Ash: Bastard!!

Ash fires his shotgun and the boy as he backflips into the air, dodging all the shots.

Bianca kneels down to Riley's body and holds his head in her lap.

Bianca: Riley. Please say something!

She shakes him as his head is all limp. Bianca began to tear up.

Bianca: Please!

Matilda puts her hand on Bianca's shoulder.

Matilda: He's gone Bianca. I'm sorry.

Bianca looks at her then back at Riley before gently resting his head down on the ground and standing up.

Ash gets hit into a tree as the black haired male walks towards him.

Matilda: Ash!

She turns her boomerang back into its rifle form and fires at the male catching his attention.

She charges transforming he rifle back into is boomerang form and slashing at the boy as he does his best deflecting the attacks. They get into a blade lock. The boy towers over her as he pushes her down onto her knees.

Matilda: What do you want?!

The boy looks at Ash getting up as Bianca decides to charging at the boy.

He gets out of the blade lock and backflips away from Bianca's slash attack.

She goes for a leg sweep which he jumps over but Matilda comes in with her boomerang and pulls the trigger at the bottom as the barrel on the boomerangs end shoots, giving her slash more power as she goes towards the boy. The boy sees and puts his sword up and successfully blocks but gets sent into a tree.

Bianca and Matilda stand side to side with each other panting.

Bianca: I thought you crippled him?

Matilda: I did! The blade would have been deep enough to get his spine and paralyse him. Even put him in a state of shock.

Ash comes to them and looks at the boy slowly get up again.

Ash: I don't care if we have to deliver him to a cell in pieces! He killed my best friend!

Ash runs at the boy with his weapon in its double edged sword form as the boy bends down picking up some dirt. The boy ducks under Ash as he turns around, he throws dirt in his eyes.

Ash: Gah. Shit!

The black haired boy then slashes Ash's chest causing a cut to appear on his chest. He then bring his sword down on Ash's arm causing the leader to yell in pain as he was brought to his knees.

Matilda: No!

She charges at the boy but he disappears causing her to stop and look around.

Bianca: Gah!!

She turns to see Bianca get launched into a tree but get up again straight away and charge at the boy.

Matilda picks ash up gently and puts him against a tree. His aura began to heal his wounds but then flashes and turns into particles that float off of Ash's body.

Matilda: You're aura is gone. Rest here until your ready to fight again.

Ash nods.

Ash: Go help Bianca babe I'll be fine.

She smiles and kisses his forehead before running at the black haired boy.

The boy gets into a blade lock with Bianca.

Bianca: Just who are you..???

The boy looks behind him to see Matilda rapidly approaching. She goes to swing at him but is stopped as she's held up just off the ground. She looks to see a hand covered in dark aura, that originated from the boys shadow, was holding her up by her hands.

Bianca: What the shit...?

The boy returns his gaze back to Bianca as he pushes her away and backhands her in the face then kicks her away as the giant hand behind him, holding Matilda, throws Matilda into a tree.

Bianca growls and runs at him only for him to grab her wrist and twist it making her let go of her sword. He then delivers a headbutt to Bianca's nose making her aura flash and disappear into particles as the boy choke slams her into the ground.

She looks up at the boy weakly and crawls away as he follows her slowly. Suddenly the boy is hit by scattered bullets as he looks to see Ash leaning against a tree with his weapon in its double barrel shotgun form, aiming at him.

The boy turns to the wounded Ash as Matilda picks her weapon back up by the end and holds it up. She then throws it at the boy but the boy sees it coming and turns to it. His sword disappears as he puts his hand out and catches the end of the boomerang weapon before spinning and throwing it in Ash's direction, the speed increased on the spin compared to Matilda.

Ash: Oh...

The sound of flesh being cut followed by a tree collapsing is heard as Bianca and Matilda look to see Ash's body cut in half diagonally from his left side of his stomach up to the right side of his shoulder.

Matilda's eyes widened as she took a step forward.

Matilda: A-Ash??

Bianca looks in disbelief as she turns her attention back to the boy.

Bianca: What have you done?!?!

The boy looks at the female Faunas from team AMBR to see her full of rage as she runs at him with her fist raised. The boy simply steps aside and trips her as she face plants into the dirt. She sees her sword and crawls to it as the boy raised his brow and looked at Matilda seeing her shake and fall to her knees.

Matilda: No. No No No!! Not you! Ash!!

She had tears in her eyes as she grips the dirt with her shaking hands.

???: ...Perfect.

Bianca grabs her sword and takes a swipe at the boy but he disappears and reappears in front of Matilda causing her body to jolt and look up at the black haired boy. She growls and stand up quickly taking a swing at him only for him to grab her wrist. She uses her free hand to take another swing but the dark hand from his shadow appears and holds that hand.

With his free hand, a dark aura surrounds it as he places it over her eyes and she screams.

Bianca: Matilda!

She goes for the boy only for him to disappear again only with Matilda this time.

She looks around until she spots him and her in a tree, his yellow burning eyes staring at her as he has Matilda in a headlock as she struggles to break free with his hand still over her eyes. His gaze turns towards Matilda as he whispers in her ear.

???: I need you to pass on a message for me please.

She stops struggling as her hands fall to her sides as he uncovers her eyes showing they're closed as her breath is steady. He holds her bridal style and jumps off the tree and in front of Bianca.

The sound of a bullhead is heard as it comes into view above the three. The boy looks at it before looking at Bianca who isn't taking her eyes off him.

???: You asked my name.

He turns his body side ways and pulls Matilda back and tosses her at Bianca causing the Faunas to drop her sword and catch her teammate and looks at the boy.

???: Ask the boy.

The bullhead lands and atlas soldiers come out.

Bianca: What boy?!

He turns and walks into the woods.

Bianca: Son of a bitch!

She puts Matilda on the bullhead and grabs her sword and limps towards the boy. She's stopped by a soldier who gets in front of her.

Bianca: What are you doing?!

Atlas soldier: We have orders. We're to bring you back to beacon for debrief.

Bianca: But.

Atlas Soldier: We'll hunt him down after.

He looks to see Riley and what's left of Ash getting picked up by other soldiers.

Atlas soldier: You have my word.

Bianca looks at her bruised arm and nods before getting in the bullhead and checking on Matilda.

Bianca: ...What did he do to you Matty...?

The bullhead's doors close as the ship takes off back to beacon.

The boy watches the bullhead, from a hill, leave as he holds onto his red scarf. He pulls out the goggles Bianca had from his back pocket and pulls out a small SD card and destroys the goggles, tossing them over the hill. He nuzzles his red scarf before removing his hand from it as it blows in the wind along with his cloak.

He turns and continues his way into the woods, disappearing into the shadows.

A training robot took a swipe at you as you backflip kick it in the chin area and then throw your knife at its neck as it gets stuck. Another robot approaches and goes for a stab only for you to turn and grab its arm and grab the blunt side of its blade and push it to the ground.

You look at the robot with your knife still in its neck and hold the one you were on top of down with one hand as you use your other reaching up and grabbing the knife and pulling it out. You use it to cut the blade arm off and pick it up. You look at the other bot and push the blade arm down into its chest causing it to short circuit and fall.

Jasper: Remember, Adapt-

You turn around and run your knife deep into the robots head and drag it to the ground as it shuts down.

(Y/n): -And Overcome.

Another bot runs at you as you sweep its legs and it trips only for you to grab its leg, pull it towards you and punch it into the ground causing its head to spark on impact.

You look at the bruises on your knuckles.

Star: Feel the pain-

You clench your fist as a look of determination fills your eyes.

(Y/n): -But push through it.

You put your knife back in your hilt and go over to a bench where you left your water bottle and grabbed it. You drank some and breathed out softly.

Ike: Drink-

(Y/n): It's water Ike.

Ike: ...-Butneverforget. Come on it still has meaning to it!

Star: Anyway that was a good training session. Your making progress slowly.

He nods and steps outside the training arena and sees combinations of beacon, Atlas soldier and Atlas students running to the helipad.

Star: What's all the commotion?

You look to see a blue haired boy wearing a red vest followed by a blond monkey Faunas running towards you.

You stop them.

(Y/n): Hey what's going on?

Monkey Faunas: You don't know?! Team AMBR are here.

Blue haired boy: Sun come on! We have to at least get their autographs before they're swept up by Ironwood for training for the the Vystal tournament!

They run off as your eyes lit up.

(Y/n): Team AMBR?! Here?!

Star: They must be pretty famous.

(Y/n): They're like the second best team from Atlas besides the Ace ops! I didn't think they were going to compete this year!

You run to catch up with the crowd as the bullhead lands. You can't see much so you look around.

(Y/n): Ah!

You run up to a tree and climbed it, overlooking pass the crowd.

Ironwood and Ozpin walk passed the crowd and look at the bullhead as the doors open up. The crowd cheers but it comes to a stop as four soldiers carry out two covered up bodies on stretchers. The crowd makes way as they proceed on. You watch this and feel yourself lean more forward from your spot.

Ironwood turns back to the ship to see Bianca carrying a unconscious yet trembling Matilda.

Ironwood: Bianca!

He walks to her and looks at Matilda.

Ironwood: W-What happened..?!

Bianca looks up at Ironwood with tears in her eyes.

Bianca: There was a...I don't know what it was but...it showed up *sniffle* out of nowhere....not white fang or Grimm.

She broke down as Ozpin tells the students to disperse at once in which they did.

Bianca: Matilda won't wake up, she has some dark stuff around her eyes and Ash and Riley...they're-

Ironwood puts his hands on her cheeks.

Ironwood: Shhh. It's okay, don't say anymore.

She looks at him and nods slightly.

Ironwood: Let's take Matilda here to the infirmary so the professionals can figure out what's wrong.

Bianca doesn't respond. Only walks on.

Ozpin approaches Ironwood.

Ozpin: What did you have them do?

Ironwood: A simple silent infiltration. I swear. It was only Bianca and Ash that carried out the mission. I sent Riley and Matilda as back up support if things went bad.

Ozpin looks at Bianca walk to the infirmary.

Ozpin: By the looks of it...it went bad.

They follow Bianca as you drop down from the tree and watch them.

???: Damn. What do you think got them Neptune?

You turn to see the same monkey Faunas, 'Sun' You think you heard the blue haired boy known as Neptune call him, talking to...well, Neptune.

Neptune: Something strong by the looks of it. What was that about 'dark something' around Matilda's eyes and the fact she refused to wake up.

Star: (Y/n). Follow the headmasters.

You look away from the boys.

(Y/n): What? But-

Star: (Y/n)!....I'm sorry just please.

You nod to yourself and start walking, following after the headmasters.

Star: Please not yet. Surely the relic halted him a bit so we had enough time.....please.

(Y/n): ...Star..?

There was no response. Not from Star, Ike or Jasper. There was only silence.
