《Unnatural Disaster || JJK ✔️》Chapter 7: Code Red [Edited]

"It's a code red" Taehyung's words played in my head on repeat as I raced my car through the dark streets of Seoul. Code red meant we were under attack and it wasn't a very pleasant one. I had quite a handful of men enforced in the warehouse security as it was the cold storage for our supplies but the significance of a code red implied that a lot of them were already down.
The car came to a screeching halt as I pulled the breaks a few yards away. The warehouse was built by my father far away from the city, at the end of a deserted ally way with the only intention to keep it concealed from the public eye. The streets were eerily dark with no minimum illumination and the chirping of crickets at a distance only added to the mystery of the sinister locality. Being more than 50 years old, the building stood on subsided bricks and cracked plaster. However it made the place look even more unappealing there by serving a greater good.
Collecting my fully loaded Glock 34 from the storage unit I jumped out of my Prussian Blue Lincoln Continental. I was all dressed for an action packed evening in my combat garments and clicking my way into the ghastly dwelling I recoiled my weapon ready to kick and shoot some butts.
The fatigued windows of the second floor shivered to the beat of the gun shots flaring up the building while a dark smoke of demolition escaped through the vents of the basement. The damage was inevitable. However, a little bit of hope ignited my heart when I saw our backup fighters arriving at the scene behind me. I had called them right after talking to Taehyung. Signaling them to surround the place I sprinted to the secret entrance behind the building. It was a concealed passage through a dumpster that no one but me and the five boys knew about.

I crawled into the dark empty dumpster and in no time I was inside the building. I was a bit surprised to see the fake wall hiding the passage already broken but I didn't pay much attention to it. I stepped in through the dark abyss and was immediately greeted by a worried looking Taehyung.
"What's the scene Tae?" I asked in a hushed tone.
"Most of our men are down and the boys are trying to hold back the intruders. The security system is completely ruined though. The attack was totally unexpected....." Taehyung huffed while reloading his gun with 9mm ammo. The thunderous clangor of the bullets scorched the tranquility of the place and an inescapable battle of life and death awaited us.
"I have brought back up, they are waiting outside. Send the half of them to the basement and tell the rest to keep guard. Also collect all the wounded men and take them outside. Take your M25 and try to keep a close watch on the exits. None of the attackers should leave here alive, understood?"
"Got it"
I watched as Taehyung disappeared behind the dark tunnel. He went on his mission and now it was my turn. Wrapping my fingers firmly around my weapon, I dashed into the fiery chamber ready to do what it takes. The room was booming with agony. On entering I noticed Yoongi tackling two of the masked adversaries with his rough punches while Hoseok shot them down in a row. Jimin was pouring his bullets down on the opponents from behind a pillar and Jin backed him up. I quickly hid myself behind an empty wooden carton and started shooting at a distance.
The battle went on in full force as our bullets marked their territories on our enemies' flesh. The men had already reduced to half and victory didn't seem unachievable. I came out of my hiding and made my way to Jimin while keeping my weapon up.

"Go outside. Taehyung is already there with the injured men. Make arrangements for their first aid" I whispered into his ears to which he nodded and left while I kept his back. I shot one of the men he was fighting, square between the eye brows and kicked the other one hard on his abdomen. The man knelt down in pain and I took the opportunity to lodge a bullet into his cranium splattering more blood on the already crimson floor. The night reeked of grievous demolition.
I looked up from the corpses only to see Jin in an uncomfortable position with his riffle out of ammo and three men charging at him. Without wasting a single second I yelled his name loudly tossing my gun to him. My voice created a distraction for the attackers and Jin used the opportunity perfectly to knock them dead. However all this commotion diverted me and I only realized that when a violent smack landed on the back of my head.
For a brief moment my vision blurred out but thanks to all those nasty training sessions, it didn't take me much to recover. I turned around to perceive a masked visage towering me with a baseball bat in his clutch. I clenched my jaw at his audacity of attacking me from behind and gathering up all my vigor I planted my tightened fist on his face. The man shaped building didn't fall from the impact but he did falter a little and I used it to my advantage. I seized the bat out of his clutch and rained another hit, this time on his torso. Once again he staggered behind and I took a small leap to place a well positioned kick on his crotch. Oh how I loved hitting men there.
However, it wasn't as much fun for him as it was for me and he rose up to his might, approaching me like a walking dead. His eyes held an aura of intimidation but I wasn't called Kim Brute for no reason. Flipping the bat around I hit him in the head with the back of the wooden object breaking it in the process. I them elbowed him right on his nose and grabbed a bunch of his hair, smashing his already wounded head into the nearby wall. The man fell limp on the floor declaring my victory.
Breathing deep to gain back the oxygen I turned around to see that the only people standing were me and the three boys, Yoongi, Jin and Hoseok. All were covered in blood, either theirs or others and the room echoed with their loud huffing. The ringing of the guns had totally stopped, re-establishing the serenity but that was until a blood curdling explosion shook the entire building.
"!!!" Yoongi broke one of the front windows and one by one led us out of the snapping building. We jumped out and luckily the rest of the survivors along with Taehyung and Jimin were already there. No body dared to utter any word as we witnessed the warehouse burning down into flames in front of our eyes.
"Million dollars of supplies down the gutter" Jimin spoke up while running his fingers through his disheveled bangs.
"Sure the damage is huge but we are still alive" Jin tried to lighten up the mood.
Overwhelmed from all the events I plopped my tired self on the cold grass and closed my eyes but was forced to open them again as a revolting thought hit my mind,
"Where the hell is Jungkook?........"

Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
