I'd give a lot to shake the thoughts in my mind tonight, her rosy lips and whispering smile made my heart ache. I had first met up with her when the sky was dimming, the sun glowing golden rays over the town and the entire time I couldn't help but think how amazing Lola looked in a sunset. Her friend Mona accompanied her and Louis, glancing at me when I'd be caught staring at Lola while she watched the performances. Her eyes lighting up when Louis stepped on stage, his hair turning into a damp mess and his lungs hurting from the cigarette he chained smoked between each song.
Somehow my friends managed to pick up on my gloomy mood, asking if I wanted to go about ten times, but each time I nodded a no. I did want to leave but I wanted to stay and look at Lola more, even if it hurt to see her glow with each glance he gave her I knew she was mine to think about but not touch.
Right now it was almost 11:34pm, the time ticking by slowly as I sat on a uncomfortable stool beside Sean, who was checking out a blonde girl at the bar. Lola disappeared with her group a little over twenty minutes ago, causing my thoughts to become quite dim and lost as I wondered if she would even remember my damn name come monday morning. I sipped on my warming drink, letting some of the bitterness seep into my veins and maybe remove some of my hurt tonight – just for a little while.
I had noticed a brunette from across the pub glance at me a few times the past half an hour, her eyes were a dreamy green contrast to her darker features. I gave her a smile, one I knew would catch her attention more. I debated whether I should go over to her green eyes and whether it would make me feel better, create another master piece with another girl. But the blue eyed girl stole my thoughts, she danced in my dreams and smiled in my nightmares. Her scent had become so familiar to me that I knew she was here even before I turned around.
"Hi."
"Hi, Harry." She spoke my name carefully, like it was almost forbidden. "Our friend Sam is having a party at his place now, maybe you guys wanted to come by?"
I turn back to my friends to see their faces were eager to get out of this pub and go to a party, Ethan gleaming a white smile at me. I sigh but ultimately agree to make an attendance with my friends, Lola sounds excited as she responds and gives me the address, bidding a quick goodbye before skipping off towards Louis. He puts his tattooed arm around her shoulder as they exit the pub with the group of people following, my hands shake and I divert my eyes down in stinging pain.

I was such a fool being so infatuated with a girl taken by another.

Life went in slow motion as I walked through the group of intoxicated teens dancing on the floor, each girl showing signs of longing and loneliness as they crept up to the closest suitor to find temporary love. I searched for the dark hair twirling around the blue eyed girl, her white dress flowing like flowers in the wind and her red face sporting a wonderful smile. I felt sweaty bodies against mine, pushing me away from the one girl I wanted.
"Lola!" I called, catching her attention.
She stops dancing and smiles at me, her chest rising up and down, the sweat on her face made her glow under the light. I smile back, mouthing my request to her in hopes she will understand.
"Can I talk to you?"
She seems to understand and nods to me, but as a girl pushes into me to dance I find myself forced away from Lola and pulled into a busty blond girl instead. Her eyes were a different shade of blue to what I adored, the dull colour looked at me with lust as she swayed her hips into mine. I wasn't the type of guy to bluntly tell a girl to fuck off, but right now that's all I wanted to do. I politely smile at the girl as I glide my body away from hers, searching around the crowd again in pursuit of blue eyes and plump lips. I see the girls face drop as I'm pulled by the shirt away from her, the crowd bumping into me as a mystery person drags me out to the open.
"Someone was a little too friendly." Lola laughs as I face her, my own features flabbergasted from the series of events. I laugh as I gaze at her sweaty features, her lipstick was slightly smeared on her bottom lip and her hair a tangled mess.
"You wanted to talk?"
"Oh right," I say nervously. "Is there somewhere quieter?"
Her eyes glisten. "Follow me."
I follow closely behind her as she leads me to the back door, the night air welcoming me as I step out the door.
My friends and I had arrived to the party not even an hour ago, the entire home in full swing when we opened the door. Sam, a blue haired boy with a crooked grin, welcomed us to his home. The magnitude of the structure made me believe this wasn't exactly his home rather his parents, it was still a wonderful home to admire with the white grand staircase and marble floors. But the rest of the night wasn't as marvellous, after my friends found better things to occupy themselves with I found myself alone on the couch drinking away. It was when Louis kissed Lola goodbye I got up, briefly analysing her until she started dancing away and my heart leaped into the stars. She was such a vision as her white dress swayed with her body, goosebumps on her legs as the sweaty bodies danced along side her. I took a chance to be near her and decided to ask her to talk, little did I know that would mean I'd be completely alone with her in the backyard with nothing to talk about.

We were sat on a cold, damp hammock. The large garden surrounding us creating a beautiful atmosphere with lights dangling around the trees. I mentally scolded myself for not bringing a coat as my breath fans out in a white smog, joining Lola's as she sighs.
"So," She says. "What did you want to talk about?"
I stay silent for a moment, raking my mind to find something logical to say without her thinking I was just plain strange for asking to talk; with nothing to talk about. Maybe I was but I didn't want her to think that, she was almost like an angel to me and I was merely one of her many stars that admired her galaxy.
We are both startled as a creature emerges from the dark, a beautiful husky greeting us with a tongue filled smile. I mentally thank the animal as it lets me run my hands through its fur, the warmth comforting as the dog enjoys our affection. Lola is now occupied by the dog and mutters sweet talk to it making its tail go wild with excitement, I admire the one blue one brown eye as the dog looks up at me. Almost like the arctic and desert in this animals eyes, such an amazing contrasts of colours.
"This is Luna," Lola states. "Sam rescued her about two years ago, my dad helped him with the whole thing."
"That's pretty cool."
"Yeah," She says, still admiring the dog as it takes every bit of attention from us. "They were going to put her down, but Sam couldn't let that happen. Even after his parents denied him to save her, he still did."
"Well, I'm really glad he did." I state with a smile.
"Me too," A sigh escapes her lips. "Everyone loves her now, even his parents." She giggles.
Silence falls over us and I find it comforting now, Lola took too much interest in the lovely dog seeking attention from us now and it made the situation less awkward. I didn't need to think of anything to occupy her thoughts with now and keeping her around was all I wanted, the husky providing that for me without even knowing. I mentally laugh, watching Lola cuddle the animal with affection.
The stars illuminated over us, with the moon glowing against the bare skin on Lola's back. I take the time to notice a tattoo on her right shoulder, the black outline of mountains made me smile as she reached for the dog below, muscles retracting and moving under the pale skin. I wanted so badly to put my cold hand on her skin, feel the bones beneath and feel the warmth of her soft skin against mine. I almost take action to hold her in my hands, but she sits up in an instant making me flinch back. I force a smile on my lips to her as she stares at me, returning the gesture.
"You have very beautiful eyes, Harry." Her announcement makes me stiffen, never would I expect her to say something like that to me.
"T-Thank you." I stutter my words, suddenly noticing how nervous I was as my hands grew clammy. Lola grins at me, placing a cold hand over mine now and entwining the fingers together to create a wonderful connection between us. I hear my heart beat against my chest, my thoughts jumbled as we touch.
Reality catches up as the back door screeches open, a panting girl with worried brown eyes searches around the dimly lit back yard.
"Lola?" She calls, her voice frantic.
Lola removes her hand from mine in a split second, standing to her feet and leaving me swaying on the lonely hammock with a cold hand and messy mind. She calls back to the girl with worry, her body tense as I watch her. The girl steps outside to jog to the blue eyed girl, her body fuelled with worry now.
"Louis' in a fight."
I can almost see the blood drain from Lola as she hears the words, sprinting inside with the brown eyed girl.
