Office was the same, bustling with people doing their work, sounds of computers and various other machines.

The occasional coffee break was also seen.

Juhi made her way to her cubicle. But a pair of shoes came in line of her sight making her stop. Looking up she saw Mr. Verma standing in front of her. He had a straight face on. 'What was he doing in finance?' She thought.

Her question was answered before uttering. " Long time no see, Miss Mishra!"

He said in an attempt to zero her attention on him.

" Yea, I have been busy." She replied vaguely.

He smirked, " Busy with work or someone else, might I add?" His question ticked her off.

She looked square in his eyes hotly. He chuckled, " So the princess has got a temper. Are you sure you are a good match to my friend?"

She narrowed her eyes, " What friend? You guys are rivals. " Juhi answered squarely.

" Yes, how can I forget?" Mr. Verma smiled devilishly. " Do you know the reason behind our rivalry?" Juhi's eyes widened, she shaked her head in negation.

Mr. Verma crossed the distance between them and stood in close proximity of hers.

" Because he sided with the wrong!" His voice was calm but Juhi's insides were shaking.

" He is not wrong!" Juhi declared.

" Princess...you know everything?" He asked cynically. " I'm sure you don't. Otherwise you wont be saying this."

Juhi shut her eyes closed and reopened them with a new vigour, " I don't want to know. I trust him."

Mr. Verma was enraged.

She trusts him, who was wrong. His hands fisted and he tightly replied, " You will take your words back soon!" He turned away from her and started towards the elevator.

" Wait !" He stopped in his tracks not turning behind to look at her. " Why did you come here?" Juhi asked summoning courage.

" To make sure your father knows of my plans."

Juhi was stunned. She blinked multiple times and saw him going inside the elevator.

She quickly made way to her father's cabin.

Not paying heed to knocking and other manners, she barged in. " Dad!"

To her surprise two heads turned in her direction. One was her dad who looked concerned, while other was her soon to be husband,' what was he doing here?' She thought.

" What's wrong, beta?"

" Dad, Mr. Verma met me downstairs." She explained the events' downstairs to him.

Vikram was gazing at her with a straight face while her father's face was hardened.

She asked both of them, " Why is he after you?" She pointed to her dad.

He shouted, " Juhi...stop meddling in business, will you?"

Juhi flinched but shaked her head in negation.

" Then don't ask so many questions!" He was irritated.

Vikram looked in between them and sighed, " Juhi let's go out for lunch. It's time you know the whole ordeal!"

Juhi looked at her father for permission to find him staring back at her.

He sighed and motioned them to go.
