it's the next day after atsumu took care of you. after saying that you have yet to forgive the blonde, he has grown restless thinking of what you'd make him do. sure, he told you he would do anything to make up for it but he hoped you would go easy on him.
and he doubts that you actually will.
as of now, atsumu was waiting for you to eat with him at your regular spot outside the cafeteria. he saw you this morning looking fine and healthy, so he told you to have lunch with him to which you agreed to. while waiting for you, atsumu rested his hand against his palm. she's late, he thought.
"hey." a voice greets behind him.
"yer la–" atsumu didn't get to continue what he was saying when he saw who sat next to him. "what're you doin' here?"
heather placed her lunch onto the table as she sat next to atsumu. "having lunch with you, what else?" she smiled, one that you'd find quite irritating.
"someone else is meant to sit there and it's definitely not you." he rolled his eyes, scooting away from the redhead. it was no use since heather just scooted closer to atsumu, the gap closing in on them.
"and who might that be?" she smirks.
"my girlfriend."
heather laughs, finding atsumu's words funny. "i don't see her." she was about to open her lunch but another voice spoke up behind her.
"turn around." the redhead slowly whips her head behind her, doing what the voice told her to.
"now you see her." you had your hands on your hips, a sly smirk forming on your lips. judging from heather's facial expression, she wasn't so happy about it.
"hey babe!" you turned to see atsumu, your face suddenly turning into a bright and cheery one. "sorry i'm late, akito-sensei asked me to go do something for him." you sat next to him, clinging onto his arm and acted all flirty.

atsumu was taken back with your whole acting. since when was she this good?! he thought. when he didn't reply, you pinched his sides signalling for him to act along with you.
"o-ow!" he hissed, but regains his composure afterwards. "it's fine babe, i was saving you a seat." he looks at you and smiles, ignoring the other girl beside him.
heather could only watch you two being all flirty in anger. "ugh!" she groans before leaving your table, her heels stomping loudly on the cobbled floor.
when she was a few feet away, you sighed in relief and let go of atsumu's arm. "thank god she's gone..."
"so, babe?" atsumu mocked, clearly still impressed of what you did.
"oh shut up. i saved your ass there, you should thank me." you placed the bento you were carrying on the table, ignoring atsumu's remarks.
"you should call me that everytime now–"
"in your dreams."
atsumu spots the bento you were unwrapping. there were two this time, and you slid the other one in front of him. he blinks, still not sure if it was actually for him. "...this' for me?"
"there's always a bin over there if you don't want it–"
"no, of course i want it!" he wasted no time grabbing the chopsticks and digging into the meal you made for him.
"of course? didn't know you wanted my cooking that badly." you smirk, teasing him back. "so it's that good?",
he stops eating for a second, realizing what he just said. "i-it's... not bad." he glances at you but looks away instantly when your eyes met.
"it's a thanks for taking care of me yesterday." you say and started to eat your own meal. "felt like i owed you one." you mumbled the last bit of your sentence, inaudible for atsumu to hear.

"what was that?"
"n-nothing." you denied, hoping he'd drop the subject. atsumu could only shrug and continue eating his meal.
walking towards the both of you however, was suna and yuki who had just finished eating lunch. you told yuki that you caught a cold yesterday that's why you weren't able to attend class, then she told her twin brother all about it. of course, suna had to come see you for himself to check if you were really alright.
"[Y/N]-chan!" yuki waved to you as they got nearer. suna had his hands on the pocket on his jeans but you could see him with a light smile as he looked at you.
"yuki-chii, rintaro, hey there!" you greet back.
"rintaro?" atsumu questioned. he didn't know why the two of you were on first name basis already but he knew for sure that he didn't like it.
"hey there [Y/N], atsumu." suna greets. you stood up from the seat you were taking next to atsumu to talk to the twins.
"what brings you two here?" you asked. you didn't see their lunch with them so clearly they weren't there to eat with you.
"oh! rintaro asked me to take him to you." yuki replied. "he's been worried non stop since– ow! what the hell?!" yuki groans in pain when suna pinched her cheeks hard, stopping her from saying anything else.
"i just came here to check up on you." suna lets go of yuki's cheeks. "you feeling better?"
behind you was atsumu glaring at what was going on in front of him. since when was he so buddy buddy with [Y/N]?
"yeah, all good! thanks for taking me home that night." you gave him a wide smile. suna's featurs soften seeing the beam plastered on your face.
"like i said, it's fine." he was going to pat your head, but he noticed a piece of rice stuck on your chin. he moves closer to you and placed his hand below your lip.
for a second, it looked like he was leaning in for a kiss. atsumu widened his eyes in surprise. he was about to stand up to shove suna away from you until he said,
"you've got rice over here." suna rubs it off of you.
you, being completely clueless, thanked him. "oh, thanks!"
yuki, who was behind suna, was watching the whole thing play out. she noticed atsumu behind you getting very annoyed at what was happening and found it very amusing.
not having the patience for it, atsumu stood up from the bench and wraps his arm around your shoulder then made you take a step back away from suna. "well, enough of that. thanks for helping my girlfriend there suna."
yuki was trying to hold in a laugh. she could tell that atsumu was getting jealous of her twin brother.
"it's no problem." suna went back onto his usual poker face. "see you guys." with that, he turns his back away from you and walked pass yuki.
"see you in class [Y/N]-chan!" she winked at you then runs after her brother. while walking away, yuki nudged her brother, "there wasn't any rice." she laughs, raising her brow at suna's actions.
"i know." he simply replied.
"so why did you do it?"
"to annoy him."
after saying goodbye, you turned your back to atsumu. "will you get your arms off me now please?"
"no."
"why?"
"wouldn't want anyone stealin' my fake girlfriend now would i?" he smirks, leaving you still being completely oblivious to what just happened.

Fair warning I don't understand the rating system but I'll say M-rated just in case. This is my first story, I accept criticism but I would like the critic to explain the reasoning behind it. Also I'm still figuring how this site works and I have no schedule so updates may be sporadic, at least once a week. Not a native speaker but in the practices, too lazy to actually get the diploma, I got an average of 9.7 out of 10 at the Cambridge C1 level, the CAE, second highest european level for foreign languages, so it should be no problem.
