《Unnatural Disaster || JJK ✔️》Chapter 45: Text pt.1 [Edited]

"So, what you guys think?" looking up from my computer I took turn in glancing at all the shocked faces lining up behind me, four pairs of appalled eyes staring at the screen as the truth regarding Myung-Dae's death just unfurled on it. Jungkook and I had returned home from the station a while ago and the first thing I did once I was inside the premise was to turn on my laptop and letting it all out.
"It was Sang-Ook all along? But he was such a nice man!" the scepticism was colossal in Jin's voice as his gaze remained sharply anchored on the certain footage. Clearly he was having a hard time taking it all in. "How could he?"
"Is this even authentic?" I heard Jimin utter through the thick layer of anxiety and his words made me turn my gaze swiftly at him.
"Are you doubting my hacking skills?" I roared with fake annoyance lacing my voice as the opportunity of briefly breaking the 72+ hours long unease just crossed my mind.
"NO, no" he raised his hands in defense before letting out a sheepish smile thereby making the others break out in laughter. And honestly, it felt good to see them relax even for a bit. The stress of not having Y/N around was still opaque in our cognition but such little distractions were highly needed as well for us to get our shits together and not freak our selves out. The last thing Y/N needed right now was for us to mess up our composure and propel her towards more danger.
"See, Jimin doesn't want to enrage his soulmate" Hoseok smirked making the aforementioned scowl at him.
"I'm not a push over hyung. I'm just being the bigger person here and letting the younger have his way. After all, I'm his elder hyung-"
"Elder, sure.....but definitely not bigger" Jungkook's comment rendered Jimin right back on his sullen face and he balled his eyes at all of us.

"This is not fair, you are ganging up on me" he whined and an other round of laughter rang through the space. For the first time in days had we felt a ray of hope penetrate the dark fog. And why wouldn't we? After all, we had no idea that the worst tragedy of all was lurking right around the corner, waiting to befall.
"But Taehyung, why all of sudden did you scavenge for this year old footage of the hospital?" Jin asked making a prominent smirk spread across my face. Oh how long had I been waiting for someone to come up with this question and give me the perfect opportunity to showoff my critical thinking and motives.
"Umm hyung, do you remember the conference we had where we discussed about the Buzzards?" I asked, warming up for the explanation ahead.
"Yeah.....the one after the warehouse attack, right?"
"Yes. During that time, Y/N had this conjecture about the Buzzards being somehow involved in Myung-Dae's death. And since we are pinning them as our prime suspect in Y/N's disappearance as well, I thought surveying the past might bring in significant clues regarding the present situation" I shrugged before earning the exact reaction I fancied.
"That's actually......genius" Hoseok exclaimed making it harder for me to refrain my proliferating beam.
"Thanks" I responded, a little shy.
However, with the passing seconds the laughter dimmed down and the ambience got heavier. Once again, with eyebrows scrunched and foreheads wrinkled, we returned to rummaging our brains for possible answers.
"This explains why the Buzzards knew so much about us, Sang-Ook was leading them all along" Jimin raked his fingers through his hair while heaving a deep shy.
"But what could be his motive behind this? I mean, uncle Myung was his friend, why would he betray his own friend like that" Jin solicited for answers and Yoongi obliged.
"Could it be that he wanted more than what he was offered, power; money; or perhaps position?"

As soon as the thought was put forward, all of us went into a daze, a reverie that made us ponder upon the gravity of the conception and exactly how much potential it held of being accurate.
"I remember appa and Sang-Ook having some sort of fight before everything went down. We didn't know what the fight was about but it sure was a big one because Sang-Ook left for Thailand that very night. And he only came back months later, after we informed him about appa's critical condition" Yoongi continued, only to be interrupted by Jin with another shocking revelation.
"Wait, didn't he leave the same day that uncle Myung declared Y/N as the next leader?......Oh my God, he wanted to be the leader himself" a gasp fled his mouth, while some others followed suit.
"And clearly he didn't leave for Thailand either. Instead he stayed back, hid himself, and planned all of this" I chimed in, earning some concurring nods.
"Also, this was the period when Min Jun joined our gang, which only implies that he was never turned. Rather he was working against us the entire time!" Hoseok added to the concoction of possibilities.
"Shit guys, all this is too hard to digest" whined a vexed Jimin.
By now the schematics of the whole situation was vivid in our minds and the explanation that we somehow came up with seemed too genuine to be disregarded. What could have Sang-Ook wanted which would be more lavish than the leadership of a freaking mafia?
And the concept also explained the current scenario distinctly. Obviously Sang-Ook still wanted the mafia and hence he kidnapped Y/N because she was the only one who could give him that.
All this was too messed up and it was only going to get messier.
We had barely been able to handle the theory when a shrill ring echoed in the massive room. And the ring noticeably emerged from Yoongi's pocket. The man immediately fished his phone out only to reveal a notification on his screen, which was a text message from an unknown number.
He looked up at us for a brief second before glancing back down at the glowing screen that was now displaying a video clip from an anonymous sender.
Yoongi played the video and soon we noticed his face contort into lumps of distress which had us gathering behind him for a quick glance and once we did that, we knew exactly what had happened.
The video showed a shabby looking room with little to no lighting. The room had nothing, no furniture, doors or windows, just a petite figure, restrained with thick ropes, lying lifelessly on the dirty floor. And the figure was none other than Y/N.
"No..." a wheezing breath came from Yoongi, the phone was starting to shake in his hands.
The girl had nasty looking cuts all over her hands and legs but the worst was the one on her cheek. Her flesh was ruthlessly sliced open and a layer of clotted blood clenched on her skin. Apart from the sharp wounds, there were several bruises and purple patches all over her exposed skin and the clothes she was wearing were the same that she had left in three days ago, that were now stained and greasy with blood and dirt.
"What have they done?" Hoseok's voice trembled with agony and a drop of moisture rolled down his pale cheeks, marking the beginning of a heart wrenching hour for all of us.
"We need t-" Jin couldn't finish his sentence as a voiceover boomed through the video. The sound was mechanical as if the speaker was using a voice changer or something. Stupid mother-f*cker only knows how to hide.
With that the video cut off, and drops of painful tears started staining the rug underneath into a much darker shade.
A/N - This chapter is a two part chapter and the next part will begin from where this one left.
