Listening to Ace is not something I do alot . But when I do , I never regret it .

Deciding to give Crystal the money we made from selling Jason's house was a relief . We've finally gotten her out of our hair.

Honestly I'm just tired of fixing Jason's mistake , I'm tired of being at the receiving end of Jason's karma. I'm just glad that Crystal , Diana and Emily are out of my life

I did ask about the younger child , I learnt that Crystal was married but she got divorced. The child - Ria, so I've learnt the name - was the only one in the marriage.

Well, we've closed the chapter called Jason.

Today is Hero's birthday , finally turning three . And yet again ,I'm running after him to put on his pants .

"Hero! Get back here. Ace , please help!" I yell .

"Baby , just leave him ! He'll tire himself out!" Ace yells from the bedroom .

We're having a little party , with our closest friends and family over.

I quietly clean the house as Ace carries a sleepy Hero to bed . My little man .

My tummy hasn't started to show yet , and my family doesnt know that I'm pregnant again.

My hand drops to my stomach , what will the baby be like?

What would be the gender? How will they be when connected to the community ? Will they get along with Hero the way I wish they would?

"Babe , you have to get ready . Kim will be here in a few." He says , smiling down at me .

"Can we shower ... together?" I ask , dragging my eyes over his body .

For a man that's knocking on the door of fourty , he is still extremely sexy and looks like he is twenty .

"Dont look at me like that. What if Hero walks in on us?" He says .

I know exactly what it does to him when I drag my eyes over his body. I continue doing it until he drags me to the bath .

He washes my hair and it feels great .

"Are we matching?" He asks as he dries my hair .

"If you want to . We could wear white." I say to him .

"Babe , we always match with white . Why can't we add a new colour ? Maybe blue denim?" He says , I agree with him though .

As he sits on the bed naked , I pick out a few jeans of his that he can wear.

"My wife is picking out jeans for me as if I'm my son's age." He mumbles .

"I heard that Mr Bernett. " I say to him . He smiles but still says nothing .

"Of course you did Mrs Bernett." He says .

I compare the denim colour to that of my mid leg length skirt . It matches , his Gucci jeans are one of the first things I bought for him when he was released.

Soon I'm dressed in a stunning white blouse and the denim skirt and gold sandals .

I'm out to prepare Hero , guests are about to arrive .

Bathing him is definitely one of the biggest issues . Getting him in the water is a problem , getting him out is a bigger one .

I smile at him , once I'm satisfied with how he looks is a white dress shirt , similar pants to his dad and Jordan air sneakers .

"Are you ready?" I ask Ace , he is baking cookies all on his own . Yep , I'm that good of a teacher .

And he learns fast , he made apple pie , that was edible but tasted really weird. But that's how we start right?

A knock on the door has my sandals scratching over the herringbone tiles towards the door .

"Hey!" Beth says , outreaching her arms to hug me.

I hug her , her husband and Momma .

Beth suddenly disappears then comes back with Hero in her arms .

"Where's Jeremy?" I ask Mike . He smiles then walks closer to that he doesnt have to elevate his voice too much .

"Keke wanted to spend time with him." He says with a chuckle.

"People do change now dont they?" I ask through a chuckle of my own.

"Maybe they do , or maybe they're just jealous ." He says with a smile .

"What do you mean?" I ask , suddenly feeling the urge to know more .

"Jeremy grew up knowing Beth as his mom , and four ago he started calling Beth mom , and Keke 'aunt Keke' . Her family got upset , so they insisted that Jeremy spends time with his mother ." He says smiling .

It's amazing how positive he can stay. I dont know much about his relationship with Beth , but I do know that he loves her dearly .

My smile never falters as I stare at him waking back to her .

Soon Kim arrives , Hero goes crazy . He lunges himself to Megan and they embrace each other .

Although I dont hear exactly what they are discussing, Megan keeps smiling and laughing. These two .

"I see a little something too." Kim says near my ear .

We both chuckle. I cant wait to tell then about the pregnancy . My tongue is literally itching to tell Kim , she's my bestfriend .

Outside , the pool is decorated with water balls and balloons.

The backyard looks amazing . Food is everywhere and there's also a piñata . He cried for it after he saw it on his favourite movie Cocoa.

The love I have for this little man is behind explainable. There are no words I find suitable to make anyone understand.

We finally sing happy birthday. His smile is huge and filled with pride.

"Make a wish Hero!" I say to him .

I hear the snap of a camera as I speak to Hero .

"Have you made a wish?" I ask him . He nods .

"Yes mommy." He says .

"Blow the candle."I day with excitement. I dont actually expect him to know how to turn off the three shaped candle but it gives me satisfaction to see his red cheeks from how hard he tried .

I blow it down for him . And everyone bursts into cheers . I laugh as he claps his hands eagerly .

I might have been feeding him some cake in secret.

I hold his little hand as we slice the cake .

Cheers fill the atmosphere . Everyone screams and clap in happiness.

Ace holds me from behind . I know its him without even looking because of how goosebumps raise on my skin .

"Did I tell you how gorgeous you look when you tie your hair in that messy bun?" He asks . Rubbing his hands up and down my arms .

"No , you haven't. But thank you babe." I say to him. He kisses my temple and smiles.

"He looks so happy." He says staring straight at the little human that we created .

He smiles as he plays on my phone , Megan tries to press something but that only causes him to laugh even louder at her choice.

They both laugh and go back to playing games .

Soon they start arguing over something.

"Give it back, it's my mom's ." Hero says . Grabbing the phone forcefully from Megan's arms.

"Now that's not really nice is it? Apologise to Megan ." I say to him .

For a moment , he seems to want to be cheeky. But one look from me and he stares back at Megan .

"I'm sowwy Megan." He says . It's the cutest thing when Meg hugs him .

"Okay , okay. It's time to open the presents . " I say .

Everyone gathers around a little table as we open gifts for Hero , he's still a little too young to do that himself .

We grab a small box , its wrapped in a bright green wrapper and a black bow .

"That one is from Auntie Kim." I read out .

We open it and Hero pulls out a Ben 10 watch , I think it's called an Omnitrix or something along those lines.

"Thank you auntie Kim , I'll never take it off." He says smiling brightly . His little teeth are so cute .

And with that going , Hero opens the many other gifts that he got . He got a bike, a sewn sweater from momma , the cutest sneakers from Beth and Mike and we bought him those cute cars kids usually drive.

He's currently taking Meg for a ride .

"I'd like to make an announcement. " I say . The adults gather around me as I master up the strength to speak.

This would be a good time for wine , but I cant really drink .

"What's the announcement ?" Beth asks in anticipation .

"Okay . " I say and Ace slides a hand on the smalls of my back . The movement of his thumb calms me down with immediate effect .

I stare back at the people I love the most in my entire life . The ones who've always been there and those who've altered their lives just to accommodate me .

"I'm pregnant. " I say and nothing could explain the explosion of joy that I've just witnessed .

Everyone starts yelling and jumping up and down . The next thing I realise , Beth pops a bottle of champagne.

"Congratulations Cassiey , we're all happy for you!!" She yells.

Now isn't this what life should really be like?
