《Swans's Romance》1// Hi - Swans

Hi, my name is Swans, like Hans, but Swans. I'm just an average nerd at Grass Sneary High. My best friend is named Woth, like With but with an O. And I am in love with the most popular girl in the cul-de-sac. Her name is Crows, like Rose, but not. I'm constantly bullied by these jocks called Hawks and Toucans. They're mean and won't stop shoving me in stuff.

"Dude!" Woth interjects. "You're thinking about her again, aren't you?"

"Uh.... No!" I deny, blushing profusely.

"Uh-huh, sure, Swans," he smirks. "You know she's way out of your league, right?"

"Yeah," I reply dejectedly.

At this moment, Crows walks in with her two best friends Robin and Raven.

"Hey," Woth snaps in front of my face. "Man, you still with us?"

"O-oh," I reply. "Yeah." I hadn't realized I was staring.

Then Woth turned and saw the group, his eyes immediately glazing over.

I groaned. He'd had an irrational crush on Raven since the fifth grade.

Following close behind them was Crows' little sister Dove. Her arms were raised as if the trio had run from her, and she held a piece of paper in her hand.

"Wait up, guys!" I could hear her yell.

Robin glanced behind them and turned back to Crows. "Oh. You left your sister behind again."

Crows rolled her eyes. "I know," she told Robin.

At this moment, Dove caught up to the group, and finally stopped to take a breath. "Guys- you guys lost me over in D hall, yeah?"

"Oh, yeah," Raven confirmed. "We would've looked for you, but we didn't want to be late."

"Oh," Dove smiled. "Okay."

Dove turned her head, and then gasped upon spotting Woth, who groaned.

In a moment, she had rushed over to us.

"Hi, Woth!" Dove gushed.

"Hi, Dove," Woth responded.

"I drew you!" Dove blurted, raising her drawing. "What do you think?"

"Oh, yeah, it's good," Woth muttered. "Hey, Raven!"

"Oh... hey," Raven cringed, turning back to her friends.

Then, our friend Scissortail (S.T.) walked in, patting Woth on the back and sitting down between us.

"Hey, S.T.," we chimed.

"Hey, boys," she replied, biting down on a Pocky stick that she had pulled from her backpack.

She then glanced to the trio of popular girls, and her entire face went red.

"Um.... S.T.?" I asked in a concerned tone.

"Godammit, does everyone in this group like one of them?" Woth complained.

"Uh.... No!" S.T. yelled defensively.

Then, Robin and S.T. locked eyes and exchanged an awkward wave.

"You were saying?" Woth smirked.

"Fine," S.T. huffed. "I might have a crush on her."

We were in science class now. Well, by 'we', I mean me, S.T., and Robin. They sit together in front of me. Right now, the teacher had stepped out and they'd been talking for a few minutes.

"So," I heard Robin say. "Are you doing Friday night?"

In return, S.T. gave a flustered giggle and replied, "Probably not, unless Peacock has another baseball game.."

Robin laughed. "If Friday's not good for you, we can try another day."

S.T. have another flustered laugh and said, "Oh, I don't want to take away from your weekend plans."

"You won't," Robin promised. "So how about tonight, then?"
