《Indelible Affairs》⚜️Chapter 58⚜️

"Stop with the nervousness, they'll be here soon." I glared at Enos by the edge of the pond. He's making me panic with his growing paranoia.
He instantly shot back at me,"Excuse me, but you're not the one with a deranged psychopath for a stepfather who watches every move you make." Enos picked up a rock and threw it at the pond, causing water to splashing all over me as he stepped back, protecting himself.
I immediately jolted, moving further from the water source. "Seriously....? My hair______ ." It took ages fixing it up this morning and now it's falling on my face.
"Ughhh____C'mon! Enos!!" Is it ridiculous that I wanted to perhaps, maybe, sorta... cry? Or scream?
Enos laughed humorously as I whined while ruffling my brown curls.
"That's just water Elisabeth, no need to stress over it."
"What?" I began wiping my orange sundress with a huge frown on my face. "I hate you"
Enos chuckled, "Spoken like a true___LIAR." He phrased.
"Sometimes I forget what a nuisance Enos White can be. You're already ruining my day before the kids arrive." I said.
It was a sunny day, thankfully, and the place was just perfect for chilling out. Enos mentioned his siblings enjoy swimming and food and the sun...... the typical Florida civilians basically. And since I'm the guru of sneaking around, I advised Enos to bring them here.
This specific place is very secluded. My brothers discovered it long ago and would always hangout and relax here. Its centered in the woods and outside of town so nobody is going to find us.
"Well___sorry." Enos said mischievously with a smirk on his face. "On the bright side, we're now both frustrated."
My jaw dropped to the sand, "So that's the plan???Real smart...." I faked a gag, placing two fingers by my mouth and choking on nothingness.
He laughed again. "You still look great though, with the drenched hair and all."
I flushed, right then and there. What a interesting way to remind me of our heated make out session that happened three nights ago in his bathroom. The same session that Enos has been ignoring to talk about.
Often, I tend to think that Enos regrets kissing me back that day. That's why he won't bring the subject up. As if none of it ever happened.
I'm not the one who was pressing myself by the wall while literally swallowing me whole. I didn't make myself moan nor held myself.
And not to forget, WE WERE BOTH SOBER. sobest____if that's even a word.
"Why don't you try it then? If you think I look so fantastic." I folded my arms, my eyes fixed on his lean form a few feet away from me.
Today, if I'm honest, Is probably the best I have seen Enos dress. He was......GOD!!!!!!! Perfect seems like an understatement. The way his lose t-shirt hung his broad shoulders, those pants, and yes-- the handsome face that comes along with it. Everything about Enos today screamed 'Care free'.
If only he would quit being worked up about this little plan of ours. The arrangement is absolute genius. I recalculated over and over the details of the limited time we are to spend. The kids will ask for permission to visit the city for a few hours to do some shopping, an excuse to meet up here. After they reach the abstracts of town, April will drive them to us. Easy as that.
But Nooooo, Enos has to second guess everything.

I understand that his father has the map of this town at the back of his head. But, I'm also very positive that he wouldn't think to search here. There's no freaking way. He will check every other places first before driving all the way up. The man will probably go by the city to make sure that Enos isn't dragging the kids to every store.
And by then, we'll be back at our home town already.
"Go ahead Enos.... Take a dive and lets see how gorgeous you turn out." I challenged, raising my hands in the direction of the pond.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you Elisabeth?" He grinned at me with a daring stare.
I scoffed averting my gaze, "Don't get any ideas. I only want you to get a taste of your own medicine and nothing else."
Enos walked closer to me, his face inches from mine. "And what taste is that?" His breath was so fresh, minty, inviting.
Heavens help me!
Taking a step back would mean that I'm intimidated by his indevour. And yes, Enos has been fucking up my head space in tempting ways but he doesn't have to know that.
Staring up at him, "So you are interesting in finding out?"
Enos doesn't seem disturbed by our close proximity, infact, the flicker in his blue eyes indicated otherwise.
"I wasn't interested before, up until you offered." He replied, his chest hovering a top mine.
"Offered?" I raised a brow. "It wasn't an offer rather a suggestion."
It feels as though we're not talking about splashing water anymore.
Lately, I tend to notice every single thing about Enos. I can't help but watch the guy at times. Traits of him that I never saw before are prominent now.
"Enos, what are you doing?" He lifted me up instantly, pressing my body against his own, caging me between his arms and heading straight to the pond.
"Let's go for a swim." The smirk on his face.
"No." I retorted. "Put me down Enos. Right now." I hit his chest but he didn't flinch.
He was strong, obviously, and his tough arms were holding me in place that I couldn't even move a muscle. "It'll be fun." Enos cooed.
"I don't want it." I panicked.
I can't swim. I never have and I don't want to start now.
"Stop it." We were slowly leaving shore and getting right in the middle of it. "I can't swim."
Enos chuckled lightly. "Of course you can."
I swallowed on air while holding his shoulders, "No I can't. I'm being serious Enos."
He laughed. "I'll hold onto you real tight." His hands on the back of my thighs proved his point.
"I don't want to." I looked around the water, it was deep and I was getting really nervous now.
"We'll get our clothes wet." I protested. Proving an excuse.
"What's wrong with that?"
I glared at him. The kids are gonna be here soon. We won't get time to dry up by then. "Are you insane?"
"Only for you."
My heart fell as I lost words.
"I'll lend you my tshirt." He offered.
"This isn't necessary. We'll swim later."
He looked up at me with his eyes, those rich eyes. And I couldn't help but stare into them. His face only inches from mine, his breathe blowing on my crimson flushed cheeks and his lips parted. "Don't be afraid of me." He said.

"I'm not afraid of you." I breathed lightly, clinging to his shoulders as I felt the water on my legs.
"I won't let you drown." Enos assured as we slowly descended into the pond. His hands moving upward, from my thighs and onto my waist. Placing me impossibly closer to him as we got wet.
The water wasn't as cold, it was already heated by the sun and thus slightly warm. It felt good on my skin.
The lower parts of my dress floated on the surface, and I couldn't help but fluster from how Enos cautiously stared at my legs. The water was so clear and clean. I tried to pull the dress down but it didn't work.
"I'm not looking." He said, with his eyes still on my thighs.
"I see that." A laugh left my lips.
"Well Pardon me miss for I can't take my eyes of you." Enos smiled at me.
"What are we doing?" I asked him as I rested my hands on his shoulders again. Enos seemed to enjoy our closeness, he held onto my waist tightly, his gaze fixed on my face.
"We're floating on water." He replied.
"That's not what I mean."
"Then what do you mean Elisabeth?" His hands drew me to him, chest to chest. I was nervous again, the intensity of which Enos looked at me made me slightly weak and I don't even know why I was reacting to him in that sort of way.
I was breathing heavily too. And I couldn't help but notice that his breathing was changing as well.
"You know exactly what I mean."
He leaned his forehead on mine as his hands lifted my naked thighs to wrap my legs around his waist. And I didn't protest to that compromising position. The feeling of those hands on my exposed skin was hard to explain.
"Are you comfortable this way." His lips hovered on mine. I could only nod as I felt his large hands roaming my back this time.
The proximity was slowly driving me insane. We were so close to each other, I could sense the heat rise, the nerves getting anxious and excited, and the urges that I didn't understand surfacing.
So I leaned into him. "Enos__" I exhaled.
The way he was looking at me, that's what melted me the most. Enos wasn't hiding it, yes, he wanted me. "You're so beautiful."
I held his hair in a weak grasp as the feelings emerged. "Please."
"Hold your breath." He told me and so I did. And then Enos lead us into a dive underwater.
We were submerged in it, and I was weightless, I felt lighter, free as though something was lifted from my shoulder. Now I understood why people enjoyed the ocean, there's nothing as thrilling as being underwater.
But before I could adjust to it, Enos was pulling us up.
"Again." I said.
Enos laughed. "Thought you hated the water."
"I change my mind." I smiled at him.
So Enos took another dive with me. And inside that pond, I opened my eyes. He was staring at me, and even in the water I could see the way his eyes burned.
I was running out of air but I didn't want to rise yet. And Enos sensed that, so he held my cheek with his right hand and planted his lips on mine, spreading my mouth open with his tasteful tongue and breathing into me. The connection was undeniable, and waves of bliss spread on my belly, across my lips and on my insides.
We rose again after a short while. Panting and gasping for air.
"Over there." I heard a voice yelling from shore. "ENOS."
A young boy, probably age six was waving for us from a far distance, smiling at us with excitement. "They are in the water guys, we aren't lost and I knew it."
"Told you it's this way." A petite teenager, beautiful, came running from the woods and calling out to April. "We found them April, come to the other side."
Enos chuckled, "They seem happy to see us."
"You mean happy to see their brother." I corrected, smiling as I witnesses everyone else running from the woods and towards shore.
I tried to push aside the previous moment we shared in the deep. And even as Enos carried me from the pond, I ignored the stares from his siblings.
When he put me down, the kids came jumping on him, laughing and cheering. "We missed you." They said.
Enos told me about them on the way here.
The youngest boy with brunette hair is Jake. The girl with shiny olive skin, blonde hair and freckles is Cassandra, she's fifteen. And Lana is the one with long wavey black hair, gorgeous and tall. She's turning seventeen soon. The oldest of the four and second to Enos is called Chad. He's very similar to Enos in appearance, same eyes.
"So this is the new one!" Chad patted Enos's shoulder as they all turned to face me. "She's actually really pretty."
I almost froze.
Uh!
"They are friends Chad, remember what April said earlier." Jake slapped his brother's arm. "Don't tease Enos infront of his crush."
Cassandra instantly placed her hand on Jake's mouth. "Shut the fuck up you two. You will ruin Enos's chances with her."
And her eyes went wide and she spanked her head.
"Idiots." Lana rolled her eyes. "This is exactly what I warned you about Enos, they won't be able to shut up about it."
Enos silently looked at me, sorta nervous and that made me blush. He told them about me. What did he say?
"Enough guys." He said seriously.
Jake faced him and mouthed a sorry.
"Elisabeth, meet my family." Enos invited with enthusiasm. I felt very flattered to be honest and extremely shy.
I smiled. "Nice to meet you guys."
"Same here." Cassandra replied as the rest nodded fondly.
"Thanks for introducing us to this pond. This place is freaking cool." Chad praised as he threw a rock in the water. "Now I know where to bring Natalie."
"Eewww." Jake grimaced.
"This isn't a place to bring those hoes of yours." Lana scolded. "Take them somewhere else."
"They ain't hoes." He defended.
Cassandra laughed. "Yes they are. You date the sluttiest of girls from the cheerleading squad."
"Whatever." He brushed her off.
Jake looks a lot like Enos, Chad as well. But Cassandra and the rest resembled each other with bright facial features and mesmerizing eyes. And they seemed close, you could tell from how they interacted that they are a tight family.
After that, I and Enos went to his car to get the stuff we prepared for everyone. It was my chance to grab a towel and his Tshirt to dry off. Enos wore a vest and joggers for a change and in no time, we were all enjoying a picnic by the shore and having a fun time.
It was good watching Enos catch up with his family, they were so happy together. Without a care in the world and enjoying every second of every minute spent together. They told jokes, shared their stories from school, talked about home while avoiding speaking of their parents.
They reminded me of my brothers. I wish they didn't leave me behind, I wonder if they miss me as how I miss them.
"So are you together now?" April whispered in my ears as everyone else ate lunch.
"Uh!" I stared at her. "Who?"
She rolled her eyes. "Don't pretend to be clueless. I've notice that you and Enos are getting way too comfortable with each other and don't even deny it cause I'm witnessing it."
"Its not in the ways you are imagining. We are just friends, April." I said. "And I'm not pretending. We aren't together."
She scoffed. "Oh really now?"
"Yeah."
April smirked. "Then why has Enos been staring at you all this time with those love sick eyes and stupid smile on his face."
I quickly raised my head to look at him, our eyes made contact for a second before he shifted his gaze to Jake who was cutting fruits.
"I know you have something going on with him." She teased. "You have that blush on your cheeks."
I lightly shoved her. "Keep it down, they'll here you."
"So it's true then." She beamed.
"No it's not." I replied.
