Recap; last chapter Eleanor and Akia talked about her place in the palace if she successfully gives birth to the sun king, Asuka aka Apollo (the siren who wants to steal a magical stone hidden inside Akia) meets the king and they share a kiss.

Mina could attest to the fact that the queen was in a foul mood. She was barely standing still. Her body was shaking and her eyebrows stayed furrowed. She looked so angry that the two maids in her large chambers stood tall with straight backs and steady legs.

"You're not kidding?, you really saw the majesty kiss some common whore?" She growled, her anger was so evident.

"I believe her name was Asuka, she's in the pageant." Ophelia said and the queen starts trembling, her expression twisting into one of pure rage.

"He promised me... promised me that no matter what I'D BE THE ONLY ONE!, HE PROMISED HE'D NEVER HUMILIATE ME, FIRST HE BRINGS A DEGENERATE INTO MY PALACE AND THEN HE PULLS THIS-" The queen began screaming, it was a full bellow of pain and Mina couldn't believe her eyes as the furniture around the queen begins levitating, her long red hair and heavy king sized oak wood bed and mattress included.

All Mina heard was a gasp coming from the room before she sees Ophelia's eyes turn to her. Before she could speak the heavy door slams shut with a loud pound. she lets out a gush of air. Her heart pounding against her rib cage.

"Mina right?"

Mina turns to a Kings guard, she's shivering, her legs quivering as the events replayed in her mind.

"Hello?, I wanted to ask if you could sneak me into Akia's room."

Mina's vision cleared up enough to recognize the man as Clast Kenya.

The dark skinned man stared at her curiously as she shook the tray of a tea accessories.

"Are you alright?" Clast asked and Mina nods.

"I can't take you to Akia, I'm working for the queen for the rest of the pageant." Mina said avoiding eye contact with the guard.

Clast coughs and then laughs hysterically.

"Oh my goddess, it's you isn't it?" Clast asked and Mina raised an eyebrow, her hands trembling some more.

"You're the maid that was accused of forcing yourself on another mai-" Clast said, Mina blushes bright red.

"Must you always be so unbearable all the time?" A deep voice said behind Clast and both him and Mina are startled by it.

"Michael?" Clast asked, surprised that the missing kings guard had just spontaneously returned just like that.

"Clast." Michael said turning to the shorter man.

"Harassing another young lady I see, nothing's changed since my break." Michael said and Clast glared at him.

"When did you get approved for a break?" Clast asked and Michael turned towards him.

"You May have been too busy planning to throw another family member under the king to notice I turned in my notice."

Clast angryly grabbed the taller man's body armor bringing him to his slightly shorter frame.

"She forgave me." He hissed. Staring into Michael's lifeless green eyes.

"Is that what helps you sleep at night?" He asked his eyes glaring into Clast's all the same.

"I'm going to go now." Mina said rushing off.

Clast follows behind her with Michael hot on his trail.

"Look I'm sorry about earlier, I should've never mentioned such a hideous scandal. I just need to see my sister, I have something very special to give her." Clast said and Mina sighs and turns to Clast.

"Look, I get her breakfast tomorrow. If you meet me in the morning I can sneak you into her chambers." Mina said turning to him.

Michael walks over to her and raises a hand, Mina curls under it.

Abuse from kings guards towards maids wasn't unheard off in the palace.

He grabs a strand of her hair and pulls it from the rest to look at it much more closer. He sees a shiver stand on the bottom of the strand.

Evidence of a close encounter with moon magic.

Mina grabs her hair strand back.she looks at the man as if he had two heads and then walks away, the wooden tray and porcelain tea accessories still beautiful and in place.

Mina walks past the garden on her way to the maid quarters.

She sees the king and a girl cuddled up together, talking.

Her heart surges.

Mina bows and is dismissed immediately by the king.

"Wait are you hungry?" The king asked the girl.

"Sure I can eat." The girl says and Mina is about to walk away when the king calls her back. She walks back towards him.

"Your majesty." She says and the girl smiles wickedly upon seeing her.

"Come closer." The king said and Mina does, kneeling in front of the king.

"You're going to let my friend here take a bite alright?, she won't hurt you. She just needs you to stay still."

"Yes your majesty." Mina rasped our fear coursing through her. She's never been this close to the king, never noticed how terrifying his eyes are.

The girl gets on her knees too, she holds Mina's jaw and places a kiss on her lips, it's soft it's simple. It's a thank you.

The girl moves Mina's neck to the side.

Her jaw dislocates and long fangs extend from her upper gums.

Mina is about to scream from horror but two guards stand in front of the king. The girl's fangs enter back into her gum and she sighs before patting Mina's cheek.

"What's the meaning of this?" The king said voice loud and in command.

"Your majesty Akia has requested your presence."

"Tell her to meet me here." The king said turning back to watch the show expecting the guards to leave.

"She specifically requested your presence in her chambers your majesty."

"Who does she think she is to request for me." The king asked. The girl besides him giggles.

The king goes anyway and once he's there he opens the chambers doors.

Akia is laying on her bed in her night gown and caressing her stomach.

"You better be dying." The king said and Akia chuckles.

"No, just too lazy." Akia said and the king doesn't look impressed at all.

He's irritated by her behavior, even the queen doesn't request for the king privately.

"You must have a better reasoning for calling me here." The king said.

"My friend Eleanor wants to marry someone of her choice."

" she should consider joining the military then."

"You know women don't get chosen to join the military."

"That's too bad, really." The king said about to turn away.

"I want her to be able to choose who she wants to marry. Just give your blessings for her to marry whoever she brings forward."

"Why would I do that?" The king asked.

"Because I'm carrying your child your majesty." Akia said sitting up with a sweet smile on her face.

"I also want to be able to leave the palace on quarter moons."

"You don't get to make requests just because you're pregnant. That baby is mine and so are you. I don't have to do anything I don't want to. Especially if property asks." The king sneers and Akia is a little shocked. He was being so unlike him. He was speaking and acting rashly.

He was usually very carefully with his words.

Akia notices a glint in his eyes that usually isn't there. She walks over to him, he turns avoiding eye contact. Akia's nose fills up with the scent of cherry blossoms and honey. The scent is so strong that it causes her nose to burn.

"What's that smell?" Akia asked and the king smirks.

"Can you smell that?, that's the smell of the girl I'm going to be fucking tonight." The king said and Akia gasped at his words.

"There's something wrong with you isn't there?" Akia asked, the burning in her nose makes her eyes water.

She reaches out to grab the king's robe and he snatched her hand, Pulling it off.

"Octavius.." Akia said tears slipping down her cheeks. Her nose starts bleeding from the heat in her nose.

"Do you have no respect?" The king raises a hand and swings it.

Akia whimpers and bows to him.the king can't bring himself to hit her, so he puts his hand down.

"You don't hold any actual significance in this palace, don't forget that." The king said turning around to walk out the door.

"As for your friend, I'll make sure she marries with my blessings." The king said with something so sinister in his voice that Akia can't imagine it being a positive for Eleanor.

"Your highness." Akia said before the man can walk out of the chambers. She wipes the blood from her nose and walks over to him.

"There's something off about you.. isn't there?" Akia asked.

"I can sense it, inside of me."

The king glares in her direction.

"Fuck off."

Akia walks towards him and without wavering she stands on her tiptoes and places a kiss onto his lips. It's gentle and soft but it leaves the king gasping.

He wraps strong arms around her waist.

Akia shivers with disgust under his hold but decides that it was best not to show it.

"Akialine?" The king asked as if he's surprised by her presence in front of him.

"Your majesty."

"There's a siren in the palace." The king said.

"Perhaps that siren is me." Akia said before placing her lips on the kings once more. A dangerous heat courses through her and she's aroused.
