《deal [M. ATSUMU]》09 ♪ Warmth

"what are you doing here?" you asked the blonde who was standing in front of your gate.
"pickin' you up, what else?"
it was monday morning when you spotted atsumu outside your house casually leaning against the wall, waiting for you to come out of your humble adobe. takeru who just walked out the door, happily greeted the male.
"ohayo, atsumu-kun!" he ran out to the older boy and gave him a high five.
"ohayo takeru-kun. have you had breakfast?"
"yeah! nee-chan made some pancake shaped like cats!" your brother laughs. "it even had chocolate chip as the eyes and nose!"
"oi. is it really necessary to tell him that?" you say while locking your door.
"heh~ didn't know you had a cute side [Y/N]-chan." atsumu teased.
you clicked your tongue loud enough for them to hear. "you got a problem with that?" you walked towards the two after putting the keys in your bag to keep them secure. "and since when did you add chan to my name?"
"just thought it's very unlike you, considerin' you seemed to act like a gorilla most of the ti– gah!" you smacked the back of his head before he could continue what he was saying.
"let's go takeru." you took your brother's hand and walked away, leaving a groaning atsumu behind.
"hey, wait up!" he yelled and catches up to the two of you. "i woke up early just to walk with you to school y'know." he pouts, placing his hands at the pockets of his jeans.
"no one told you to do that stupid." you scowled.
"i think that's pretty kind of you, atsumu-kun!" takeru praised.
"see, takeru thinks i'm a gentleman, don'tcha?" atsumu looks at takeru for approval in which he nods happily.
"see [Y/N] i told you he's not like him!" takeru says, swinging yours and his hands around. you flinched when your brother suddenly mentioned him.

"him?" atsumu asks, his eyes widening a bit.
"takeru, shut it–"
"yeah, nee-chan's ex bo– mmpphff!" you covered takeru's mouth with your hand before he could say anything any further. he was struggling in your grip, trying to get out.
"nothing, nothing!" you laughed nervously, hoping atsumu wouldn't question anything more. he just rose his brows and turned his gaze back to the road, staying silent the whole walk to takeru's school.
you finally dropped takeru off, telling him to be good for the rest of the day. he nods, and went inside. you and atsumu had begun walking to inarizaki, nothing but silence for the first five minutes of the walk until he asked a question.
"so, you had an ex?"
your eyes widen, you didn't actually think he'd caught on to what takeru said earlier. little did you know that that was all that atsumu was thinking about the whole time you were walking.
"y-yeah." you look away.
"...was he from here?"
"no. i'd rather not talk about him."
atsumu nods, understanding the situation. he didn't want to pry and make you uncomfortable so he chose to be silent. but still, he couldn't seem to get it out of his head. sure you were very pretty, but he thought you'd never been in a relationship before hence why he picked you for the deal in the first place.
"why'd you want to walk with me to school?" you ask when you saw him spacing out.
atsumu snapped out of his thoughts and answered your question. "you'll see." he smirks.
you didn't trust this, specially when he showed you his usual smirk which doesn't mean good. "what about osamu-san?"
"whatta 'bout him?"
"well, don't you walk with him to school or something?"
"told you, i woke up early to walk with you so i had to leave him behind. he's usually late for class anyway, so it's fine." he stares in front, eyeing the building of the school that was already nearby.

you hum at his answer. atsumu walked closer to you, your shoulders already touching. "what?" you question.
countless students can already be seen nearby since the school was close. atsumu took his hand out of his pocket and held yours, intertwining his fingers with yours.
"yer hands cold." he squeezed it, adding some warmth to your palms.
you rose your brows at the sudden contact. "so this was your plan?" you tried to put your gaze somewhere else aside from him when you held his hand back. you couldn't lie, holding atsumu's hand felt better than when it was empty and cold. his hand provided you with heat, but not only for your hands but also for your cheeks as well.
"wow, how'd you guess?" he says sarcastically. "i can see ya blushin' princess."
"you're seeing things."
"whatever you say." he smiles, not believing your lies.
the two of you reached the school gates, still hand to hand with each other. students stared and whispered, most of their conversations you can actually hear.
"that's atsumu-kun's girlfriend?"
"she's really pretty!"
"yeah but he deserves much better."
"i can't believe he would date someone like her!"
you roll your eyes at their gossips. you wouldn't let their petty whispers get to you so you try remain unbothered by it. you unintentionally tighten the grip on atsumu's hand, which he felt. he also heard the whispers so he stopped walking and glared at the students.
"you got somethin' to say to my girlfriend?" he scowled, he had the same look from when you disturbed his serve back then. the students flinched and shook their head as an apology. atsumu huffed and started walking, pulling you with him.
he didn't say anything else after that, he just looked straight ahead. "uhm... thanks." you say, looking away from him.
"don't let 'em get to you."
"i won't." a small smile formed on your face, and atsumu saw it from the corner of his eye.
"ohayo, [Y/N]-chan!" yuki waved at you from her desk. you sighed and greeted back as you shut the door behind you. "ohayo yuki-chii..." you greet back, a tiresome tone in your voice.
"you've made yourself quite famous." she wiggeled her brows. you sat down the seat next to her that belongs to you and set your bag down.
"what?"
"everyone's been talking about you." she pointed at the students in front with her lips who were huddled up at the corner looking at you. when you looked back at them, they craned their necks back pretending that they weren't even staring at you in the first place.
"what have i gotten myself into..." you whined and rested your head against the table.
"you're officially known as atsumu miya's girlfriend, and everyone knows that never happens [Y/N]."
"why are they acting as if i just married him? it's just... dating." you pout and looked at yuki who was slightly snickering. "i should've just let him murder me back then."
yuki laughs, patting your back gently. "well, that's what you get for dating a super star."
"it's not even real..." you mutter, trying to keep your voice down. you stare at your hands, remembering the warmth of atsumu's hand on yours.
"hmm, what if it did become real?" yuki spots you looking at your hands and grins.
you blinked, realizing what your friend was implying. "i'd rather eat this desk." you turn your head on another direction that wasn't facing yuki to hide the slight blush on your face from her teasing.
"you'll never know [Y/N]-chan." she teases. you knew your friend was just joking, but you couldn't help but to think about it. would you actually fall for atsumu miya?

The Novel's Extra's Extra
As a reader, Cristopher always looked for things that entertained him, didn't matter what the "critics" said, all that matters was his own opinion on the novel, so he started reading "The Novel's Extra", a webnovel that despicts an author who is transmigrated to his own novel. It was fun and all with its own good and bad points, really, one of his favorites novels at the end of the journey, and that's taking into account the little fact that he didn't have too many things he was able to enjoy, not in that empty shell that was called life for him... Why could someone be born like that? With a void inside, an endless void that slowly consumes oneself... But... for better or worse... everything changed one day, the same day he woke up to discover he had the same faith of the author whose novel he just finished reading, becoming an extra in a novel, becoming The novel's extra's extra... /Ok, now that's the description I thought of... first of all, for those of you who are reading this, if any, a few points I have to make clear: 1. I'm not an english native speaker, so if you find anything wrong in the text, please let me know, that would help me learn, and I would be thankful for that.2. I'm writting this out of pure "enjoyment", so while I'll try to be constant, I'll not make any promises.3. True reason why I'm writing this is because I'm going through a moderate to crippling depression right now (and no, is not because anything trully bad and horrendous happened to me, it seems to have something to do with my brain's malfuctioning, among other things), and doctors told me to try writing as I enjoy reading. So yeah, this is more like a self-help excercise, to keep myself distracted while trying to be safe from my self.4. I choose to make a fanfiction of "The Novel's Extra" as I don't trully know how to write, and because I really loved that webnovel, though there are some points I didn't particulary liked.5. If you see some (let's be clear, really much) self insertion on this series, well, that may be me trying to escape reality, to which I make an early warning and disclaimer, and also ask for forgiveness, as I said before, this is more of an excercise, so don't take it too serious.6. I'll be a slow writer, as I have to still check a few things from the novel, even when I've read it like 3 or 4 times already, and because I know shit about writing a novel or a series.7. If you get to enjoy this, then that's good, I would be glad about it, maybe even more motivated, but I don't really expect this to be any good. Thanks to you all who may, or may not, be reading this novel./
