Aquila was late. Super late. If it wasn't for Bella's loud truck, Aquila wouldn't have woken up. She cursed herself and she cursed her jetlagged brain.
But being a witch has its perks. She was able to fix her things in a swish of her wand and dry herself, fix herself some strawberry milkshake with whipped cream, do her hair and get ready to go. Most girls would take an hour or two but for Aquila it only took her twenty minutes, fifteen minutes spent showering and five minutes spent on getting ready. She was already on her way out when he saw Charlie's note to Bella to not disturb her and let her sleep in. Charlie knew she had jet lag since it had only been a day since she arrived. But she's already dressed up for school so she left her uncle a note telling him she decided to go.
She made sure to cast a charm that would stop her strawberry milkshake to spill and took off with her motorcycle. The parking lot was empty when she arrives and only a few students were walking outside. Looking at her watch, she only have two minutes before class starts. She ignored their stares and headed towards the school.
After getting her schedule, she headed to her first class which is History. She was twenty minutes late but the teacher dismissed her after knowing her name. Thankfully this is a small town and news travels fast. Her teacher gave her the benefit of the doubt since Charlie already told them Aquila might skip the first couple days of classes. The teacher was already impressed of her eagerness to go to school.
She sat beside the only empty chair in the classroom beside a blond guy with golden eyes. He looks like he's holding his breath as he sat stiffly giving Aquila as much space as possible.
Then and there Aquila knew something was different from him. His skin was too pale and flawless. His eyes were a peculiar shade of gold. His beauty was inhumane. And when they accidentally brushed each other's hands, it dawned on her. He's a cold one.
As the teacher rambles about their lesson, Aquila's mind drifted towards her Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson. And based on the guy beside her's eye color, he's a vampire who feeds on animal blood. She knew a cold one once. Her name is Maggie and she helped Aquila in her DADA homework about cold ones when they met at Honeydukes.
After learning that cold ones cannot keep food down their stomachs, Aquila felt sad for Maggie thus she searched about a way to help her thirst while giving her a little human experience. That's when she discovered that dragon blood is effective in keeping vampire bloodlust under control thus she made it into a lollipop or as she and Maggie would call it the Bloodpop. She admires the self control that the vampire beside her possesses. She wandlessly summoned a bloodpop.

She discretely slides the bloodpop towards the vampire. The blonde guy raised his brow on her whilst she only mouthed 'it will help' with a knowing smirk.
Jasper Whitlock, now known as Jasper Hale, was surprised about the sudden action of this new girl. Alice saw her coming, Aquila Black, but they don't know why. She intrigued him thus he only nodded at her and put the peculiar lollipop on his pocket. That was their only interaction throughout the class. Others didn't noticed but he did. Aquila Black had been sipping on her strawberry milkshake and the milkshake is still full and as good as new.
Two more classes passed and Aquila made a new friend. Angela Webber, a very gentle soul. She reminds Aquila of Hermione and Susan. Angela and Aqulia are walking together towards the cafeteria. They sat on the table where Angela's friends are. She was introduced to Jessica who is sitting beside Bella. Together, they had been eyeing her with silent judgement and fake smile. Mike Newton, Tyler Crowley and Erik Yorkie had been hitting on her.
Suddenly Eric stated that Mike met his 'homegirl' Bella which, in Aquila's opinion, is stupid. She tried to ignore everyone except Angela who is the only person she can tolerate. Angela tried to snap a picture from Bella and Aquila but Eric defended them after Bella became a stuttering mess which is obviously fake if you ask Aquila but well it's her cousin's shenanigans and she refused to get into trouble for it.
Angela and Aquila's conversation about stars is interrupted when Bella spoke up.
"Who are they?" Bella asked not taking her eyes off the group. Aquila glanced at where Bella's gaze is and internally slapped her face.
'I admire their control but they don't blend in...at all!' Aquila thought shaking her head lightly.
"The Cullen's." Angela answered.
"They're Dr. and Mrs. Cullen's foster kids. They move down here from Alaska, like, a few years ago." Jessica informed them.
"They kind of keep to themselves." Angela said.
"Yeah, 'cause they're together. Like together, together." Jessica added. As if on que a huge brunette haired boy with a beautiful blonde girl entered the cafeteria. "The blonde girl, that's Rosalie. And the big dark haired guy, Emmett, they're like a thing. I'm not even sure that's legal."
"So what if they're together? Do children from foster cares who dates here in America go to jail, because we don't do that in England." Aquila remarked sarcastically with her prominent British accent which made Jessica winced. A certain blonde had to keep herself from snorting while her boyfriend is holding in his laughter.
"Well no. But they live together. It's weird." Jessica told her. When a brunette girl and the guy Aquila sat with entered the cafeteria, Jessica took it as an opportunity to bring the topic back to the Cullens. "The little dark haired girl's Alice. She's really werid. And she's with Jasper, the blonde one who looks like his in pain."

"Anybody in your judgemental vicinity would be in pain." Aquila muttered under her breath which made one bulky and one pixie-like vampire laugh, one loudly and the other elegantly.
"Maybe he'll adopt me." Angela joked which made Aquila giggle.
"Who's he?" Bella asked.
Aquila looked towards the direction she's looking at and accidentally looked at the bronze haired boy in the eye. She felt her magical core going all haywire and she doesn't know how. She couldn't look away and neither is the boy.
"That's Edward Cullen," for once Aquila was thankful for Jessica's annoying voice snapping her out of her staring contest with the boy. " He's totally gorgeous, obviously. But apparently nobody here's good enough for him. Like I care you know." Jessica rambled as he sat with his siblings. "Seriously don't waste your time."
"I'd rather fling myself off of the astronomy tower than hear another one of your judgemental rambling. Seriously, Bella only asked who they are not their life story. Instead of telling her who they are you practically described them through how you see them which is based highly on speculations and self centered opinions. That is a first hand display of narrow-mindedness which would've sullen a person's opinion about them if they are stupid enough to rely on your words alone. So please do excuse my rudeness and I apologies for not being apologetic. In layman's terms, your opinion is highly irrelevant and if you still don't understand then forgive me for being incapable of dumbing it down onto your level. And now I must take my leave." Aquila said then she stood up with her milkshake.
Aquila sent an apologetic look towards Angela who looked at her in awe without sparing a glance towards a shocked and embarrassed Jessica and a very mesmerized group of boys who got turned on by her display of dominance. She ignored Bella's burning stares who is clearly annoyed by her cousin's intervention, stealing her spotlight in the process. Not to mention Edward Cullen has never taken his eyes off her cousin while she's trying her best to make him notice her. Aquila gave them a pointed look while sipping on her milkshake before walking away while radiating an intimidating confidence. She's a Black after all.
The Cullens stared at Aquila Black openly. They were stunned at how she discretely defended them while putting Jessica on her place. Emmett had been snickering about the new girl's remarks. Alice was smiling widely after seeing a vising she made sure Edward doesn't know. Rosalie looked at the girl with respect for being a less nosy human unlike her cousin who keeps on glancing at them. Edward was confused and so was Jasper.
"So?" Alice with a knowing look asked Edward asking about what's inside the new girls' minds after Aquila exited the cafeteria.
"I cannot read anything from either of them. Isabella's mind is just blank and everytime I try to read Aquila's mind, it feels like I'm under Jane's gift." Edward frustratedly whispered.
"She gave me a lollipop." Jasper said out of nowhere showing his siblings the red lollipop that Aquila gave him.
"You know what will happen everytime we eat human food." Rosalie said, rolling her eyes.
"I dare you to eat it here Jaz." Emmett smirked. Jasper raised a brow.
"What would I get if I do?"
"I'll let you drive the Jeep."
"Deal."
As soon as the lollipop touched Jasper's tongue, he froze. Edward, who read his mind, was shocked.
'It taste like honey. Not the honey that we find disgusting as vampires. It's like real honey.'
Jasper felt his bloodlust disappear. For once, his desire to drink the blood of the people that surrounds them disappeared. He and Edward looked at the lollipop in bewilderment. Jasper showed Edward his memory earlier with the girl when she gave him the lollipop.
'It will help'

Hi! This is the first Twilight fanfiction I've wrote and I'm so excited about it. This is actually inspired by a lot of other fanfics with Harry Potter crossovers.
I wrote this with "What would I do if I'm in twilight" in mind. I really hate how underdeveloped most characters in Twilight were and how toxic the relationship between Edward and Bella was so I will do a lot of changes that would make this story different from canon.
Also please do excuse my poor grammar and typographical errors. English is not my first language and I haven't fully edited the chapters so feel free to point out if you'd like to correct anything.
Forgive me for making Bella a very toxic character.
Okay let's just recast Cedric Diggory because I can't have doppelgangers in this universe. I imagine him as Thomas Doherty. He might be mentioned in the future chapters.
If you want to know why it's called Pureblood although Aquila's mother is a muggle's sister, an explanation would be given later on.
Maggie is the younger vampire from the Irish Coven.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

Galduta
What seperates beasts from men isn't the language we speak or any such drivel taught to us in school. It isn't the way we walk or our intelligence that sets us apart. Some would have you believe that it is our ability to think and reason that makes us fundamentally different from the creatures that inhabit the world. That way of thinking, my friends, is entirely wrong. What seperates us from them and them from each other, is simply the skin that we all wear
