《Complications Of A Marriage ( COMPLETED)》Chapter 13

Juhi was going through her clothes since last 15 minutes. She was unable to find a cloth of her liking despite the fact that they were all bought because she liked them.
She had rushed back home at five, showered and ready to dress, only she couldn't find the dress.
" Agh, what should I wear? This is our first date and here I am going to be late..." she groaned frustrated.
She thought of asking someone for help, but the shyness won't let her do so.Suddenly her brain started to think of their first meeting..
How he didn't show any signs of liking for her appearance, made her think 'Is it even worthy to look for 'the' clothes?'. Her mind came to a stop with that thought.
She turned back to her clothes and grabbed the first suit her eyes fell on.
She got ready in thirty minutes make up included. She was sure she broke a few records when it comes to dressing up for the first date.
Now looking at the mirror, she was satisfied with her look, but then the thoughts of Vikram interfered. In a fit of impulse, she had dressed up to her liking not paying a head to his likes and dislikes, that too on their first date.
She was compelling her self to go look for a dress that would suit the makeup, when her phone beeped. Picking it up, her heart beats fastened,
Juhi scrambled out of the closet, looked for her clutch and shoved her phone inside it.
She almost ran downstairs when she heard voices, slowing her pace and maintaining a poise, she got down.
There in front of her was Vikram dressed in his signature black suit, the one that matched with the colour of his eyes. She never thought she would love black eyes, there was nothing attractive about those for her earlier, but Vikram had changed her views about those.

She was lost in her thoughts, when she heard the voice of her parents calling her over to join them. She went there. Her parents got up along with Vikram, welcoming her, perhaps. Vikram joined her side.
The parents adored the couple. They looked so young and pretty. Fact was they were both young as well as pretty but had a sense of maturity which overshadowed their young age.
Mr. Mishra broke out of his thoughts when he felt a nudge from his dear wife. Shaking his head at her, he along with his lovely wife shooed the young couple away in a way only Indian parents could master.
Once inside the car, there was a silence. Juhi was uncomfortable, so was Vikram. So, Vikram taking the initiative asked, " How was your day?"
" It was good, yours?"
" The usual."
Suddenly it striked Juhi that she didn't know where they were going,
" Um, Vikram where are we going?"
" Took you long enough to ask!", he laughed it off.
Juhi's cheeks turned pink, she was amazed at her carefree attitude around this guy.
She was unaware of the place they were going to, what was wrong with her. Perhaps, she trusted him too much that too so soon.
Vikram glanced at her in between, to see her lost in thoughts.
He cleared his throat, gaining her attention and said, " We are almost there, see for yourself." She nodded and looked around to Vikram's amusement.
Once her eyes fell upon the 'The Royal Root' they glistened with love, love for their food. It was her favorite restaurant afterall.
Pulling over Vikram climbed out of the car, to go to her side. Before she could open the door, he had opened it for her. She looked up at him in confusion, when he forwarded his hand to her. She kept her hand in his and climbed outside, she said nothing until they were seated inside.

Vikram had pulled the chair for her, she was new to all this. Nobody gave her a hand to walk out of the car, or pulled chairs for her. To her this was 'Filmy stuff'.
She had a emotional roller coaster going inside her head.
Sighing, she looked up to find Vikram's gaze was fixed on her. Her heart started beating at a faster pace, adding to her unease. There he sat dressed in his black suit and white shirt looking handsome, with the lights in the restaurant enhanced his features.
He had a strong jaw with a five'o clock shadow, black eyes that drew her in to get lost into them.
Vikram had noticed Juhi was quiet. He thought may be the restaurant was not to her liking but before he could open his mouth. He noticed her rapidly changing expressions, so he saw the changes, how it went from awe to shy to rolling her eyes.
She was dressed beautifully, a grey kurta falling to her knees, accompanied by pink pants and dupatta.
She looked every bit a classy lady, the ones his mother met on her social gatherings.
Her eyes were very expressive, he had looked into them the previous time and had got lost in them, just like today.
He heard a sigh and that's when Juhi glanced up from her laps. Before he could utter a word, he saw her gazing into his eyes. He looked back at her and was lost in her hazel eyes.
Their moment was broken by the waiter who had come to ask for their orders. They both looked at each other and chuckled, they were so lost into each other, they didn't bother checking the menu.
Vikram asked him to come back in a few minutes, while they went through the menu.
