Before the doors to any of the two OR opened, the police had come.
They started interrogating the two women. The women were shaken enough to just inform them of the person inside.
The police was informed of Vikram's incident. They immediately asked for hospital footage and left Juhi to wait for news.
After long grueful hours, Vikram's doctor came out.
He saw Juhi and asked, " Where are his relatives?"
" His father is in the VIP room, unaware of all this. While, his mother must be with him. I'm his fiance, you may tell me."
The doctor said, " I can't inform anybody else apart from his kin."
" I'm his sister, sir. His cousin." said Sneha, she came there when she heard the doctor's argument.
" Yes. Vikram was stabbed in the back. His right kidney was damaged in the lower part. We had to remove that part of his kidney." Both Sneha and Juhi gasped, " Will he be okay?"
" Don't worry, a person can survive on a single kidney as well. So, it is not much of a problem. The cause of concern was he landed in shock during the surgery. He is under treatment and his vitals are relatively stable. But his body is weak. No pressure on him for at least a week."
Both the ladies nodded in relief. They hugged each other and thanked the lord. Now they had to worry about Rahul.
The police had gathered the footage and were not surprised to see the footage withdrawn.
They had expected this after a high profile case.
They found out the surgery's outcome and went to interrogate the doctor.
-
Somewhere in a lonely office, the landline rang. The person on the other line congratulated him. He frowned,

" Congratulations for what?"
" Obviously it was you behind Rahul's fall and Vikram's stabbing."
He hanged up the phone. He immediately went to the hospital.
-
Rahul's doctor came out, he found Sneha sitting outside patiently waiting for him, he approached her. She looked up and stood up abruptly to know of Rahul's condition.
" Your husband is stubborn. He has a great willpower to survive. Fall from a two storey building gave him a fracture femur and tibia on left side and fracture femur on right side. Other than that, he is fine. No neurological injuries detected as of now. We will do the tests when he will wake up. You have to let him take full bedrest for three weeks at least."
Sneha nodded in relief.
But her relief was not long.
She heard footsteps approaching.
She didn't turn around.
She knew who was it. She knew the sound of those steps since childhood.
They came to a halt a few steps behind her.
She roared, " Why did you do this? Those two were your best friends!"
His steps shuffled, " I didn't do this! "
But his words were unheard. She was deep in her own misery.
The police came and saw the two siblings. They were aware of the relations between the siblings and Vikram.
They had already had Ashok as one of their suspects. They took him under custody and asked him to come to police station at right this moment to record his statement.

She was sitting on her rocking chair enjoying the pleasures of the garden. They had her favorite roses everywhere.
She felt sorrow overcome her. How lovingly he had planted those flowers with his small hands.
Tears formed in her eyes but she angrily pushed them away. " No, you can't cry for him. He is not your blood."

She tried convincing her heart a lot but it was useless.
Her eyes had flashback after flashback of his childhood.
Ironically, she worked in an NGO where she supported adoption. How much was she blinded by greed and thirst for revenge? Instead of giving the world to that child she gave him a stab! He could bleed to death and nobody would know!
She felt bad for being so negligent in the past. Only if, she could connect with him! Only if she saw her deceased child in him and made his childhood full of flowers!
She was not a good mother.
She gave them the punishment of a sin which was not even a sin.
They had ofcourse hidden the truth but the child, her child was innocent.
She gave him punishment for no sin of his.
Tears dropped down her eyes.
