Edward was torn. Aquila's words hit him. He's trying to put the pieces together. Alice wasn't sure if she's human. She keeps on giving the lollipops that makes their urge to drink human disappear. And her eyes turned gold for a split second for heavens sake! When Carlisle entered the house, Edward quickly went up to him and whisked him inside the doctor's office.

"Carlisle, do you know anything about Aquila Black? Is she a shifter? Ephraim's descendant?" Edward asked quickly.

"She isn't a Quileut descendant as far as I know. She's British and her mother is Charlie Swan's adopted sister." Carlisle answered

"Adopted?"

"Yes. Charlie once told me that Luna Swan was left on his parents doorstep before they had him. Nobody knew who her parents were. She attended a boarding school in Scotland where she met her husband and had a daughter which is Aquila. She was supposed to attend the same school Luna attended. About Aquila's father, all we know is that his surname is Black and he isn't related to Billy Black." The coven leader stated. "Why did you asked?"

"Aquila is not human, that I know. But I want to know what she is. She is my mate after all. But she won't tell me unless I could tell her a secret." Edward explained. "I want to ask everyone's permission about telling Aquila what we are. Although I think she already knows and she's just waiting for me to come clean." Carlisle pondered on his adoptive son's words. Aquila Black didn't smell like a shifter and she is most certainly not a vampire. Before he could answer Edward, Alice bursted into the office and smiled at them.

"I already gathered everyone in the living room. They're ready." She beamed excitedly. Edward knew she saw something but Alice is good at hiding her thoughts and memories of the vision.

Rosalie was angry. Everyone, even Emmett, agreed to tell Aquila their secret. Sure she was civil towards the young Black but that doesn't mean she wanted her to be entangled in their world. She feels like she's the only one protecting this girl from their world.

"Rose, don't worry too much. She won't be in danger. I saw it." Alice soothes her coven sister.

Bell was standing at the spot where the accident happened. She was sure Edward was nowhere near Aquila. Why would Aquila lie about him being near? Does Aquila know Edward's secret? Why would Edward save Aquila? Her eyes shifted into the direction of Aquila who was leaning on her undamaged motorcycle reading a book with an odd cover written in another language. Her cousin doesn't look like someone who was almost killed on an accident.

Bella watched as Aquila walked to Mr. Molina who was asking for everyone's permission slip. Her gaze at her cousin hardened when she saw Edward approached Aquila with Alice and Jasper not so far away from them. She saw how Edward smiled at Aquila and her cousin smiled at him too.

Edward decided to approach Aquila as if nothing happened. He smiled at her and she returned the favor. But before they could exchange greetings, Mike Newton interrupted them.

"Look! You're moving! You're alive!" Aquila gave the Newton boy an unamused expression.

"Really? I'm pretty sure I'm just a ghost who wants to go on a field trip." Edward snorted after hearing her reply to Mike. This made Mike blush in embarrassment.

"Actually I'm glad you're not dead 'cause, well, that would suck. Plus I wanted to ask you even though it's like a month away." Aquila and Edward exchanged looks, fully knowing what Mike wants. "So what do you think? You want to go? To prom? With me?"

Before Aquila could reply, Edward butted in. He doesn't like the mere thought of his mate going to prom with any other guy or girl. "I don't think she'd be available to go with you." He said as he pulled Aquila by the waist.

Aquila gave Edward an amused look then she turned back to Mike. "What he said. I think Jessica would like to go with you. I mean it's obvious she likes you. Why don't you sweep her off her feet?" She said, trying to let him down slowly. What better way to do that than to boost his bruised ego?

"You know what? I will ask her. Thanks Aquila."

When Mike walked away, Aquila faced Edward with a stern look. Edward was nervous. Did he stepped out of the line?

"You just lost me a potential date. Now you have to do something to compensate for the damage." Edward chuckled at Aquila's statement.

"Then perhaps I can be your date?" Edward ask.

"I was thinking about you threatening someone to ask me but I think going with you would have to do." She teased. He shook his head as she led him to their bus.

At the greenhouse, Alice and Jasper were walking ahead of them as Mr. Molina and a tour guide was leading the rowdy teens through the greenhouse. Mr. Molina told Eric to stuff the compost deep. The machine gurgled and spins, creating a compost tea which Tyler jokingly motioned to sip earning a scolding from Mr. Molina.

Aquila and Edward were walking side by side quietly. Then Aquila noticed Edward paused by an ancient staghorn fern. Then Edward shifted his attention to Aquila who was standing a few steps ahead of him.

"Aquila."

"Yes?"

"I thought about what you said at the hospital. Trust does go both ways. Maybe one of these days I'd be able to be honest with you. Would you be honest with me too?" Edward hopefully asked. Aquila gave him a reassuring smile.

Their conversation was interrupted when Jessica dragged Aquila away, gushing about Mike asking her to prom. Aquila sent a pleasing look at Edward asking him to take her away and that he did.

None of them noticed a brunette observing them from afar with a jealous look on her face. Aquila just has to be the center of attention, doesn't she? Everyone's attention would've been on her if she's the only new girl.

When Aquila and Bella arrived home, Bella threw her bag and coat in anger. Aquila gave her a weird look which she reciprocated with a harsh glare. Aquila was about to ask her if she had a problem with her but then Bella marched into her room and slammed her door.

Charlie, who hadn't witnessed Bella's outburst, walked towards Aquila. "You should check your room. I believe three owls dropped three letters." Aquila smiled at her uncle and nods. " I advise you to put a silencing charm on your room though. The letters were red." Charlie whispered which made Aquila's eyes widen.

"Oh no." She whispered as she ran towards her bedroom.

Two howlers. One from Narcissa. One from Andromeda. One from Molly. Aquila gulped and casted a silencing charm on her room. She opened Andromeda's letter first.

"AQUILA CALLISTO BLACK!

WHY DIDN'T YOU WRITE TO ME ABOUT YOUR NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE IN SCHOOL?! IF I NYMPHADORA DIDN'T CATCH NYMPHADORA'S CALL TO CHARLIE I WOULD'VE BEEN OBLIVIOUS! WE SENT YOU THERE TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE SAFE FROM ALL THE CHAOS IN THE MAGICAL WORLD! BUT SURPRISINGLY MUGGLE CONTRAPTIONS ARE AS CAPABLE OF KILLING YOU AS ANY OTHER CURSES! YOU BETTER WRITE A REPLY TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OR MERLIN HELP ME I WILL TAKE YOU BACK, SHRINK YOU AT THE SIZE OF A BOWTRUCKLE AND HIDE YOU INSIDE AN UNBREAKABLE AND HIGHLY CHARMED JAR!

Aquila paled after finishing the first howler. She bit her lips as she opened Narcissa's howler.

I WANT THE NAME OF THE OWNER OF THAT BLASTED CAR. I WILL SHOW HIM WHY NOBODY SHOULD MESS WITH A BLACK! YOU DARE TO HIDE THIS INFORMATION FROM ME?! DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE BECAUSE OF A HEART ATTACK?! YOU ALMOST GOT SQUASHED BY A STUPID CAR!

WHAT? WHO WAS ALMOST SQUASHED BY A CAR? DON'T TELL ME IT'S WILLA?

HOW DARE YOU ACT LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISPLEASED! YOUR AUNT ANDROMEDA ALMOST FAINTED WHEN WE DISCOVERED YOU WERE INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT! YOU ALMOST DIED! I am so sorry for this short and very late update. Seems like hunting for a boarding house isn't as easy as it looks. The upcoming opening of classes isn't helping either. I'll try to update more.

And I'm contemplating on diving into Aquila's mother's true identity or should I just put it on the next fun fact?

Cedric Diggory asked Aquila to the prom but she turned him down because Cho Chang turned down Harry because Cho thought Cedric was going to ask her. So Aquila went with Harry instead because 'Bros before hoes'.
