning onto it, his arms crossed in front of his chest.

"why are you at my locker?" you approached him.
"waitin' for you, what else?" he furrowed his brows. "i'll take you to yer clubroom."
you tried to hold in your laughter but ended up snorting which caused confusion to atsumu.
"w-what?"
"sorry, sorry." you wiped a small tear from the corner of your eye. "i'm just not used to you acting so nicely is all."
"what's that supposed to mean?"
"nothing." you regained your posture. "anyway, i won't be going to the club today. i'm going home early."
"... yer not waiting for me?" atsumu let his arms fall back to his sides, feeling a bit disappointed.
"i need to study, exams are coming up." you sighed. "i'll see you tomorrow-"
"wait!" he pulled your wrist before you could walk away. "i'll... i'll be going home early too."
you raised your brows at him. "don't you have practice? kita-san will be mad."
"he won't be if the reason is for me to study." he smiles at you and intertwined his fingers with yours.
"you're... studying?" you stared at him. "you're joking."
"hey i do study y'know!" he pouts. "maybe i'll study better if you give me a reward." he smirks at you which made you roll your eyes.
"in your dreams atsumu."
you finally arrived to your house, the lights were on inside. "takeru must be home." you said.
you opened the door, having to let go of atsumu's hand since you had to take your shoes off. "let's go to my room."
"didn't know yer that bold princess." he teased as he was taking off his shoes.
"takeru's watching tv in the living room so it's gonna be noisy if we study there." you replied. "unless you wanna study in the library?"
"no." atsumu declined instantly. "yer rooms way better." while he couldn't help but to feel a bit excited inside, atsumu pushed those thoughts away and tried to focus on actually doing what he came for.
you opened the door to your room, thankful it was clean for once. "you can sit under the kotatsu, it'll keep us warm. i'm gonna go grab us some snacks."
the blonde nods before you left the room. he looked around, observing every detail there is to see. there was a picture frame on top of your desk, so he went to go see it. in it was a man who had [H/C] hair that was carrying what seemed to be takeru on his shoulders, and a little version of you who was hugging his legs.
"cute." atsumu thought and took his phone out to take a picture of the child version of you. he saw another frame next to it, but in it was you and a lady he seemed to find familiar.
"i've seen her before..." he muttered as he stared at the picture. before his mind could even make it up, you entered the room causing him to snap out of his thoughts.
"takeru ate all the chips but luckily he saved these instead." you held out two boxes of [F/F] pocky.
atsumu stared at the box you were holding, his mind immediately going into some game he saw on the internet. "...are you just tryna make me kiss ya? cuz if so then just ask-"
"what are you talking about?" you furrowed your brows. "anyway, you said you were gonna study right? take it seriously or i am going to kick you out."
"r-roger."
you both sat down underneath the kotatsu and took out your textbook. "we're doing maths first."
"fiiine." atsumu wasn't one to take exams seriously like his brother. his main focus was always on volleyball and that's all he ever did most of the time. studying was not something he did, but he wasn't failing his classes either, he was mostly average.
after ten minutes of you answering your textbook, atsumu began to grow bored. he rests his head on your bed, his textbook was now covering his face but his lips were still seen.
you noticed the boy and his growing boredom, sighing when you realized he wasn't actually studying.
"atsumu."
"yes babe?"
your face heated up slightly at the nickname. you tried to brush it off, and scolded him. "what are you doing?"
"reading."
"your textbook is literally on your face."
"...i'm finished."
you then recalled what he saied earlier, "maybe i'll study better if you give me a reward." you thought of an idea so you scooted over to the boy, leaning your face towards him.
since his textbook didn't cover the bottom part of his face, you let your lips touch his for a moment before pulling back. atsumu quickly pulled the textbook away from his face.
"you should've told me yer gonna do that." you could see his face growing red.
"why are you so flustered everytime i do it?" you chuckled. "study and i'll give you a reward."
"okay." he replied in an instant and grabs his pen, beginning to scribble on his textbook. you were thankful he finally took it seriously this time.
a couple of minutes later, the both of you finished the subject. you stretched and said, "finally that's done."
atsumu placed his head on his palm that was resting on top of the kotatsu as if he was waiting for something. you looked at him, wondering what it was.
"what?"
"reward please?" he smiles.
you mentally cursed to yourself, already forgetting about it. "...right."
so you went closer to the boy again and began to lean in, but this time he stopped you. "wait." he grabs the box of pocky and opens it, holding a piece out.
"can we play it?"
"how does it work though?"
"we bite on each end and eat it. if you let go before me then ya lose." he explains and bit one end of the pocky. "ready?"
you smirked, feeling competitive. you bit on the other end and said, "ready."
you both started to bite both ends. it took slower than you expected, but no one was letting go. you were too busy staring at the pocky while atsumu was actually staring at you. feeling impatient, he took the pocky away from the both of you and threw it away.
"hey!" you scold, disappointed he ended the game.
"sorry princess but i'm too impatient."
atsumu brought his face to yours, closing the tiny gap you two had. he cupped your face with his hands, while your hand grabs his shoulder from the suddenness. his lips moved in sync with yours as you tasted the flavor of the pocky in his tongue.
you were first to let go from the lack of oxygen, your face mildly flushed from his actions. "you lose." you said.
he smirks at you, his finger slightly pinching your cheeks. "doesn't matter. i still got my reward."
